Southern California Windows & Door

I had an awesome experience with Southern Cal Windows and door from start to finish! The best part, they were cheaper than everyone's bid! I had a total of 6 windows to replace. Three of the 6 windows are large trapezoid sky lights which was 50% of the total estimate.
I was able to save a good amount since they had recommended the trapezoid windows be a single piece instead of two framed pieces. Four of my windows had to be custom so it took about 3 weeks to get them. To my surprise, the install took only a day and that's with some large wood framing being replaced on the exterior. The installers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. With how much wood work they had to do, I was surprised to see no trace of their work left behind. It's been about a week and we love our windows! It's much cooler in the house and the best part, it's super quiet.

Replaced all 7 windows and sliding door in my house. Thank you, Josh for explaining everything to me truthfully, you made my decision so much easier. Ryan, thank you for a quick response regarding the financial aspects, and Everything else that we wanted done in reference to our projects. The 2 staff that came for the installation was awesome,too quick, precise but always has the time for my questions. Good work indeed, thank you Ryan and staff.

Have a 3-section Milgard Window in our living room and it was fogging up. I called and got a few quotes and Ryan said we didn't need to replace the full window, we could replace the center glass. He came out, measured the window and gave me a quote. The best of all 4 that I got and I went with with him. He text me agreement I signed it, printed it, took a picture and text it back, he ordered the window and a week later a few of his installer put the new window in! It was that easy!

CONCLUSION: Give Ryan and Southern CA Window & Door a chance to earn your business by at least Calling Them For a QUOTE. They were the Best Price, Straight Forward, Great Communication and Did Quality Work!

We have been updating many aspects of our home, and decided to get some quotes on replacing our front and back doors. Southern California Windows & Door were the third company to come out to the house for an estimate, and the representative stood out from the others by being super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in recommending brands of doors that weren't too expensive, but still had quality and would last for a very long time after installation.

We went with SoCal Window & Door, and are glad we did! They had to special order the doors, but called to schedule as soon as they got them. The installation was seamless and easy. They got here around 10AM, and were finished by around 2PM. All the installers were friendly, and we felt comfortable with them in our home. The finished products look amazing, and we couldn't be happier. When it comes time to update our other windows, we will be calling them for sure.

I got 3 separate quotes from 3 top companies for residential window replacement. SoCal took the time to carefully measure and explain the options for entire window replacement versus just glass replacement. I went with SoCal because they had a great price and seemed very knowledgeable and straightforward with their quotes and explanation. Just got the windows installed today and am very happy with the work they did and the look and quality of the windows we had replaced. I would highly recommend them.

We had a difficult/unique front door configuration and had a lot of trouble finding someone willing to work with us on replacing the doors. Ryan was great - he gave us an accurate estimate right on the spot after looking at our front doors.
The guys who came and did the replacement were super friendly and did great work. We are thrilled with the result and can't wait to paint the house and bring it all together. I would recommend this company to any friends and family and will use them again for future projects.

We got 3 bids for fiberglass windows and SoCal was the best price by a few hundred dollars from next closest. In addition, Ryan was quick to respond to our initial request for bid and his estimator was here within a few days. Was knowledgable and friendly, answered all initial questions. Later I had a few follow-up questions about the window product ,since we have some design restrictions in our neighborhood, and Ryan always answered my questions quickly and clearly. Had to wait about 8 weeks for windows to arrive but that was same timeframe estimated by the other companies we had spoken to. Ryan scheduled the install the day after the windows arrived. Installers showed up on time, very friendly, cleaned up fully, and all done same day. Exterior was initially vinyl clad but we had thought it was going to be wood. Texted Ryan and almost instant response with an OK to change out the vinyl for wood without additional charge. Happened within the week! If we change out any other windows, we would not hesitate to use SoCal again. Nice folks, quality work, fair price, and Ryan is always a text away!

I want to thank the company for taking their time to answer all my questions. Josh was very knowledgeable with his shit. Showed up on time, very professional, and the owner was very nice to. I would of definitely use the company but I forgot I had another company work on my house before so I will be using them. I would definitely recommend this company hands down

tl,dr; if you want a decent outcome at a great price and are willing to stay on top of them to get it, it's fine. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Pros:
- ease of initial estimate; this was done quickly
- cost; easily beat any other estimate I had, by a lot. The installed product seems fine.

Cons:
- Communication: it was hard to know what was going on. Schedule slipped a few times due to manufacturing, which is fine, but it was on me to check in about timelines. I'd send a sequence of questions and tend to get three-word responses.
- I asked the guys working to keep interior doors closed so our cats wouldn't get out. I found them wide open, multiple times, even despite reminding them each time.
- During the demo process, there were some trivial things that could have been done to reduce the spread of dust. Plastic over areas would have been a reasonable expectation. But even closet doors weren't closed until I saw they were wide open and did it myself.
- The installers built a wood platform for themselves since there were steps outside of our doors. This is fine, of course, and made sense. But it turns out they built it out of wood that *I* owned, waiting in my backyard for another project, without asking. It wasn't taken apart at the end of the project -- I had to do that myself, too. I wound up buying new wood for my own project, since now it was full of screw holes.
