Standard Optometry

Ive been seeing Dr Lisa Lo for 3 years now and I love her. I prefer to wear a lower prescription than 20/20 (bc it can give me a headache) and she understood that and patiently worked with me to find a prescription that worked well. She then assessed me again for separate reading/computer glasses. While other drs have been strict about exactly what my prescription should be, I feel that she offers some flexibility to accommodate what I am comfortable with and I appreciate that.

Recently I became interested in color contacts and she gave me a bunch to try and ordered some free trials for me too. We've been corresponding back and forth about it and I feel that most drs will not not directly correspond back and forth like that but she is hands-on and I appreciate her responsive and the fact that we can use email (as that works much better for me than phone).

She is thorough, knowledgeable, flexible, patient and warm. I expect to be with her unless she either retires or I move out of the area!

Dr. Lisa Lo at Standard Optometry was amazing with my three kids (ages 9, 6, and 4)! She was incredibly patient and used fun language to explain everything during their eye exams. The office was warm and welcoming. They also received a small toy to take with them for being respectful and behaving after the exams. The support staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience stress-free. Dr. Lisa Lo thoroughly examined their eyes and explained everything clearly to my wife and I as well as to the kids. We are so happy to be able to find her through a referral to replace our previous optometrist, and will definitely be returning for all our annual exams and visits. We highly recommend Dr. Lo and her team to anyone looking for someone who truly care and have the expertise in this domain and if you're a parent looking for a kid-friendly eye doctor, Lisa is the one!

Called on Wednesday 1001am to ask to see whether there is any last minute cancellation. WOW, LUCKY DAY!!! 11am is available.
During the exam, I can hear her entire conversation with my dad.
Dr. Lo has great patience to help my dad to do his eye exam.
She also explained to me the result, what is the next step etc

The front desk personnel (Ingrid) is very helpful and quick.

The staff are very patient, accommodating, and helpful. A big plus is they know my insurance better than I do :)

The space is clean and pleasant, and there always seems to be street parking. Would highly recommend this place for eye exams and buying glasses/contacts.

I recently just ordered two pairs of eye glasses for both of my boys there. The staff there are very professional, flexible and friendly! They were very patient to help us to choose the styles we were looking for and answered every single question we had. The price there is also reasonable. Highly recommend this place to everyone who needs a new pair of glasses!

I used to visit a fancy, very expensive optometrist in Castro, San Francisco but I far prefer this place.
I found the doctor very helpful and went well beyond what I had expected. I came a second time with some questions regarding my prescription and the staff there were very helpful. I recommend this place.

Dr.Lo was very thorough with my eye examination. Patiently explained the situation and next steps for my eye care. My husband and I are satisfied with the care provided. The front office staff are very friendly, they showed us the eyeglasses and explained what is covered under our insurance. They are very prompt with sending reminders before our appointment. Overall we had a very good experience and would recommend Dr.Lo

Came here for an eye exam to fill a prescription for glasses and contacts. Dr Lo was very thorough, and friendly, and gave enough time to answer all my questions and concerns. She even gave me several free samples of contacts to try which ones were the best fit for me! Thank you!

I went in to get contacts for the first time and I'm still in the trial period because they want to make sure it is the absolute best fit for me before I buy. I find that to be absolutely amazing because as a first timer with contacts, I didn't expect one brand to be easier than another or one to not be as clear.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for glasses or contacts.

I went to this place for prescription glasses. The Optometrist tested my eyes and told me I could get either 1.75 or 2.5 magnification. I asked for 2.0 because i use a 2.0 mag cheap glasses available at Pharmacies. I was told that was not an option. So I got the 1.75's. But after I got it it's not strong enough.

So I went back and see if I can get them stronger one even with . Answer was "You have to pay another full price.".

I use the cheap glasses with 1.75 mag and have this set of $250 1.75 glasses that are useless to me.

As for me I think they don't know what they are doing. Obviously customer satisfaction is not high on their list. To bad i can't give Zero Stars.
