South San Francisco Dental Care

I have been seeing Dr. Choi for the past few years now and his office and his entire staff is pretty awesome. SSF Dental Care is really a one stop shop, ortho, general dentistry, etc. they have the most up-to-date technology. The entire staff is very patient, kind and do make every effort to ensure that your experience will be as relaxing as possible. For example..

There was a little miscommunication regarding my appointment. The front desk went out of their way and presented me with a personalized apology note along with a gift card. Although not necessary, it was much appreciated.

If you are shopping around for a new dentist, I would definitely recommend scheduling a consult at SSF Dental Care. You will not be disappointed :)

I was referred to South San Francisco Dental Care for pediatric dental care, and am very glad I came here! The office experience is great--they have kid-friendly movies playing on a TV in the waiting room, such as Finding Nemo or The Peanuts Movie--and the overall experience is clean and modern.

The quality of care is excellent: we are very happy with the level of care provided, and how all of our questions were answered in depth. Pro tip: try to write down questions beforehand, it helps prevent you forgetting any when you are asked on the spot. Or even afterwards, when you go, 'I should have asked XYZ, write those down for next time.'

Ample parking is available, and there is an elevator that will take you up to the 2nd floor. Note, their office is all the way at the end of the hall.

Krissy and Dr. Shah help my kids feel so comfortable that they look forward to each visit. Not because the office offers little prizes (ok maybe a little), but they truly take the time and make the effort to make my kids' experience not scary.

As a busy parent, I don't always do a stellar job with following the recommended daily oral care for my kids. Dr. Shah and Krissy never pass judgment and always reiterate it is all a learning process.

The front office team is always friendly and takes the time to explain administrative items to me.

I am so glad I found this practice and highly recommend Dr. Shah, Krissy and team if anyone needs a pediatric dentist for their young children.

I am so very lucky to have found this wonderful practice. Dr. Alexandra Choi -- or as everyone lovingly calls her, Dr. Al, is a very kind and patient dentist. She is highly engaged in my care and has worked alongside of me when I developed a severe autoimmune disorder that affected my mouth. She was happy to broaden her knowledge base about my condition so that she could provide good care. All of her staff are friendly, warm, and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice!

The best dental office I've been too! They are thorough with explaining the bill before any treatment. They even showed me a 3D model of my teeth and explained what needs to be done in order to maintain proper teeth health. Hygienist Lailanie's hands were so light when cleaning ny teeth, I didn't feel any pain. Dr. Carmela and Yolly were attentive to my needs and questions. They provided service with a Smile. They never forced me to do something and offered me the best solutions to my oral health. Kudos to Best Dentist Carmela, Best Hygienist Lailanie, and Best Dental Assistant Yolly. I will highly recommend them to my family and friends. You will never go wrong if you want to give them a try.

They won't do dental cleanings without a full X-ray and a dental exam unfortunately ("comprehensive care," understandable but what if the patient just needs a cleaning at the time and not able to afford more at the moment).

They also had me sign a consent form with services I was not interested in and did not update it for me to sign. Simply had to "x" it out. Got the feeling that they care more about charging us for "comprehensive care" rather working together to see what we can work with atm.

Other than that, clean and nice environment. Satisfied with the previous appointment with them though wasted my time this recent visit. Wish they went over it on the phone.

Friendly staff, very up to date office. Would recommend if you are looking for a dentist. Free large parking lot.

Front office check in was simple. I had a deep cleaning with Leilani. She only used numbing cream (I have a high tolerance and I took an ibuprofen) and let me ask questions. My appointment was at 1. Got started at maybe 1:20. I was out a little before 4. Leilani has a calming and pleasant bedside manner and checked in with me--she can tell if you're uncomfortable at any point. She's had patients who fell asleep and that is without the nitrous--I almost did.

Just be aware, they charge you $25 for requesting a copy of your own medical records / X-ray.

The staff across the board were very kind, patient, and helpful. They helped me schedule all the appointments I needed all within the same visit. I feel good, thanks guys!

Their staff is always friendly. The doctors are fantastic. I recommend the pediatric dentist, Dr. Erin Shah. She is so gentle with my daughter. She definitely knows how to get my daughter to cooperate with her while she works on her teeth.
