This auto wash is located very close to me so that's obviously a plus. They offer a variety of services including tokens for self serve vacuum.
With that being said the quality of work is not as good as it was in the very beginning. There are water spots everywhere after the wash and under the car there is still lots of marks:Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tynan M.Fairview, Vancouver, Canada022May 31, 2024

Do not, I repeat do not go to Shine Auto Wash to clean your vehicle. Absolutely the worst cleaning and customer service experience ever!
After having washed I noticed nothing was cleaned on my tonneau cover. When I spoke with the manager he told me that the dirt buildup was too much for their machines to clean.
I requested for my reimbursement or for a wash token to get it cleaned further, he declined and told me I'd have to have it completely detailed to remove.
- keep in mind to that I removed it with a wet bath towel in water in less than one minute.

Terrible customer service.
I come here almost every week to have my jeep washed and the machine always does a great job including rinsing and drying.
Today I noticed right after going through there was still soap all over the jeep, mainly the front and back and no part of the jeep was dried, It literally looked like it just went through a rainstorm.
Obviously their machine had an issue, but after speaking with the manager, not only did he blow me off, he said the problem was the way my jeep was designed doesn't let the machine work properly (I pointed out to him I get it washed regularly and this is the first time this has happened) what a joke. He wouldn't offer me neither a refund nor a rinse/dry credit. I wont be spending $23 here ever againHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John M.Richmond Hill, Canada01Jul 4, 2024
i had a terrible experience with this place. The employee running the wash was yelling and combative. Jacob, the manager, supports and nurtures this behaviour. I feel sorry for anyone that encounters a negative experience at this place. nothing will be done about it, and in fact, you will be blamed for anything that goes wrong. Ill be bringing my car to a place that respects other human beings. Disgusting behaviour!

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars. Make sure that your vehicle is clean before going for a car wash. I was denied entry because my car was too dirty with some cherry blossoms. The guy said it is their "policy" which he just made up on the spot. No cherry blossom policy is stated anywhere. He refused to help. When asked what is the solution, he said vacuum them off. I went to Century Car Wash at 33 East 2nd Ave and they did an AMAZING job. I'll pay more to a local business than a corporation.

DO NOT GO HERE! Over $600 of damage to my car and they REFUSE all responsibility!
I have a newer model 2020 car with no accidents and a lower rear panel was blown off and destroyed in the car wash. We reviewed both video evidence from Shine and from my own home showing no damage or loose panels entering the car wash. Despite this, they say it's impossible to damage the car even though this is NOT a "touchless" car wash. Clearly the carwash loosened the panel before it being ripped off but they say it's so rare that this is not possible and they refuse to take any responsibility. I even tried to be reasonable and offered 50/50 split on cost as I don't think it's fair that I have to pay the entire bill. They continue to deny deny deny. Absolutely horrible way to run a business.
You have been warned, ANY damage to your car from Shine (big or small) and they will deny all responsibility even if your car is in pristine condition going into the wash. Look at other reviews who have the same issue, they never take responsibility.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ron S.Fairview, Vancouver, Canada085Jan 22, 2023
Shine Auto Wash @ Terminal Ave
Below see my email to them explaining my complaint to the car wash manager. They have ignored it completely without any reply. Apparently, if you see their reviews this Car Wash appears notorious about many complaints and not acknowledging any responsibility.
Those that have had damages to their vehicles before should GET TOGETHER to act to launch serious investigations by authorities. We have consumer rights.
Please feel free to review and I am reachable at the details provided below.

