Still a hidden gem of a place for Thai food. Located in a small plaza near the Mercedes dealership on Gellert, with lots of parking. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday evening--on my past visits, the place has been relatively empty for dine-in. The service was fast & the staff was attentive.

I recommended the chubby chicken and the Thai basil pork. For our small group, we also ordered the papaya salad, the heat was milder than I anticipated. It had great flavor, pieces of dried shrimp & plenty of peanuts--it was just a tad salty for me. The pineapple fried seemed to be lacking, there was enough chicken, I thought it was a little bland. My favorites are still the chubby chicken & the Thai basil pork.

Nonetheless, I still enjoyed our meal and we ordered just enough; we managed to eat everything--no leftovers to take home.

Our meal was delicious and I would definitely return.

Above Average Thai Cuisine Experience with Efficient Service

I visited Shine Thai Cuisine in Daly City on a Sunday night around 6 pm. Surprisingly, there were only a few patrons inside, so finding seats was a breeze. The pricing here is below average, which is always a pleasant surprise. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, spicy basil beef, and the crab ball dinner, totaling around $50.

While the Pad Thai lacked a bit in ingredients, the flavors were still enjoyable. The spicy basil beef, however, was a standout dish, impressively seasoned and cooked to perfection. It left us eager to explore more of their menu on future visits.

Kudos to the efficient and fast staff. Our pick-up order was ready in just 25 minutes, ensuring a smooth dining experience. Looking forward to returning and trying out more of their offerings!

We ordered Tom Yam and noodles for two and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of soup--it was a big serving, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I wasn't a fan of the room's design, and the dishes lacked the expected spiciness, with the soup being a bit too sour for my taste. That said, the prices are reasonable for what you get. I might return for a lazy lunch when I don't feel like cooking or spending too much elsewhere.

First time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered basil chicken, pad see ew (chicken and shrimp), eggplant basil, and salmon.

They were tasty and delicious! And I will order again for sure while I'm still in the area.

I'm giving 3 stars because the staff didn't include napkins! I didn't check the bag since it was tightly sealed but it's safe to assume that restaurants automatically include napkins in every to-go order (I did mark on the app to add chopsticks, but they don't have an option to add napkins! Very disappointing). My total was $92.68 so I assumed napkins were supposed to be in the bag. Tip was in cash.

The Pad Thai noodles have good flavor and texture. The shrimp were overcooked tho. I give it a 3.8/5

Thai food that isn't fusion served at a place that isn't all fancy? Count me in. The chicken pad see ew was more than enough for myself and I could've easily shared it with one other person. I only wish the breading on the fried calamari was a little more crunchy.

I came here for a Thai fix for dinner. It was a nice place with a casual ambiance and neat interior. The service was friendly and to the point. I had a Thai iced tea and it was as expected. The soup was a little more sour than expected which I had to take home rather than finish at the table. The Pra ram was lacking something but the pad Thai served its purpose. I'm not sure if I'll return here.

I am 50/50 on this place. The Pad See Ew, Crispy Chicken, and Thai Iced Tea were to die for. Truly delicious and cook to perfection. Very pleased with the crunch on the kitchen and the sauce on the flat noodles. I would come back just for those dishes.

Unfortunately the Pad Thai & green curry may have been some of the worst Thai dishes I've ever had. I love both of those meals but here the pad Thai tasted like kitchen almost and the green curry was so watery it didn't have that nice creamy consistency I am looking for.

The ambiance is standard. Lots of tables available. There is one single bathroom. Lots of people are picking up to go. The price is extremely affordable compared to Sf Thai food and we had so many leftovers which is always a plus.

I've ordered for delivery from Shine Thai a couple of times and I'd say it's generally been a good experience. The pad kee mao wasn't the best, the noodles were rather gummy and not too flavorful, but the papaya salad was much better. It had a good amount of lime juice/liquid content and they packaged the takeout container in two plastic bags which really helped prevent mess while in transit. A good portion for a reasonable price and it had a good amount of spice to it, the papaya salad I would definitely order again.
