I've been here several times solo, with family en route to the hospital, and with the boyfriend. I love their small plates, pastries, and bread, and coffee or a tea latte is a standard, and the mini croissants a MUST!
Staff are young (but not inexperienced), and the ambiance is clean and minimalist. Despite being able to see the bakers work and the visual of their (danish?) mill, there is a certain calmness at this location. It's also close to the bike route and a couple blocks from the Cambie st bridge, sea wall, and skytrain. Paid Parking is usually easy to find, but I've generally been here early on the weekends or mid week in the afternoons.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 30, 2023First to Review
Oooooohhhhh, aaaaaahhhhh ... woooooowwwww!
These are the exclamations I get from out of town visitors, whom I've taken to Small Victory Bakery.
Opening next week is the brand spanking humongous 4th location.
Been a huge fan for the last few years & I am very excited for this the largest of the four bakeries.
I just can't wait to see the inside of this huge location in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. From the outside it looks gigantic.
Not sure if this location will close early like the others but I hope it stays open late.
Check out Small Victorys other locations especially at The Amazing Brentwood Mall & if you're downtown head over to Yaletown & see where it all started.
This is definitely one of Metro Vancouvers premier elite bakeries.
There's so many hits here but I'll stick to highlighting just a few items ...
- the Salted Caramel Cheesecake
- the Lemon Cranberry Pistachio Shortbread Cookies are absolutely delightful & the best $15 I've spent for these tiny cookies
- the Passionfruit Cheesecake (Mama Mia so good!) & the coffee is decent as well.
This location will be the 'test kitchen' for launching new menu items - I look forward to trying them out.
So why not pop in & celebrate a Small Victory ... in your mouth!Helpful 15Thanks 3Love this 20Oh no 0 - Ayy B.Vancouver, Canada04Jul 28, 2024
Dry overpriced food. Burnt espresso. There are better bakeries to choose from. Service was okay, inconsistent. Ambiance is nice but they don't obviously don't want people to stay because they don't offer wifi.

i came in the morning on a weekday for latte and almond croissant.
Counter service like most coffee shops. The place was pretty busy, with only a couple open seats left. Its also not quiet, so if you need a quiet study/work space, this is NOT it.
However, the space is clean, brightly lit and modern looking, and service at the counter was friendly. Overall pretty comfortable.
Prices on the high side, but the coffee and almond croissant were excellent.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Janice W.Vancouver, Canada01May 3, 2024
The best lemon tart I have ever had!! I highly recommend getting your leotard here for your next dinner party. It's absolutely fabulous nice and tart and not too sweet.
