Wow! I visited the lovely boutique salon Spoke and Weal in Palo Alto recently as a model for Shampoo and Blow dry styling by Jazz and loved every minute! Jazz (Jasmine) did an amazing job making me feel pampered and special. From her kind and professional greeting upon my arrival, the wonderful head massage shampooing my long hair with awesome Aveda "Brilliant" Shampoo & Conditioner, her gentle and thoughtful approach getting the tangles out without pulling or hurting me, to her exceptional blow drying and styling - making my hair look amazing while giving it a soft silky feel and fresh botanical scent. I Highly recommend Jazz as a great young stylist - and Spoke and Weal clients are lucky to have her. Spoke and Weal is a relaxing and high quality hair salon! Thank you so much!

Gianna always does an amazing job on my hair! I have extremely thick and curly hair which can be a daunting challenge for many stylists but Gianna knows exactly how to style my hair perfectly! I can't recommend Gianna enough :)

Over this past weekend I got to sit with the kindly and beyond talented colorist, Isabella! We did a bleach that accented my natural color as well as layer it in and sit right with some cool Highlights. This was Isabella's expertise and we throughly went over this to ensure satisfaction and that I'd be happy with my bleach too! Upon the classy experience of spokes luxury setting as well as the feels of their high-end and industry cutting products such as K18 and Oway,, my hair was in paradise! So take your hair to the next level and go visit this place!

I've used the salon just once for a haircut and am definitely NOT going back. I don't at all agree with their dry cut methods and can't believe others tolerate it. Definitely AVOID this salon for cuts, since every stylist takes this same approach.

The stylist took a full 1.75 hours! The process was a laborious sectioning and clipping up of hair, followed by straight ironing sections (!) and snipping and thinning (with thinning shears, who uses those in 2023??). I swear 100,000 tiny shards of dry hair feel down inside the neck of the gown and under my shirt and bra -- so irritating and itchy. Worst of all, the stylist asked me to tilt my head this way and that for about 50-60% of the cut.

The resulting cut is not at all what I would ever want. She took off a full 2 inches of length!! (even though I only agreed to 1 inch) That's criminal. And my hair looks very fuzzy from all the random texturing on the outer layers, wreaking all the good work my previous stylist had put in to maintain a pristine, smooth facade.

This experience has really enlightened me to all the great practices my normal stylist (AT A DIFFERENT SALON) incorporates to get a great cut and smooth, shiny hair. She cuts the hair wet and is able to shape and thin it without compromising smooth outer layers. I don't need to bend my head every which way to make her job easier -- she can visualize just how it's going to turn out once dry based on her vast experience cutting hair. I'm definitely going back to her (even though she costs more money).

I'm so done with Spoke & Weal. The women there also seemed kind of catty. I just didn't sense a good vibe there.

I've been going to Spoke & Weal for many years now and love Kaycee (for color) and Abigail (for cut) :) I always leave with big smile and feeling prettier than when I walked in. Totally worth it!

My normal sytlist cancelled on me last minute (different salon) and Meghan had a cancellation and thankfully, the cancelled times aligned. So happy with the experience and my cut. Very calm and relaxing spa environemnt and I've never had so many compliments on my new style.

Isabella is *amazing* at color! I've been going to her for around two years and I just love the natural highlights she gives me. When my adorable teen daughter wanted her hair a little lighter and brighter like it was when she was younger, Isabella gave her beautiful highlights. Totally looks like the sun could have done it - subtle and natural - but also bright and has the 'blonde' she was looking for.

Spoke + Weal Salon is a great atmosphere - love the high, airy ceilings, plants, and minimalist design. Everyone working there is very professional and friendly.

Spoke&Wheel has been my go-to spot for a haircut for these last couple years. I've always booked with Meghan, who does an excellent job. She asks thorough questions to make sure the cut matches what I am looking for and how I plan to wear my hair, and she's skilled at helping think through options when I am not sure exactly what I need. I've been delighted by the results every time!

I love going to Vanessa for my trims. I've been trying to grow my hair out after a short cut with bangs. She always listens and gets my hair back to the shape and health I want without salvaging any precious length. Definitely see Vanessa if you are wanting healthy long hair! I'll update once she helps me get mine there ;)

I've been going to Kaycee for my color for 5+ years and I don't know where to even begin with how much I love her, and what she's done with my hair! My hair is the healthiest it's ever been and yet I get highlights every few months. Kaycee knows exactly what to do. I don't need to give her any direction and she just does it. She changes it slightly every time, especially based on the seasons. It is so natural and doesn't require any upkeep. Whenever I meet someone who doesn't know me, they think I'm naturally blonde. And if/when I tell them I get highlights, they always want to know where I get them done! KAYCEE IS THE BEST!

And Spoke and Weal in general is amazing. I go there for my haircuts too and I just can't say enough good things. They pamper you. The scalp massage is amazing and their blow-outs are beautiful!!!

I honestly have no words for how amazing my service was with the wonderful apprentice, Gianna. I came in as a color model and she absolutely blew my expectations away. I came in looking drab, and left looking fab. She also made me feel like a rockstar with a fun photo shoot after. A true professional and an amazing artist.
