When Moveable Feast in Menlo Park started back up again after the pandemic, I went there every once in a while if I got off early from work and I made it a point to try a different food truck every time I went. I have to admit that although some were good, there wasn't any particular one that really stood for me. So when I gave this place a try, I didn't have my hopes too high despite the above average rating for this place.

I do like noodles but I wouldn't say that I am crazy about them. I usually only have noodles when the weather is cold or I am slightly under-the weather. I got both the red dragon and dan-dan noodles. WOW! These noodles were probably some of the best noodles that I have had in the Bay Area, no joke. They were both incredibly tasty and full of amazing flavor. I do have to mention that I am normally a bit weary when a food truck tries to represent a multitude of countries (they have noodles that are Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese-inspired), because I don't feel like they can do justice to each country but they did an amazing job.

Like I mentioned, I don't always have a craving for noodles, but the next time I do, this place will be the one to visit. Amazing quality of noodles, flavors, and ingredients!

A food truck that occasionally stops by Levi's Plaza for lunch in SF. I've tried their Dan Dan Noodles, Red Dragon, and Udon Noodles. All the portions are very fair for the price. I always leave feeling satisfied and not overly full.

Dan Dan Noodles 3/5: The non-soupy kind of Dan Dan noodles. The amount of chili oil they use is too strong for my taste

Red Dragon 2/5: Same problem as the Dan Dan noodles, the chili oil is too strong and it complimented this one worse

Udon Noodles 5/5: Amazing pork belly. A generous portion of pork and they char the skin as well so there's a bit of crisp to it. The udon noodles and sauce they use are also good. The worst part about this dish is when you finish all the pork and wish you had more.

Somewhere between ok and good, leaning toward good.
      Quick service.

      Got the udon noodles:
For $15 - def another slice of pork belly needed! great crust and tasty fat, but got a slice that had been exposed for a bit so it was on the dry side. that was just 1 slice. photos show amount and thickness.
Noodles cooked perfectly. Came out hot in the box.
Sauce of noodles was subtle and only a half teaspoon at the bottom of the container. A bit more here or maybe a packet of shoyu or two.
Greens on top gave it a nice balance.

I would have preferred sticks, but a fork can do.

Total weight of clam shell around 1lb.
If you're a big eater add the gyoza.
Otherwise I ate the meat and left half the noodles. The other half are for a light meal tomorrow.

I would certainly try dan dan next time and then decide a winner. If the mood hit me, I would buy from this truck again.

Got to try this out at Off the Grid @ Levi's Plaza during lunch and it did not disappoint! I'm a spice girl, even though I may not always handle it well, so I ordered the Red Dragon.

It comes with thick wavy wheat noodles tossed in chili oil and beef braise and topped with chilled beef shank, cucumber, cilantro, green onions, and sesame. My order was ready within 10 minutes! First thing I noticed when I got my order was that the portions were actually pretty big and the noodles were packed in there. For taste, I'm rating this 4/5 as I was expecting there to be more heat. The beef shank had so much flavor and really elevated the dish. The noodles had a great texture and was evenly coated in the chili oil, but again, I just wished it was a little spicier.

I'd definitely come back again to try some more items like the Garlic Noodles and the Dan Dan noodles. Would recommend if you happen to spot their truck!

Okay, let's be honest - the concept of an Asian-centric food truck isn't all that unique, but it's especially true in the Bay Area. Whether they offer Asian-fusion tacos and burritos, more traditional fare, or something "Asian inspired", you don't have to look hard to find one. However, despite how many of those trucks there are out there, very few of them put out food as good as Sip-N-Slurp's!

Now, compared to their aforementioned competitors, Sip N Slurp's menu falls in the middle of the road - far more interesting than a bunch of trucks out there, but not exactly unique or innovative either. Which, in this case, works perfectly fine. Rather than try to catch people's attention with a bunch of bells and whistles or gimmicks, they go with the tried and true formula of just offering delicious looking food! On any given day, they may "only" have to offer one or two starters and a handful of noodle options, but everything that I've tried has been really, really good.

