Sivan Windows and Doors - San Diego

I recently had all my windows installed by Sivan Doors and Windows, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The owner, Oded, and the sales representative, Max, were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They worked with me patiently to make the necessary modifications and presented me with all my options. They offered a highly competitive price for the best quality materials, which I greatly appreciated.

The installation has been completed, and the windows look fantastic. I'm very impressed with the company's leadership and the communication with Max. I strongly recommend Sivan Doors and Windows to anyone interested in installing new windows. If you get a quote from them, you'll see the difference in quality and service just like I did.

Buyer beware. Product from manufacturer is great but installation was not done properly. There's a reason why they collect 90% payment BEFORE installation when industry standard is to only collect 50% payment until installation is complete.

Project was to install 4 exterior Therma Tru fiberglass doors. Installation was incomplete and did not meet basic steps outlined in the manufacturer's instruction manual.

Step 2 of installation manual:
Provide a flat, level, clean weight bearing surface so the sill pan or sill can be properly caulked and sealed to the opening.

- 1 door was installed on rotted wood at the bottom, rather than the wood being replaced with properly treated wood
- 2 doors were installed on wood from the shipping crate, which is obviously not a weight bearing surface appropriate for an exterior door
- 4 doors did not have a surface underneath the entirety of the sill pan / sill, so all 4 sills were not properly caulked and sealed to the opening
- All 2 doors were not level with floors -- their manager tried to tell me that they shouldn't have to do this with new construction installation. Hm.

Ayala the manager tried to insist that the above was done correctly. This means they either do not want to ensure they install properly or they don't know how to install properly. I personally believe that they know what they did was wrong but are trying to get away with not doing it correctly.

I really wish I had a better experience with the final installation as I've found everyone else at Sivan to be reasonable / caring:
- Leona helped ensure that my doors were still delivered and installed quickly despite manufacturer delays
- Max helped guide me through my options and was patient with me through multiple changes

However, ultimately what matters is the installed product. They really deserve zero stars for incomplete installation AND gaslighting me to try to convince me the above is the right way to do things.

I wanted to give a review for Sivan Windows and Doors. I recently had 36 windows installed in Carlsbad CA. The vinyl windows are a huge improvement and I am greatly appreciative to the entire Sivan crew who installed them. A special thanks goes out to my sales contact Max Perez as he made the sales process easy and extremely competitive. I had several bids and ultimately went with Sivan. Their quality of workmanship and follow through was amazing. Lastly a special thank you to Leona Parsons. Her follow through is amazing and Sivan is lucky to have such a quality team member. We needed to have the original 1960's single pane aluminum sliders replaced around our house and are greatly impressed with the end results. Their quote was one of the best we received for the specific window series we were looking for. The entire process was smooth, and they kept us in the loop when the recent weather was impacting our installation. Our new windows look amazing!

Unfortunately, my experience was not good. Oded is very difficult to deal with and do not believe him when he says he knows the window installation process. He is clueless!

The only person in this company that is worth mentioning is Leona.

Oded was trying to talk me into not having the exterior of the windows caulked because my windows were on a 3rd and 4th story. He tried to sell me on the idea that they can place all 6 of my windows from the inside and put enough caulking that it will be sufficient to withstand the weather from the outside. But if they did the window installation like that, it would void the installation 1 year warranty. I demanded that they do the installation correctly. Oded said I would have to provide the scaffolding ($3000 thats how much it would cost for the type he suggested). I asked for a boom lift and he said that I need to order the boom lift. I had no clue what type of boom lift to order. Their installers are not even certified to operate one.

At the end, I asked that Oded never contact me again and I just dealt with headquarters in LA and Leona locally. After all of that push back from ODED, they finally ordered the boom lift($900 that I had to pay) and placed the windows and caulked them correctly. This company contracts all their work to other companies to install the windows. Two seperate installation companies showed up at my house. The first laughed when I told him Oded said he could install all the windows from the inside. The second window installation company was good and completed the job, correctly.

If Oded is trying to save you money by skimping out of caulking the outside of the window. Demand that the company install the windows correctly. This company should purchase a boom lift. and always install every window with caulking on the outside. I am so glad that I stood my ground, because two weeks later all of this rain hit San Diego.

The windows are nice though. I am sure I will enjoy the ocean breezes during the summertime.

I had a very good experience with Oded, Leona and the team. From start to finish it was top notch. I had all windows and doors in my home replaced and the process was easy. Oded came out and answered all questions and gave advise on what would work best for each window. Leona was a great contact to have for the day to day process, questions and answers. I also needed a slider changed to a window and window changed to a slider. They did an amazing job. They do not do the drywall or stucco work but do frame and get it ready for drywall and stucco. I absolutely love my new windows and doors. What a huge upgrade for my home. Lifetime warranty from Milgard, so I never have to worry about replacing windows again.

Super happy that we decided to go with Sivan Windows! Oded in Sales was easy going and accommodating on appointment times; he worked hard to get us a great deal and also had great follow-up. Leona in the office was very nice, always took our call or text messages and did a great job of keeping us informed of progress.

The product we chose (Premium Window) was of good quality and we like the features it had, including much faster delivery times. The only issue we had was a little hiccup on the start dates but that wasn't due to them but the delivery not arriving on time.

The only improvement I could think of is informing the buyer of the amount of noise window replacement makes. It's a VERY loud process and unfortunately did not go over well with the surrounding neighbors. If I had known how loud it was going to be, I could have warned everyone or arranged a different day (we installed on a Sunday). Not their fault, but perhaps a good takeaway for future buyers.

All in all you cannot go wrong with Sivan! Thank you Sivan team!
