Shack Shine Vancouver Central

I used Shack Shine last year for my roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, window cleaning and power washing for my driveway. The Shack Shine crew did a fantastic job! I appreciated that the crew took the extra effort to really do a deep clean on the roof to remove all the moss and years of accumulated grime. I was long overdue for a deep roof clean and couldn't be more pleased with the work. Windows and gutters were also done to expectations. The crew was very polite, respectful and professional. Thank you for the work - really appreciate it!

They did our Christmas lights. Did a pretty good job, confusion with scheduling- they kept confusing us with a different client?
When I was paying I was prompted for a tip- I felt awkward and ended up tipping hundreds of dollars for a service I already paid a lot for. I won't use them again as I am awkward and dont want to feel like an ass for skipping a tip feature on something that I'm paying a lot for. Pay your own employees.

Shack Shine installed landscape lights which kept malfunctioning. After many attempts to schedule repairs the franchise finally returned my call to schedule - however; they did not show up due to "overbooking." Rebooked - same thing, no one showed up. Had to repair using a different service.

Lights broke again and this time I require a new socket, which I cannot find. Shack Shine did not respond despite 3 emails and phone calls. Finally the did, and said that "they will not be repairing."

Stay away, far away.

First time they came they did not have correct equipment to clean our 2 storey gutters. Second appointment they didn't even show. Not happy to have wasted a morning hanging around for nothing

We did not use the service but our neighbors did ... the shine guys used a gas-powered pressure washer and did not check where building air intake was. We were thus overwhelmed by exhaust fumes for at least four hours.

If you use these guys, 1) tell your neighbors, 2) make sure that the shine people check for how they're impacting your neighbors for things like exhaust, noise, and overspray

That's all we would say. Can't comment on their work, other than this, but our experience leaves us as a big "no" on them.

Verrry disappointing...poor attention to details, I.e skylights and ledges definitely not sparkling clean as they profess to do, left some messes behind; ie outdoor furniture was sprayed with debris and they did not clean up...and did not respond back...I felt pressured when I was trying to pay with credit card and keep my PIN number confidential and winded up giving them a tip for ~$400!!! Definitely did not earn that! Verrry disappointed!

We used Shack Shine to do all of our interior windows last summer and they were professional, responded quickly for a quote, and did a great job while here. Will probably hire again soon.

Shack Shine cleaned and prepped our building ready for painting this summer. The service was very professional, price was right and the result was spectacular. Additionally, the guys bent over backwards to fix an unforeseen issue once it was discovered. Nothing but good things to say here as it perceivably could have been left as our problem, but Shack Shine really stepped up to make things right.

A+ service from an amazingly professional Company... would use them again in a heartbeat.

Do not recommend- had to have somebody else fix downspouts after they came, even when I called them back to repair. Knocked over BBQ, broke plant pots and did not acknowledge damage.

The gutter cleaning service was very "quick" - 30 minutes between the voicemail announcing their arrival and the email with the invoice, for 2 guys, 1 ladder for a 3,000 sq ft house plus garage?! No surprise they "missed" two gutters around the back deck that I had specifically mentioned to the dispatcher, one of which is low and we can see into it, so our babysitter called them back from their truck to finish that one. When my husband got home he (being the only one tall enough) reached into the upper back deck gutter and pulled out a fistful of leaves, so we emailed and complained. The voicemail response I got was great, the manager would come by and take a look and send photos for our peace of mind! We never saw a manager, just the same two guys who did the shitty job the first time, and no photos either, and when asked about this the response I got from the manager was first "you didn't ask for photos", then when I provided the transcriptos his own voicemail offering the photos as well as his presence, his response was "I was in the van, I didn't personally go around and check the gutters with them as I trust them to be honest". Really, a customer says your workers did a rush job in 30 minutes and knows they missed an area, but you can't be bothered to climb a ladder to see what kind of a job they're actually doing? Only use this company if you're going to be home watching them while they work!
