Delicious, thick, and tasty pizza! Our group shared the large whole Detroit vs Everybody pizza which comes with 6 massive slices. The crust was so thick and chewy, with spicy pepperonis and buttery dollops of cheese.

Just to keep in mind--ordering a whole pizza means they have to make a new one so the wait time was about 30 minutes, so we used this time to walk around San Pedro Square and check out all the indoor eateries.

      Parking:
We parked across the street on the side, but there's also parking garages in San Pedro Square that work. Worker was super nice and gave us free ranch!!

For $45, this is definitely a pricey pizza but worth the purchase for a late night occasion!

(DTSJ) Food: Detroit vs. Everybody (9.5/10)- Grain Craft flour, SOH Four-Cheese House Blend, Genoa salami, roasted mushroom, bacon, fresh-pinched Fontanini sausage, Rosa Grande pepperoni. Finished with Stanislaus vine-ripe tomato sauce, whipped Ricotta con Latte, TRULY 100% garlic-infused EVOO, basil chiffonade, and freshly grated Grana Padano DOP.

A whole lot of flavor as seen above. I normally don't like thick crust but SOH does a great job in combination with the ingredients. Definitely needs a thick base to hold all the ingredients. You can get 1 free ranch dressing but it has so much flavor that you don't need anything else. Every bite is just as good as the next

Setting: small setting. Does have indoor/outdoor sitting. On a great note it's partnered with the bar next door "social" which actually serves the same pizza and you can eat there too since SOH closes earlier

Service: great service. Server was supper nice till closing

Price: we got the mini $35 for 4 slices vs $10 for 1 slice. A bit pricy but definitely worth it and will come back

      * detroit v. everybody - this pizza is one of the best gourmet pizzas we ever had! There was a lot going on in our mouths when we were eating it. The dough was fluffy yet crispy on the bottom and the sides. You would think that it would be soggy due to all the sauces and toppings that were on the pizza but it was still able to hold that nice crunch. If there were onions on the dish, it would've added a nice spiciness.
We got the mini size thinking we can finish it all but we overestimated ourselves a. Overall, very good and filling. would try more of their other pizzas! (P.S cheese pull was insane)
      * mike's hot honey wings - the wings were well made however we think we prefer a more spicy and saltier sauce when it comes to wings. The wings itself was juicy on the inside and had a nice crispy edge. The honey wasn't too overpowering on the wings, cut gave it the slight sweet taste. It was a tad oily though. We will try the cheese bread next time!
      * honorable mention - the diet coke was CRISPY
*the staff was super friendly and patient. They provided great service!

We are definitely returning once SJSU starts once more!

The hype for this place is REAL! I work close by and my entire office raves about this place so I finally got around to trying it. They do by the slice and to be honest a slice is plenty because it is hefty and fully loaded. I got the Detroit vs Everybody and after my first bite I felt like Squidward trying a Krabby Patty for the first time, it was an EXPERIENCE! I got my slice with everything in it which was dollops of cheese, fresh grated Parmesan and basil. It looks almost too pretty to eat but do it because it's absolutely delicious. Pro tip, if you're ordering a whole pizza, order head if you're in a rush because those take a while. This is definitely a once in a while place because the pizza is so decadent and a tad pricey but 100% a must try!

Hype over hype; I've heard about SoH in so many different places, but I'll be damned if it doesn't deserve every bit of it. I've not had many detroit style pizzas, but I'm hooked! Slices are incredibly dense and crisped up in all the best ways, especially that crust.

The place itself is the perfect little takeout spot, though there's some space to munch on a slice indoors. Since parking is a bit terrible around here I was dashing in and out with an online order. No problems on the ordering front. Staff were very much on top of it with the pickup and I was done in a flash.

      Detroit vs Everyone - 5/5
Wasn't sure what to get but this was mentioned often by folks so figured it was worthwhile (spoiler: it is). That crispy crust is nothing short of heavenly, the freshness of the toppings was supreme, and cheesiness unending. Huge dollops of cheese and tomato is not something I normally get excited about but this one is solid. Was good given how dense each single slice is, serves closer to 3 people than 4 imo.

Ordered an 8 piece when I got there, wait time was 30 minutes. Unfortunately my pizza got burned and the place filled with smoke, I had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for the remake of my order. I got some change back for the inconvenience. Pizza was greasy but had flavor and was crunchy. Overall not too upset with the inconvenience but it will probably be a one time thing since I don't live in the area. Nice try if you're local.

The best pizza in San Jose? I'm not sure, but it's close. Very close.

It's not exactly the cheapest place, but man does the bread taste great and I mean great. We had it Sicilian style and it was thick and buttery and just melted in your mouth.

Overall, I was very impressed. You're paying a little extra, but overall really good.

Ordered two pizzas for pickup and despite it being a Friday night, I was easily able to find street parking nearby to pick up the pizza! The place is fairly small, but there's still a couple tables to sit at outside if you want to eat there. The service was good and they got out the pizza right at the time it was supposed to be ready!

I've never had Detroit style pizza before, so I don't have much to compare to, but these pizzas were delicious! They have a thick and crispy crust and loaded with toppings. They are very saucy, so if you aren't someone who likes sauce, I would take that into consideration. I thought they were great and 1.5 slices was enough for me to be full! I got two pizzas for 3 people and we had plenty left over.

These are great pizzas for a special occasion when you want something different and some special pizzas!

This is literally one of my favorite pizza spots.
Yes, the slices are pricey but they are worth it!
If you're not into thick crusts, give SOH a try bc their thick dough is so different, it's nice and crunchy crispy in all the right areas while still having that soft texture when biting into the slice, so yummy. Idk how to explain it lol.
      It's just bombdotcom imo.
The ingredients they use for their toppings always hit too!
The service was top tier, I ordered 4 slices and wanted to eat one there, they held my other slices in a warmer of some sort so it can be kept warm while enjoying my slice.
5/5 for service and 10/10 for the pizza! :)

Great local pizza spot in downtown San Jose! Come here for New York style or Detroit pizza.

My partner and I came here on a weekday around 4:30 PM, and it wasn't too busy. Slice of Homage pizza is next to San Pedro Social and is walkable from the San Pedro parking structure.

It's a fairly small store with a few tables for seating but my partner and I had no problem finding a table. When you walk in you are able to see the menu immediately and also see a case of pizzas that you can pick out if you are ordering by the slice.

We decided to order a 14 inch "beehive" pizza which came with spicy Italian sausage, orange honey blossom, red pepper flakes, mozzarella, salami, chili peppers, and orange zest. The total came out to be $27 and it took around 20 minutes to get our take out order.

We really enjoyed the flavors of the pizza. The dough was bouncy with a nice crisp in the bottom, the pizza itself was flavorful, spicy, and had a nice citrus after taste from the orange zest. It was really unique and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Definitely worth walking to if you're craving pizza and you're meeting up with friends at San Pedro market.
