This comment is a total misrepresentation of the true facts:
1. We prepared the tax returns exactly as it was prepared the previous year and with the information the customer provided, therefore, any mistakes by the type of return was created because it was done incorrectly in the past and because the customer’s information was misleading or inaccurate.

2. Each year the CA FT charges a minimum tax of $800, if he had a $1,600 bill, its because, he failed to pay one, in addition, if a return was filed incorrectly, then one of the charges of $800 could be reversed with the proper correspondence with the CA FTB. He does not mention this fact, as it was not our work that caused him a tax, it’s the government’s law.

3. In negotiating our fee, we offered to match this customer’s previous accountant’s fee, which he represented as $350; however, when we began the work, we discovered he actually paid $950, based on the previous accountant’s invoice. We addressed this with this customer who became agitated.

4. He provided us his spreadsheet for expenses, which he created, as a result of errors he made with his formulas on two different lines the total expenses were adding numbers twice. Our engagement did not include providing any accounting work as we based our fee to prepare his return on a condition he provide the numbers and accounting. When I charged additional to go back and revise his numbers because we completed his work and there was no way for us to identify his Excel formulas were double counting numbers, he became irate and unusually emotional and explosive.

5. He also insisted we use the $950 on his previous tax preparer’s invoice despite representing he actually paid $350. This is clearly and obviously a fraud on either us because he paid $950, or a fraud on the Government for over reporting what he deducted for his expenses for tax preparation in the previous year.

6. He states, “he was not even the one who worked on my file,” again his statement is unsupported and a foolish comments, as not only did I work on it, I had a two hour call with him on a Sunday because he was highly angry about my assistant, and endlessly criticized them.

I have been an accountant since Oct 1985, that makes my experience over 39 years, furthermore, I am a CPA, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Jurisdiction Doctor, and former IRS agent in the SBSE division of the Internal Revenue Service.

In our initial experiences working with this individual, I realized he was going to be a problem and that he was gaming my company.

I too have all the proof, which includes the invoice he paid his previous tax preparer, the original Excel worksheet including a copy of the cell showing the error in the formula, and the additional time I worked on his tax returns, and subsequent changes to his tax returns because he provided bad accounting numbers because of his mistake and failure to compile the Excel worksheet correctly.

His intentional misrepresentations of the facts made publicly are defamatory and are an intentional attack on me and my company.
