With the windiest weekend I can recall in San Francisco, I was hit with a bit of misfortune. It's not like we live in Kansas where a tornado can blow you off your feet. Well, I learned the hard way that the wind can almost blow your car door off its hinges. The wind was so strong that evening that as I opened my door gently, it flew open like I had the strength of the Incredible Hulk. I instantly heard a crack and my heart started to pound. "Maybe it was still ok," I thought. As I attempted to close the door, I realized that the door was bent off the hinges. Bad news. I couldn't shut my door and with a rainy stormy weekend headed to the Bay, I was screwed.

I luckily found a way to keep it closed for the weekend, but was not determined to open it very much, until I got it repaired. I looked all over Yelp and found Stan Carlsen Body Shop. I decided to venture on over on an early Monday morning. While hearing the sounds of "cha-ching cha-ching", inside my head, I was expecting the worst repair charges for my wonky door. I was planning to shop numerous auto body shops to compare estimates and make the best decision.

When I got there, Aaron greeted me and took a look at the creaky door. So the big question was, how bad is this going to eat into my wallet? I thought Aaron was speaking a different language because I thought he quoted me at only $100. Maybe he forgot another zero. He also said he could fix it in 45 minutes that very day. Was this guy a wizard or something?

Well, I came back that day to get it all fixed and was ready to wait for about an hour to give him $100, so that I wouldn't have to climb in from the passenger side any longer, to get into my car.

Aaron must have been trying to break a record or something because in less 15 MINUTES it was finished. Oh and here's the best part. Originally, he quoted me the damages at $100, but I was only billed $60. WHAAAAAAA?!? This placed made my day!

Of course, I never wanted my door to be broken from a wind blast, but in the end I found a great auto body shop that I know I can rely on, if nature wants to teach me a lesson again.

I had a paint transfer on my brand new car and was frustrated since it's a lease. I wasn't ready to shell out more money on a mistake I made. Aaron gave me the best and easiest advice that cleared the scuff within seconds. I would have spent $220 for someone to sand and color match which I didn't end up needing. This business saved me money and a headache, give them a shout.

I highly recommend this body shop; Aaron is incredibly friendly to deal with, did a great job of the repair in a timely manner and was completely transparent and fair with what needed to be repaired and how much it would cost (his initial estimate aligned with Geico's initial estimate and).

In addition to great service, he closed out my bill before Geico was done paying him the portion he was owed - which I find very respectable. From reading reviews of other body shops it sounds like when there's a disagreement between Geico and the shop owner it ends with an upset customer who had to pay more than their deductible and an upset shop owner who has to explain that Geico hasn't paid them yet.
In my case, Aaron actually gave me a discount on my deductible in order to stay true to his initial estimate, despite actually needing to provide additional fixes after starting work on the car; closed out my bill while he was still sorting the final total costs out with Geico putting the burden of cost on himself instead of on me. Pretty stand-up way to run a business if you ask me.

Final repairs consisted of replacing the driver's side front and rear doors + replacement of all the left side trims (all with brand new oem parts) and a repaint of the entire left side.

I have worked with Stan Carlsen for over 50 years, but also about 20+ years under the stewardship of Aaron Deo. I should have written a review years ago, but hope to make up for it now. No shop is perfect, but Aaron and his crew make every effort to do a nice job and keep the costs down for body parts, glass, labor, etc. I have had some interesting classic cars over the years and dealing with this variant has not been an obstacle for Aaron. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody as he has an excellent calm bedside manner. I'm sure he can take car of any problem.

I contacted Aaron for a quote and he penciled me in as soon as he was available. I dropped off my car and it was ready for pick up the following day!

I am impressed with the level of professionalism he has and with his good communication. His pricing is extremely fair and there were no last minute surprises or delays. This will be the only body shop I use going forward and that I recommend!

Had an accident with my 2016 Dodge Charger RT involving my front bumper and Aaron took care of my car once again. Got my front bumper replaced with a Scat Pack front bumper and absolutely in love with how it came out and it's new look. This the third time taking one my vehicle and Aaron is great to work with. I wouldn't take any of my vehicles anywhere else. They know what they're doing over there 10/10

Aaron, the owner, was lovely to interact with and took excellent care of my car. The work was meticulous, with a quick turnaround and very fair price. A gem of a find!

Glad to see that this body shop has a flawless record. I have trusted Aaron with my car repairs for many years now. I tend to need their services every couple of years and he greets me like an old friend. Most recently, I dinged or rather gauged our front bumper on our neighbors scaffolding that had a wing nut sticking out. In addition to that, we had a headlight that needed to be completely replaced. Aaron and crew quickly completed both jobs and I was just charged for parts on the headlight job. I am so lucky to live by an auto shop that I can trust will charge me the fairest price if not less!

Aaron and the team at Stan Carlsen are so great to work with, they are true professionals. We had an unfortunate accident that required considerable body work to our car. However, Aaron guided us through the process with Geico and even completed the repair work a couple days early so we didn't have to change our weekend plans. Needless to say, their work was also impeccable - the damaged area looks better than it did before the accident.

Their customer service and craftsmanship to their work is top notch in the city! I received a quote after swinging my car in and they told me it would be a few days for the parts to arrive. once they arrived i received a call to schedule the repairs. i dropped the car off and it was completed in a day. The price was exactly what was quoted to me and the end results were fantastic! Don't waste your time with other body shops. Give these guys a call and they will treat you and your car right!
