Great install on a gas fire place insert and they were great to work with, very skilled and easy going. And they.showed local CV some love. It's still working like new after about 10 years.

Our Family Room fireplace had an old large wood-burning insert that we wanted to replace with a natural gas log set and doors. After a lot of research for a reputable fireplace consultant/contractor, Summit Fireplace looked promising. We're so glad we went with them. Ted and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was very patient with my (many) questions. It turned out we needed a custom fireplace door due to our unusual size opening and shape. We couldn't be happier with how the custom doors look! Ted is an excellent communicator and personable too. He'll be the first person we contact if we ever do anything to our other fireplace.

We love our gas fireplace! The folks at Summit were a pleasure to work with. Ted helped us choose a model at the showroom and was very helpful. When it came time for the install, the electrical, plumbing, and unit install was all coordinated via Ted at Summit and went extremely smoothly - everyone showed up when they said they would and finished their work within the timeframe estimated. The whole project was completed ahead of time and we're very happy with the work they did. Would highly recommend!

Ted, Ryan and team did an amazing job on my fireplace. I had a very specific electric fireplace that I wanted to use (240v) and Ted and Ryan worked with me to make it a reality. Ryan did a thorough inspection and was confident we could flush mount the fireplace with the 240v wiring for a high output electric fireplace. I highly recommend Summit.

We're so happy with our gas fireplace insert. They were responsive, reasonably priced and very easy to work with. The entire project from beginning to end was perfect.

I'll close out my previous review with five stars. I ended up going with Summit, they worked closely with me and my contractor on measurements, timelines, etc. throughout my remodel, and the results are great. We use our two new gas fireplaces regularly, and are happy to have swapped out the wood burning originals.

No hesitation recommending Summit.

We spoke to a few different shops and, while Summit wasn't the cheapest, they were competitive on price and we got a better feeling from dealing with Ted. He took several calls and a FaceTime session to look at our setup and recommend things that would look right with our livingroom. We also booked the plumbing for the gas line and electrical through him after receiving a few quotes there as well. They were able to install right before Thanksgiving and that team did a great job as well.

After having a bad experience with the sales staff at a fireplace store in Dublin, I found Summit to be a nice relief. Ryan and Ted were awesome all along - not just during the initial sales and install phase, but even months after when I needed a little help. I hope their business does well because they are a true asset to Castro Valley and an example for others to follow.

I added photos of my install which turned out amazing! This is the Valor G3.5 series with the Murino glass kit, fluted black liners, and vintage iron surround.

Summit also installed the wall-mounted control switch and that adds a nice touch. The unit comes with a wireless remote too but I hate clutter so it's nice to have the simplicity of pressing one button on a wall switch to light the fireplace!

Many thanks to Ted and Ryan. We're very happy with our new gas insert, just in time for family visiting for the holiday. The process was easy and efficient. I appreciate that the electrical and plumbing contractors were included and the price was fair.