Damage to my back wind screen wiper @ Shine Auto Wash Terminal
Email to car wash manager (meynard@storguard.ca)
To the Car wash Manager
I have been using your car wash facility since day one of your operation.
I was at your car wash again today at 2.51pm.
As usual I purchased a Silver wash package. At the waiting station, I requested your attendant to ensure the back wind screen wiper was tapped down to the wind screen to give it additional secure support when going through the car wash. A blue tape has always been used with my past years usage at the car wash when entering the washing system.
Now there's a reason for this. Some years ago, I had a similar incident at your car wash BUT only discovered the damage only when I returned home. On my next visit I reported to your service attendants who recommended that they tape down the wiper with the blue tape rather than use the plastic sleeve. Their recommendation was that it would be more secure. Since then, I have always ensured that such blue tape was used and without any issue until today.
After the car wash, i parked by the empty space within the storage grounds to remove the tape and realized that the wind screen wiper was once again torn off the wind screen ( see the photo).image0.jpegimage1.jpeg
I then immediately notified the young Indo Canadian attendant who came by to verify and acknowledged the damage. He directed me to the office to report the damage and that they will resolve it.
I was at your office and was attended by MIke at the reception. Mike came out to see the damage and took a photograph of the broken wind screen wiper torn off.
Mike then called the car wash manager (you) to report the issue.
You apparently asked if I requested the blue tape or otherwise. I confirm that I did and shared my previous experience with MIke who also reported to you.
Mike was informed by the car wash manager on his cell phone (you) that because I had requested the blue tape and no plastic sleeve was used - the CAR WASH IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for the damage.
I insisted on getting the full name of the car wash manager ( which Mike did not want to provide) but gave me an email address and said that the car wash manager was presently in the Philippines .
Let me state this :
1. I will proceed with legal recourse if the car wash management refuse to accept responsibility for the damage to the wind screen wiper caused by your car washing machines.
2. I will also report this to the Global Consumer News media for them to review and action.
3. I will also report this to BBB for their action.
4. I will ensure that ALL the social media networks in BC be given this report.
I look forward to your professionalism in bearing responsibilities to issues arising from the car wash facility. I hope for a reasonable resolve failing which if I do not get a response from you within 48 hours ,I have no options but to proceed as stated.
It cost me about $250/300 to replace the first set of wind screen wiper damaged by the car wash.
Cheers

I purchased a brand new vehicle recently and took it to Shine Auto Wash on Terminal this afternoon. There was no damages going into the wash immediately coming out I noticed my windshield was damaged on the drivers side during the car wash. I went to the office to inform the manger and he was extremely rude, dismissive and in denial. He said it's impossible for the car wash to crack a windshield and had every excuse in the book yet if it happened to mine it's clearly not impossible. He said it would take a week to review the camera footage and get back to me. I would not recommend taking your vehicle here.

This review is written with the following considerations:
- I knew ahead of time that this was an automated car wash, knowing that machines will use materials and force that will never be as gentle as a human washing the car by hand (and without pressure sprayers).
- I came only because my boss (a two year old who looks like me) asked for it since he loves going through automated car washes that he can watch from his car seat :)
- We drove a used, white, Mercedes B200 (with non-foldable mirrors), that was medium-dirty upfront and lightly-dirty in the back.
With that in mind, I found the experience to be not perfect but quite alright:
- Two drive-thru terminals are available, so wait times aren't long.
- Touchscreen ordering was intuitive and you can quickly tap your credit card for payment. (They also appear to offer subscriptions with RFID tags.)
- Four levels of wash are available; all prices include tax.
- We chose the top Platinum wash for $19 only because it presumably had the most stuff for baby to see go onto the car :)
- A single attendant guides you onto the conveyor belt (note: there was not any brushing or washing of your car by that attendant, unlike many places in the US).
- The process was relatively quick and easy!
So it wasn't perfect in that the heavy brake dust on the wheels upfront were only mostly cleaned off. The sprayers and dryers seemed (much?) stronger force-wise compared to the ones in Hawaii we've used, but the aforementioned side mirrors stayed on and I could not find any scratches.
Ultimately, as a parent of a toddler with little free time to write Yelp reviews let alone wash the car, Shine provided a much-needed service conveniently without breaking the bank!Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Bradley H.Earl Grey, Winnipeg, Canada0222Dec 8, 2023
