      Ahhhh,... Stan's Fireplace Service. If I could give them 10 stars I certainly would. Sadly, we live in an age when not all business in this world is honest and straight forward. Once upon a time in this country honesty in business actually WAS the norm. Simply put, Stan's Fireplace service really is honest. I so thoroughly appreciate not only their honesty, but also very much their thorough attention to detail in repairing our gas fireplace. The first place of business I contacted is a Chimney Sweep etc company that claimed they took care of fireplace repairs too. Their office staff told me that in order for them to repair my problem I must first agree to a $260.00 cleaning and analysis. I told them I didn't need a cleaning and they insisted that their policy was to clean first and then analyze. They did that. They cleaned and cleaned and took literally dozens of photos. Then the service man told me that the problem was very simply the ignitor cable that needed to be replaced, but they could ONLY repair the problem if I agreed to buy a $1300.00 rebuild kit plus labor to install. After I agreed to that, they told me much later after another check and countless phone calls that the manufacturer of my unit was out of business and they could not repair my fireplace. The story is much more involved that, but enough said about them. Stan's Fireplace Service was quite refreshingly the opposite of the first people I contacted. Say what you mean - mean what you say. That's Stan's Service. They told me that all I needed was to replace the ignitor cable without the extra song and dance. They didn't take 2 dozen photos of our unit. Their total time in our home was far less than that of the first company. They even told me that the manufacturer of our unit was in fact NOT out of business. A distributor for them may have gone out of business, but NOT the manufacturer. The total price I paid Stan's Service for actually repairing our problem was less than the manipulators charged to just take pictures. I like Stan and I like his main service man - Barry very much. Their price was very fair. More importantly, and honest man.

      Stan and his assistant did a great job installing a blower on our gas enclosed fireplace. Recommended the remote control to purchase and all is working well.

      Stan and his assistant were on time, courteous, laid out tarps to catch any grime, fixed my fireplace for the quoted price.

      We have a gas fireplace that had a weak flame when we turned it on for the first time this season.

      We called Stan to service and clean our gas fireplace. We set up an appointment for the following day, Stan arrived right on time.

      He disassembled the fireplace and both inspected and cleaned the entire unit. He reassembled it and fired it up. It is now working like a new fireplace.
      He discovered during the cleaning process that tiny spiders had spun webs inside the burner openings

      For the time he spent and the thoroughness of his service I think his pricing is very reasonable. We will certainly use him for future maintenance work.

      This company was quick and very professional. The technician really knew what he was doing. He pinpointed the problem and cleaned up the fan, saving us hundreds of dollars on a new fan. Thanks again for your services.

      You will never find any fireplace service like that provided by Stan's. He is delightful...really knows his business...and can repair any fireplace problem that you might have. He's been out several times, and today he helped resolve a rather minor problem by talking me through it on the phone. He felt he could do this and save me the cost of a service. Well, he did and problem resolved. In the Bay Area, they would have simply come out, did the job and charged me. It required his telling me where to find the receiver box and once found, the problem was resolved. I wouldn't ever consider calling anyone else for any service on any fireplace.

      I called today to schedule an appointment with John, Stan's employee as I said I do not want Stan coming back to my house. Reason why is John did an awesome job however the owner Stan came out to my house the first time to install a fan into my pellet stove. Not only did he install it incorrectly (another employee that came back to my house told me so) but he had me push the stove back into place. He said that he had bad knees or back or something. I told him I just had back surgery and he was like well I can't push it back in. After he left the fan started making noise and it was brand new. I immediately called and they sent John to my house a day or so later. Luckily enough the company let me exchange it even though Stan put it in wrong. After reading the other reviews clearly Stan doesn't know what he is doing. His employee John fixed the mess, but apparently he doesn't work there anymore. Stan has a horrible attitude and not worth wasting your time or money. Clearly by his response below you can see his attitude. I put a stop payment on the check to Stan because he f 'ed up my fan that I just paid $250 for. His employee came back and fixed Stan's mess and I paid him. Then John came back end of season to clean it so there was no denial of service. He is just mad I said I didn't want him working on my stove. Also as I stated I was a month out of surgery and Stan said he couldn't push my stove back and it would have stayed outside of my chimney. He also tried to charge me for the fan. That I BOUGHT from fireside thrift and provided to him !!! Then he was like oh sorry and scratched out the invoice. The guy will say it's one amount and then try to increase the final invoice. Looks as if he has done this with other people per his reviews. The guy is a thief and a clown, I suggest finding a more honest above board company. Do not let Stan work on your stove !!! He has 4 stars for a reason

      Stan's Fireplace is my go to! As a local realtor I'm always looking for service professionals I can count on! They can do safety inspections for buyers / sellers or tenants. I recently called to get my own fireplace fixed and was told it would be a few weeks out. I shared with Donna if she had a cancellation to let me know. I got a call the next day saying they could squeeze me in... I really appreciate the responsiveness, professionalism, and friendly attitude of everyone there. John was super helpful and responsive. I love supporting local businesses and will continue to do so!

      I was given Stan's Fireplace number from a company that only worked on the fireplaces they installed. I called and a technician name John arrived at the scheduled time. He was excellent, knowledgeable and very courteous. I would highly recommend them.

      Great customer service. I spent some time on the phone with them to find out what maintenance I needed to do for the fireplace in my new home. John came out and did an inspection, found that it was in good clean shape. He didn't even charge me for the visit. Can't wait to have them back for future chimney sweeping
