Spot Free HVAC is the BEST heating and air conditioning company I've ever dealt with. They were AMAZING from start to finish. Over the years I've had five different HVAC companies come to try and diagnose / fix our AC unit and had terrible experiences with every one of them. Each time, these other companies would make outrageously expensive recommendations and their techs never seemed to know what they were doing. The results were a band-aided fix at best.

With all these temporary fixes, the AC failed again and we had an emergency AC repair needed at our condo. Brook from Spot Free was onsite within hours to take a look. Things continued extremely quickly from there. He had a recommendation that was better, more feasible and more explanatory than any of the previous companies had ever offered. The very next morning, he had his techs onsite along with a brand new AC unit and it was installed, tested and working within a couple hours. This was a feat that none of the other companies could do with multiple repeat (not to mention expensive) appointments over the course of 5 years.

Not only was Spot Free fast and efficient, but they offered phenomenal customer service. Brook and his technicians kept us well informed throughout the entire process and gave us all the information he could about every option we had so that we could make the best decision possible. Not once did we feel pressured to go one way or another and in the end we felt like we were able to make the decision to replace the AC unit with no hesitation or doubt in our minds.

The Spot Free technicians were courteous and thoughtful. We had an open house going on during the repair and they were all very polite and even went so far as to take their shoes off when coming into the condo to keep the new carpets clean for showing purposes. They came and performed the AC replacement with smiles on their faces and were extremely friendly and professional.

In the end, we had a brand new AC unit with all leaks repaired into the condo at about half the cost of what the other companies wanted to charge. The entire job was completed in under 24 hours from survey to testing. Spot Free came through when we needed them to and had our AC working great in time for our open house. I would recommend Brook and Spot Free HVAC to everyone. Well done Brook, you have a customer for life!

Brook was such a lifesaver! Our AC started only blowing out warm air right in the middle of a heat wave, and he was able to come within an hour of the call. He ran diagnostics, had the replacement part with him, and got everything working properly in about an hour. Price was reasonable, and couldn't have been friendlier/easier to work with. I can't speak highly enough about the incredible service we received from Brook at Spot Free HVAC. After getting an initial assessment from another vendor who charged us $79 just for a consultation and then quoted a staggering $2800 for the repair, we were feeling quite distressed. But then Brook came to the rescue!

Brook's approach was both professional and considerate. He offered an honest assessment and provided us with options. He suggested trying a more affordable fix first, and assured us that if it didn't work, the cost of the initial attempt would be deducted from the total cost of the more expensive fix. In October 2023, I upgraded my home with a cutting-edge Sensi thermostat (http://bit.ly/3PQqK5K), only to discover my home (built in 1988) was missing some necessary wiring. Faced with fluctuating weather, I made a temporary fix, switching between heating and cooling, while promising my partner a permanent solution before the summer of 2024. Eager to address this, I turned to Yelp and found Spot Free HVAC Air Services highly recommended. Their quote of $275 for the additional wiring seemed quite affordable, so I booked an appointment for a Friday at 9 a.m.

To my delight, two punctual professionals from Spot Free arrived precisely on time (spot-on!) -- a rarity in my experience. After a thorough examination, they presented two solutions: (1) a complete rewire closer to the garage or (2) a simpler, cost-effective alternative of repurposing an existing fan-only wire for only the $175 nominal fee, significantly less than the initial quote (and I don't run the fan alone - always with the ac or the heating). Opting for the latter option (2), I was impressed by their honesty and lack of sales pressure.

While they were on-site, they also offered a maintenance package for both my furnace and outdoor air conditioning unit at a reasonable maintenance total of $300 ($150 for the ac/heater combo unit and $150 for the ac unit outside; Grand total with the nominal fee is $475). This comprehensive service prepared my home for both the upcoming summer heat and the remaining cold spells, all at a great value.

When the job was completed (total time spent: 1 hour 20 minutes), the professional led me through the steps that were taken in the maintenance service. He indicated that I should extend the outside lint pipe from the dryer inside the garage because the lint was being sucked into the outside air conditioning unit (which he cleaned).

As a side-note (unrelated to this servicing), as part of his work review, the professional noticed a missing cover on an electrical unit going to my solar system for which I was very grateful he brought this dangerous issue to my attention! TYSM!

It's been less than an hour since this company left and have to say I am highly impressed with the responsiveness, efficiency and professionalism of the owner, Brook and his crew.

My heater suddenly decided not to work...you can hear it turn on and then it shuts down...hmm could be the pilot is out - CHECK it's working...since that's the extent of my furnace troubleshooting it was time to let the professionals handle it.

I sent a Yelp Request a Quote based off a recommendation from my friend Bryan M ...After giving me grief for years (oh you're being outed!) he's now a Yelp convert and found Spot Free HVAC Air Services for his furnace. Received a response within 10 mins (OMG unheard of) and told they could come out in about an hour (WHAT? Like today?!) and they did! Actually, they arrived within 30 mins (WOW! Amazing!) and checked a number of things from the igniter, rpm, pressure, the blower and finally the filter from the intake vent in the hallway.

I swear I changed that filter last year...Brook mentioned with pets it should be at least 3 times a year as it may look clean but doesn't get the proper airflow...um oops! Awkward! He also said he adjusted the motor power blower (ugh I think that's what he said) so it's running more optimally. Brook and crew stayed to make sure it wasn't overheating and the house was warming up as it should.

I appreciate him taking the time to explain the issue, providing advice with no hard sell of replacing my furnace! He said "why change it if it works"....wow, it's refreshing to work with honest and professional people nowadays. He definitely will be my contact when I need work or eventually, get my furnace replaced! Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

AC stopped working and after doing some research on yelp, this seemed like a great company to reach out to. So glad I did because they were able to come to my house same day and hopefully (fingers crossed) get things fixed. They were honest about it potentially being a temporary fix, but I am an optimistic person. Anyhow, I was very pleased with their work and loved that they were not trying to sell me things that I did not need. I will 100% reach out with any HVAC needs in the future.

5 stars are more than deserved. I was having an issue with my AC that others could not figure out. Brook came to check it out and in a matter of minutes solved the problem! Our air conditioner broke in the most inconvenient time: Ahead of a triple digit heatwave in the week of 4th of July. Brook was responsive to my urgent request on a Sunday evening and he gave me a call first thing Monday morning to get me scheduled same day. He arrived and quickly assessed the situation and fixed the issue in no time. We're definitely going to Brook for all our HVAC needs in the future - he is extremely responsive, understanding and it's clear that he is dedicated to his customers.

Branden and Luis were fantastic. They were prompt, diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced our AC unit in no time. During the job they kept us informed of their progress, were extremely neat and polite. Will definitely use Spot Free again.
