Sunnyside Auto Repair

On weekend I got a flat tire, and was frustrated as most shops are closed on Sundays. Thankfully, Sunnyside was open! As my tire was fixed very fast, I also had time to ask for the oil change - and it was also done in a very efficient and fast manner! Thank you, Sunnyside, for your friendly and professional service!

This place provided the best mechanic experience we've ever had! 10 out of 10. The location is great, an unbusy street and easy to find. Communicative via yelp, which helped me feel confident bringing my 2011 Prius there when it wouldn't start without a jump. Shon welcomed me and made sure I understood every step. He made sure I was aware of other repairs needed soon on my car for my safety, and didn't pressure me to service anything I didn't ask for. This time, It was just a 12v battery replacement, but I now feel relieved to have a trusted mechanic in the area! Shon confirmed the price with me (a standard, reasonable price) and they had us on our way within an hour and a half. They were kind, fast, and honest. I WILL be back!! Thank you!

My car started making horrible noises. The air conditioner started blowing hot air. I googled the closest service place. I got Sunnyside auto repair. I had never been there but I was desperate.
What a stroke of luck. They could have easily have taken advantage of me. I'm a woman, on a Sunday afternoon, with a car not working. What a wonderful surprise! They replaced a belt for a modest price. Shon was so nice and helpful.
I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

I have a 20 year old BMW which had a couple rust bubbles on the exterior. After bringing the car in and having a chat with the guys there; we discussed how they'd be able to repair those spots and make it look brand new.

I dropped off the car and two days later it was ready, looking brand new! Seriously, I can't even tell that any work has ever been done to it, it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.

Great work from all of them, happy to bring my car back here any time for any other cosmetic needs that I have.

Got into a nasty looking collision and needed my vehicle repaired immediately. Not only did they do an excellent job, they did it very quick and at a cost friendly deal. Would recommend them to anybody!

Every time I come to get something done to my car, they never disappoint! Specially this time, got my front and back bumper replaced. They did an amazing job! trust worthy, reliable, friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to Shon as well for always looking out for us! I highly recommend this auto shop!

Outstanding first experience with Shon and his team at Sunnyside Auto Repair. We brought in our aging Audi that couldn't be started without a jumper cable, and when it was running, vibrated loudly in the cabin especially while idling. Also the AC wouldn't start. They quickly found the starter needed replacing, which was done quickly at reasonable cost. The vibration was due to worn out engine and transmission mounts. It took them a few days to get the original parts in from Audi (delay in Audi's side), but immediately installed them as soon as they arrived, fully eliminating cabin vibrations. The only wrinkle was that they had overlooked the AC issue when I first came to pick up, but had it taken care of "at cost" by the next day, as a courtesy. Very competent, affordable, excellent communication. I will certainly be coming back for future service!

Found this place off yelp and happy I did. They were very responsive and helpful even before my arrival. My service was literally no more than 30 mins to replace my mirror. Fast , efficient and honest. They even buffed out a mark on my car which I appreciated. Made my car look like new. I would definitely be coming here for future work on my vehicle. Also, as a woman I appreciate them not trying to hackle me. That's always my main concern, I was very comfortable.

Had to get my vehicle towed last week. I found this mechanic shop a few blocks from my house. I'm glad I did very reliable and fair price. Shoon the owner was very professional and honest. My car was ready when he said it would be. I would definitely be coming back.

This is an awesome company!
I've been taking my car here since I moved to Queens last year. I'm always hesitant to use new shops to work on my car since you never know which shops are going to push unnecessary repairs or jack up their prices. But Sunnyside Auto Repair has proven to be one of the most honest and competitively priced shops I've experienced so far. I've taken my car here few times to tackle some maintenance I've let rack up, they've been extremely professional and honest about everything that was recommended. I love that they provide with inspection report for your car, to tell you exactly what's going on. They also have a nice website, where appointments are easy to set up. Definitely will continue to use this shop for our cars.

Took my car to check if I needed a battery change as my orm device stated it wasn't good and that morning I had needed a boost. I feel I left a light on though for a 2 days in cold weather. Regardless I explained this to the mechanic at Sunnyside Auto Repair and he says bring it in . Arrived 15 minutes after speaking to him , left the car w him for an hour and came back after he ran his scans w his machine.
I arrive to hear his assessment when he texts me within 45 minutes to hear something I'm not use to hearing.
The mechanic states there is no problem w the battery.
I ask are you certain.
He starts the car and says trust me this battery is strong.
I'm a little confused and then ask him how much would this cost me .

To my surprise he says it's free of charge?
I'm like serious ?

I tipped him for his sincerity

I waited 2 weeks to right this review because I still have sent convinced and to be honest the car is running as good as ever .
So now I can truthfully assess theirs an honest mechanic in town.
And I highly recommend to anyone from this experience. I'll definitely keep him in mind the next time I need a mechanic.
