Walt from Walt's Adventures reporting from Walnut Creek, California from an eatery called the Shake Shack.
This corner restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and self order Kiosks for convenience. However, the outdoor space did not include heating nor shade covers during our visitation.
We embraced the outside ambiance after quickly ordering and then, not too long after, had our meal delivered to our table.
The chicken sandwich, burger and nuggets all met our taste expectations. The strawberry shake, not pictured, was very good.
Even though this was the case, the nuggets seemed small in size, the fries were good but easily forgotten, and the overall meal seemed to have been unequaled to the price.
It is always wise to try new adventures for you never know what your outcome will be. If you want good shakes then, by all means, travel to Walnut Cheek.

Hi Shake Shack, if you were selling your Kitchen and Food expediters having a good time then you are the best. I got a text 10 mins ago that my food was ready and they are all too busy chatting with the kitchen staff. I was however entertained by the profanity from the staff behind the counter.

      Good Looking out!

This was around 7:53 PM on Sunday August 26.

Although I didn't have much to critique about the shakes (Peaches and Cream Shake really good, Strawberry Frosted Donut Shake okay), the burger was the saddest thing about my dinner today. I drove to Walnut Creek to pick up my food, and when I went inside, I expected a really busy atmosphere, but it was kind of dead. I did see a new restaurant called Handels across the street, and it looked a lot nicer than what I experienced inside. Maybe that's why this place looked dead last night.

When I picked up my food, the employee at the counter asked me if I had an order ready. I told her my name, and I said "thank you" when she pushed the food across the counter to me and didn't say anything else. Just stared at me. I went home to take a closer look at the burger. It honestly was the size of one of those McChicken or McDouble burgers you can get for $3-4 (still way too much) at McDonald's. I got a really sad amount for a Carolina BBQ Burger priced at $10.29. Sad for both me and the burger.

I think I'm gonna try Handel's next time. Not Shake Shack. Overpriced for a shrunken burger that was out on the counter for a while...

I went to the Walnut Creek Shake Shack yesterday. Spent 24.00 + 2.26 in 10% tip. to do my own order, pick up my own food, and bus my own tray. I was told to sit down and they would bring my order. When my order was ready...they called my number and told me to pick up my order. But they delivered to some people...not me. Maybe it had to do with the measley 10% tip that I'm forced to pay before I checkout or...maybe because....

The avocado hamburger was tasty. But the 5.00 fries were cold and lifeless and the 7.00 orangesicle is trash. Worst 26.00 spent on a hamburger and fries. Also...Some of the workers there were jerks too.

Came to try this place out before seeing a movie nearby. Wasn't too crowded for a Wednesday night dinner. Easy ordering at one of the multiple self serve kiosks. We ordered three Shake Shack burgers, one a double, three fries, and fountain sodas. We took a number placard and waited. Food took longer than we expected. This is not a fast food type place. A server brought our food out on a tray. Burgers were "smash-type" and fries were crinkle style. Burgers were a bit small but I could have ordered a double. Fries were hot. Decent burger and fries, but there are other options in the area. Good enough if you're in the area.

The Avocado Bacon Burger was quick to arrive and absolutely delicious. Paired with a Chocolate Salted Caramel Shake, it made for a satisfying meal. The spacious dining area, including the second floor, provided ample seating options.

Located on the corner of Locust & My Diablo.
      Paid parking behind business.
Convenient Self ordering kiosks. Text when your order is ready.
Food was good except seems to have gotten smaller proportion size as with everything now a days. Paid about $25 with tip for 1 cheese burger, 1 fries, nuggets & 1 soda for 2 people.

Shake Shack is definitely the representative burger chain of the East Coast. They have several locations in the Bay Area, but none are convenient to me. When this location in Walnut Creek opened up, I was really excited because I finally got a chance to try them out without the long drive.

My friend and I met here for lunch on 05/09/2023. Upon entering at noon, I was surprised by how quiet it was. There were only three or four people eating. The interior was very clean and bright. The dining area spanned over two floors, as well as several tables outside.

Ordering was done at a user-friendly tablet kiosk. We ordered a Double ShackBurger with bacon and avocado added, a 'Shroom Burger, 6-count Chicken Bites, an order of fries, and a Black and White shake. The total was about $40.

We got out food pretty quickly. Overall, I thought it was just okay. The Double ShackBurger was slightly larger than a Double-Double at In N Out. The burger patties were made with quality beef, but seasoning was lacking. The bun was too soft and not spongy. The chicken nuggets had a nice crunchy coating, but the meat had a somewhat strange mushy texture. The fries were fresh but very ordinary. The shake was the best part of the meal. It was decently thick and creamy.

This was the second or third time my friend had eaten here. She said her 'Shroom Burger was just okay.

I am glad I finally got a chance to try Shake Shack. In a straight up East Coast vs West Coast comparison, I think In N Out is better, both in terms of quality and value. 3 stars.

      BONUS MATERIAL:

      - Street and garage parking nearby.
      - They accept online orders.

One weekend my son and I looked at each other and just said "We need Shake Shack." We wanted to come down and try the new location.

I'm a big fan of Shake Shack burgers. I like them better than In N' Out. We ordered two double shack burgers and one bourbon burger. This location doesn't have chicken sandwiches. I wanted to order a smorgasbord of sandwiches to try. My husband has never had Shake Shack. I wanted to give him the full experience. Sadly we didn't get to have the chicken sandwiches.

We ordered in store and took it to go. It was busy. Ordering on the computers was fine. But pick up and timing for orders being ready was confusing. I got the text that my order was ready and to come to the counter. I go to the counter and no, it wasn't ready.

Parking is not great. We had to park down the street in a garage. I will say that the location itself is bad. It will be the main reason why we don't really want to come here often.

That being said, I will not pass up the opportunity to get a burger. Hopefully they get some chicken sandwiches soon too.
