Wow delicious smash burger. We came to their pop up Sunday at great notion Berkeley. Plenty of seating inside. I got the signature and definitely want to come back and try a couple other varieties. Fries were also nice and crispy.

Saw these guys at Off The Grid and it smelled so good I knew I just had to get them! My boyfriend and I got their signature smash burger ($14) and curly fries ($9) and S1 sauce ($3).

Service was pretty normal considering how busy they were they churned out the orders fast! I do think it's a little too pricey for what it is. Fries for $9 and especially sauce in a tiny sauce holder for $3 is too expensive, in my opinion. Nevertheless the burger was a fantastic smash burger I'd definitely want to eat here again but would be hesitant about the price.

I ordered the Signature with a side of fries. The crunchy beef patties were decent but a tad salty. Overall the burger left much to be desired: the buns were flat; the shoestring fries were really dull and conventional; and the patties were sloppily slipping away from the soggy buns, dangling precariously on the tiny serving bowl. It made for a messy journey towards my dining table.

I think the serving was too small and it still left me hungry.

On my first foray to their Temescal pop-up, I had to leave when the wait to order a burger became a 1 hour ordeal. When I managed to catch them at Humble Sea, my hopes for an epic burger meal were dashed due to the experience and mediocrity of the food. Can do better

One of my favorite burger spots in the bay! They make one of the best smash burgers I have ever had. Their specials that they rotate in and out are amazing! My favorites are the Pho Ga burger and the Dac Biet burger! Really does taste like their original counterpart.

My only concern is their pricing can be a bit aggressive. I ordered two burgers (dac biet) and some fries and that is a $50 meal. Just my opinion but I will definitely be back. Maybe not on a regular basis at this price point but definitely once in a blue moon.

Solid joint! I would recommend friends and family to come.

Nice thin crunchy smash patty. We added another and that was really good. Liked the og burger. The tomato really helps being some moisture into the burger. Fast and friendly service. Major points for the fact that they had puppy Patties!

      It's 4/20 and I showed up at a dispensary...for smash burgers!!!

Been meaning to try Smish Smash since last year since the owners Vic and Amy are the same as Be Well Juice Co.. It took their first popup in San Leandro and not the munchies to bring me in and may be the only ones who went for burgers and not weed as it's all about food for this girl.

Limited offering for the popup, we tried both the Reggie and the Lil Marty. The Lil Marty is heartier on that sesame seed bun but those soft buns on the Reggie really won me over. Perfectly thin with that crispy edge but still juicy, Vic is the master of smash burgers.

With specials at their more consistent Alameda popups, I am eyeing that ebi burger next even if it's hard to give up the originals. But that's okay, if you overindulge, just pop over to Be Well Juice the next day like we did to balance it out.

Best smash burger in the bay by a mile. Best burger in the bay period. Probably best burger of my life. This is a must try. They do lots of pop ups, make it a mission to go try Smish Smash, any of their burgers will blow your mind. If I could give this 10 stars I would!!!

First of all - the name is so cute. Smish smash! I have been waiting to try them for over a year but due to my current location, I have not been able to make it out to Alameda (their most consistent pop up location) on the weekends. I finally did one day and I was beyond excited.

I ordered their ebi burger (fried shrimp) and their dac biet burger (I think both are limited runs) and wow I was blown away - especially the ebi burger. Keep in mind I am an ebi burger fan so if you're not a fan of shrimp then you won't be a fan of this burger.

The slaw, the slice of American cheese, the thick shrimp patty (they did not skimp on the shrimp!) was incredible. I inhaled it. It was so worth every penny and the long wait. I was so happy because it had been a long time that I felt so impressed and delighted by what I was eating. You know that feeling, right fellow yelpers??

The dac biet was also good but sorry no detailed review bc it was consumed by my partner. The idea is just pure genius. A Vietnamese inspired burger? Hell yes.

I cannot wait for my second experience at smish smash. I sincerely hope they make the ebi burger a permanent menu item (while not sacrificing portion size of the patty). Love you smish smash! Thank you for coming into our lives!!

In n' out style; boutique craftsmanship

This burger is dank AF. Two super thin crispy patties, unctuous cheesy goodness, soft brioche bun. What more can you ask for? oh yeah crispy shoe string fries.

These guys and gals know whats up. Best burger I've had in quite a while.

This is my most favorite burger place ever. Everything I've had here has been incredible.

Even the simple things like fries and ranch here are impeccable.

I've eaten everything up and down the menu and have loved it all.

My favorite meal to order is their dac biet special -- literally a burger that tastes like pho with some fries and ranch.

Go get some, don't miss out!
