This is my go-to place for all my plant needs. The nursery staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I particularly love going through the CA native plant section.

I highly recommend stopping by this nursery for their wide array of plants to choose from.

Huge selection of fruit trees. Pricier than home depot but more variety. We purchased a fruit salad tree that has apricot, white nectarine, peach, plum, and yellow nectarine grafted onto one tree for $99. They also have mixed apples tree where different kinds of apples are grafted onto one tree. We already see small peaches on our tree.

Many kinds of fig and avocado trees to choose from. We ended up buying a 5ft flanders fig tree $49 with beautiful foliage but it dropped a lot of leaves when we planted them in our yard. It is looking better now. Keep your receipt since summerwinds has a plant guarantee and they offer exchange, replacement, refund.

We also bought a small 2ft blood orange tree for $49. It is doing ok, no fruit yet.

Summerwinds did a good job of social distancing enforcement. We stood in marked lines to enter the store. The store is outdoor and has reasonably sized aisles to maneuver.

Such a beautiful nursery with one major drawback. They have a rotten apple on their hands. The problem's name is Christina and we won't be going back because of her. Our family found her to be rude and impatient. I mean, we're sorry we're new to the gardening game. We just needed a little help and yes we had questions. She seemed dismissive and annoyed. She left us no choice...we had to go to another nursery. We won't be back. Such a a shame because it seems like perfect place for local plant needs.

I have a cactus collection going and I am constantly needing soil additives like sand, rocks. This SummerWinds location has it all! They sometimes sell really interesting cactus varieties like large Peruvian Apple cactus, a fast growing columnar cactus, among others.

The indoor plant options are plentiful too, remember the Chinese Money plant (pilea peperomioides) trend of 2015? SummerWinds Mountain View sold that plant too. We bought a pink variant of a rubber plant taller than me, and it was priced competitively.

Every Spring the sheer selection of heirloom vegetables and citrus tree varieties keeps me coming back. Their prices are higher than the big box hardware store plant nursery's but the quality and selection is far better.

We have visited Summer Winds every year to get our Christmas tree, due to the freshness of their trees. This year, the trees seemed less fresh, but that small disappointment was FAR outweighed by the exceptional service we received from Noel! The guy loves his job, and spreads the cheer you can only hope for in starting the holiday decorating process. I sincerely hope his manager reads this and realizes what a star employee you have in Noel!

I have been to this nursery on several occasions and I always run into Christina. She is very knowledgeable and is a gem.

She has repotted my orchids and houseplants on several occasions and it's a pleasure to learn from her.

Thank you Christina for helping me

      Decent selection at good prices.

I came by to SummerWinds on a Saturday morning looking for some succulents as well as a nice pot to create a succulent arrangement. The store is definitely large and full of lots of different varieties of plants, ranging from fruit trees to indoor plants to succulents. After looking around, there weren't too many succulent plants to choose from. It was $3.99 for a small succulent and there were some bigger ones as well at different price points. There also weren't too many pots - it was mainly just plain colored pots, but nothing special. I ended up going to Yamagami's in Cupertino and found a lot more variety for the same price.

I love stopping by SummerWinds to look for plants and I constantly find the most beautiful pots and plants at this location for my home. I came in looking for a cactus (after returning home from a trip to Mexico and falling in love with them there) and I found the perfect one for $6.99! I grabbed a small, beautiful pot as well. On my way to check out, an employee, Paul Amaya suggested getting a much larger pot for my cactus to thrive in and really grow to its full potential. He kindly offered to pot the cactus for me too, something that I didn't know they offered at SummerWinds.

Paul walked me through how to care for the cactus, what soil works best and even added decorative rocks and pebbles as well! I'm so happy with my purchase and the customer service provided. It was truly a wonderful experience. Thank you so much Paul!
