Steve Sims Almond Firewood

Steve never got back to me, like he said he would in his response. Now that the wood has dried out a bit since it was delivered - about 3 months later - it can be burned with some coaxing. And it does seem to burn long, so it's mostly hardwood. Still, the response is pretty bad, and I essentially had to season the stuff myself.

24 EMAILS back and forth. this guy had every excuse under the sun...all BS. he had told us he was on the way numerous times and then never showed up. We waited around all day today...after giving him so many chances. Told us noon, then we reached out and he told us he'd be here in 2 hrs ( 2 pm), then no show and we reached out and he said traffic issues...then he said he was on the way and would be here by 5:30...NOPE.
He is a total flake and a scammer. DO NOT PRE-PAY as you probably will never see him. Move on to other sellers. This guy sucks.

I paid in full for delivery and stacking of two cords over two years ago and Steve never delivered. I have tried relentlessly to get in touch with them but they ignore my call. Beware!

FRAUD! I will keep this post up until I hear from him. We have ordered with him for the last 4 years and the last years he's been great. Well this year I wanted to get ahead of the game and order early. They were very responsive and said if I paid venmo I would get a discount. So I sent the Venmo and the wood was to be delivered in August. Here we are in October and I am out the money and still no wood. I've sent numerous emails and called. They keep saying when they are in the area they will deliver. Well as of right now still nothing. I think the next step will have to be the better business bureaus and/or the police. Seems I'm not the first and will most likely be the last. I have given them ample time and opportunities to make this right and they still have not.

I added a picture of the Venmo that he sent to me - he said it's his daughters. I have also requested the money back- nothing!

I've been ordering from them for years. Always have shown up when they said they would. Generous quantity. Heavy, solid, seasoned almond. Nice folks. I'll be ordering for years to come.

I requested a 1/2 cord of Steve's almond wood on Wednesday via the website and requested a delivery date of Friday. i receive a timely response but i responded late on Friday. still it was a little awkward communicating via email. But that aside they kept me informed and delivered the 1/2 cord as promised stacked. payed with a check. I am extremely pleased and would order form them again.

Got a very generous half cord of nice dry almond, delivered fast. They made an extra effort to keep the wood dry. Very pleasant to deal with. Will definitely use again!

Reasonable prices and great speed in returning messages. Good amount for the price. Great people and they were friendly. The best over all companies.

Request a quote at 10am. Sent me a quote at 1010. & let me know that he could be there in 45mins if I wanted wood that day. (He Arrived in 35mins!! )
He dropped off the wood and 2 of his guys neatly stacked all the wood! Will definitely will used him next year!!

THEFT / FRAUD-based business right now - insist on C.O.D.

Steve Sims Almond Firewood WAS a viable and great business...until as of late. Read the reviews. I, too, in April, sent money to Steve for a 1/4 cord - was promised a delivery date and now I've been ghosted for over a month. A refund was "refused/denied".

This business will steal your money so don't send any money and insist on Cash on Delivery, like the old days.

I hope this business comes back but they have severely lost trust with their previous customers.