-- CHICKEN KARAAGE - Marinated Chicken Bites Topped with Soy Mayo and Shaved Bonito...$8
      (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sipnslurp-food-truck-san-francisco-2?select=5ViFmv5FKttctoxNoRVFiw)
At a glance, this didn't look super impressive (the pieces seemed small), but the taste of this was pretty solid. Despite their size, the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. I do wish the breading was a little more crisp, but the bonito flakes on top added a nice finish.

-- UDON NOODLES - Udon Noodles Tossed in Special Soy Sauce and Garlic Oil Topped with Seared Pork Belly, Fresh Cucumber, Scallions, and Spicy Furikake...$12
      (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=kuQStNEwpgNFzzCZDjnfTA&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)
This is probably their most "basic" dish on the menu, but it was no less delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly (soft with a slight bite) and the pork belly, which was really tender, was cut surprisingly thick.

-- GYOZA - Kobe Style Pork and Cabbage Fried Dumplings...$6
      (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sipnslurp-food-truck-san-francisco-2?select=einy_3N2ZfJNcdXsjKfkOw)
This was the most underwhelming thing I've had here, but it's not like I expected it to be amazing either. The skins were pretty hard along the seam and the filling was kind of generic. At the same time, it's not like this was awful, just kind of generic.

-- MY NAME IS DAN, DAN DAN - Ramen Noodles Topped with Spicy Szechuan Style Ground Pork, Fresh Cucumbers, Scallions, Cilantro, Sesame, Corn, and Housemade Chili Oil...$12
      (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Kyqmv2IMFtmR_bYWs7_xrw&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)
By far, this is my favorite thing here. I ordered mine without cilantro (of course) and everything about this was perfect - the noodles were cooked just right, there was a generous amount of pork and scallions, and I loved the slight kick from the oil (wish there was more of it, though).

-- GARLIC MY NOODLES - Ramen Noodles Tossed in Special Garlic Sauce Topped with Tempura Shrimp Dressed in Sweet Soy, Fried Shallots, and Green Onions...#12
      (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_hztjMScEvgHkniJntFQvw&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)
While the Dan Dan noodles rank at the top of the list, this one isn't far behind. It's a bit simple by comparison, but it was great - the noodles had a nice garlicky flavor (though I could always use more) and the tempura was still crispy despite the soy. Plus, it comes with four pieces!

Given the grab-and-go nature of food trucks, there's usually not much to add in the way of service. However, the girl who usually works the window to take orders is awesome - very friendly and patient (one of my coworkers had question on a couple of things). What's more, the staff here moves quick! Sure, there's not a ton of cooking involved, especially since there's some overlapping ingredients, but I still appreciate how they get you on your way so quickly!

Since I've previously proclaimed a couple of other food trucks as my "favorites" in past reviews, I'm hesitant to do it again, despite how much I like Sip N Slurp. At the same, I have zero qualms saying that if I saw Sip N Slurp posted up with a bunch of other trucks at an OTG event (or anywhere else), I wouldn't hesitate to come back for more! Assuming this pandemic ever ends (JUST WEAR MASKS, PEOPLE!).

@sfo today, my colleagues and I had an opportunity to go and check out @offthegridsf and came across this food truck "Sip Ń Slurp". It is an Asian fusion type of food and the options on their menu looked so mouth watering. The prices were just right for its quality. The truck looks so fresh and clean and they were so prompt in taking our orders although we utilized ordering from the OTG app. We settled to order their "my garlic noodles w/shrimp and Chicken Karaage". We didn't wait very long for our food and once they called our names we got extremely excited to try it. Our food were well prepared and freshly made since it was still very hot to the touch. When we finally got to seat down and indulge ourselves it tastes really really good! We were happy, content and satisfied. We will definitely hit them up again when they return to off the grid @sfo.

OMG I just ordered the tempura garlic noodles and it was goood! It wasn't too salty and I did not find it bland. It was just right. For the price you pay you also get 4 pcs of tempura. Not bad. It tastes a lot better than An the Go (sacrareligious to say that but I am).

Service was friendly and fast. Food was hot. Seriously good.

Ordered the laksa-mazing. The curry flavor was really nice. I didnt really like the type of rice noodle they used. It's not your tradition long rice noodles,
Theyre shorter and just wasnt what i expected. I felt like portion size couldve been a bit bigger too.
