      If ever you are coming in early that 9am while the office is still closed you can set an appointment online with the barcode provided. In the regular hours upon entering in the building, You can checked in on either of the 2 kiosk that is provided. Better wait for your number to be called. Take note: it's a random call of numbers. They are calling in first those people who have appointments. Overall, the service that i got is knowledgeable and answers all myquestions in a professional manner. You have to spend 1 to 2 hours though

      5/31/24 - RE - Fremont office

      They closed before 10 am today and people were waiting . they put a very small sign on the side window and not even on the front door.

      The employees at this office seem to have no customer service skills or able to answer the simple question.

      They make it extremely hard on customers and take weeks to resolve simple things that should be resolved with few minutes , it seems that they don't understand their job

      These employees would not make it in any private sector or at another city.

      The hiring manager and the supervisor should be investigated. It seems that they are hiring very incompetent people.

      Came on a Monday at 3pm for a walk-in. Waited only 20 minutes and the lady at the counter was very helpful assisting us to change our names.

      It is just impossible to get a live person to speak in this office. They just keep you waiting for a century and then hang you up. But surprisingly and fortunately they did do their job on time without causing any new trouble, at least this time for me. Since the bar for government service is extremely low, I bet SSA is already not bad.

      The worst customer service. I've talked to many different representatives and all of them have been rude. My uncle put in his retirement application May 23, 2023 and his retirement application is still under review. (It has almost been a year) my uncle also turns 65 this month. Keep calling his case manager who is never in so at this point idk what to do anymore. Lady I was speaking to also won't let me change my uncles case manager. If I could give this office 0 stars I would but sadly yelp wont let me do that. Hope nobody else has to go through the issues we're dealing with.

      I had to go in and drop off sum papers.well as usual the lines were super long.
      I waited close to 45 minutes just to get in. Mind you I got there at 9 30 I dunno
      The people probably camp out. They only let 2 people at a time. They have a
      Security guard at the door.I know they are following the social distance rule.

      If I only knew that I just could of mailed the forms out it would of save me time
      and gas. My worker insisted that I go there. I this place 3 stars as with any govt
      Place you visit if you can avoid this place do so by all means.

      Contrary to popular belief, positive reviews for government services do exist, and I'm here to prove it. My recent experience compelled me to share this exceptional review. The security guards at the facility were not only helpful but also made me feel safe in an otherwise precarious area. It was refreshing to encounter government employees who were kind, thorough, and genuinely enjoyed their work.

      Remarkably, I managed to complete my task within an hour on a Friday, without even having an appointment. However, I would still recommend scheduling one if possible, as those with appointments were given priority. Additionally, opting for an Uber ride is highly recommended due to the chaotic parking situation, which could easily add 40 minutes to your travel time.

      It's worth noting that the facility closes at 4 PM, so I advise arriving well in advance to ensure sufficient time. Despite these minor logistical considerations, my overall experience was excellent, and I encourage others to give this government service a chance.

      Went to get a replacement SS card and was refused because I have an Illinois GOVERNMENT issues ID!!! Stupid is as stupid does
