Super Deal Auto Repair

I don't usually write reviews (this is my first on Yelp!) but I decided to as I am pleased with the customer service I received at Super Deal Auto Repair in Burnaby. This repair shop is a HIDDEN GEM as far as auto repairs goes. What I like best about this place is:

1) It's owner operated - Allen cares about his business so he treats customers with great service and knowledge and complete honesty.

2) So many times I would say maybe this and that need replacing but Allen is so honest he told me so many times it doesn't need replacing. How good is that!

3) The owner is very competent and knows his stuff. My car is an import but I bet he knows how to fix all makes and models.... I found him to be 100% completely competent for the past year I have been servicing my car here. He fixes anything and everything....

4) Allen never rushes a job... he thoroughly completes the job before moving onto another car to work on. I witnessed that first hand today as he stayed late to work on my car.

5) So far there is adequate parking in front of store so that makes it relatively easy to park.

So there you have it, I'm sharing my hidden gem with you.... my fear now is people will try to go here once and they will become long time customers and I won't get the good time slot appointments I want anymore. Oh well, can't have my cake and eat it too!

Allen is very personable and knowledgeable. I'm very happy I found him. He helped me over and above to fix my car and also was accommodating. I noticed other customers there were happy ones as well. And he remembered my name! That's talent!

I had my car maintained here today. Excellent service, even on Sundays. Prices were reasonable, and the assistance was superb

Needed a new mechanic b/c my previous one retired. Used Yelp to help find a new one, and decided to give Super Deal a try. While his price might not be the best in town, it's competitive. Once you meet the owner and talk to him, you know and feel he's a guy you can trust with your car. Told him that my brake pads might need to be changed, and he that's all he did for me....didn't try to up sell me by saying you need to do this and that (like changing the rotors on the car). Will definitely be returning to Super Deal to get my automotive repairs.

I have been using Allen's service a few times since moved to Burnaby, and feel extremely satisfied with his service.

We have 2 vehicles, while the 2nd one is rarely used. Early this year, I brought both vehicles to Allen's store for oil change. Allen checked the 2nd vehicle and told me that it didn't need an oil change. I insisted to do an oil change on that vehicle since it had been almost half year since last oil change. Allen went back having the vehicle checked again, he then told me that oil life percentage was about 80% and no oil change needed at all. He also told me that since the vehicle was not used that often, we didn't need to worry about it unless oil change reminder light is on.

Few months later, I found a nail in one of the tires. I planed to have that tire replaced, but my neighbor told me that I should have all 4 tires replaced for safe purpose. So I went to Costco for a replacement but they were too busy to get it done that week. I then stopped by Allen's store to see if he could get them replaced. Allen checked and told me that patching the tire would be enough, and no replacement needed. After having that hole patched, Allen examined the whole tire again and found a small hole on the same tire. He went ahead patched the 2nd hole for me as well.

There are also other small stories but I don't want to spend too much time writing everything. Throughout the years I had visited different auto shops, and Allen is definitely the best one. He is always very friendly and extremely honest. Allen helps to get problems resolved and save customers' money.

Definitely will come back for other checks and mending!

A co-worker referred me to Allen's shop, awesome referral!! He was able to help me patch up a flat tire when others couldn't. He's a full service mechanic and can even do touch-up body work.

I believe I've found my new mechanic and he's open Sundays, bonus points for that!

Allen is a great mechanic and even better person. He takes his time and does his job with pride. His work exudes quality and precision.
He is very nice, honest and fair.
I take both our family vehicles to him and will continue to do so.

It seems a one man shop, so make sure book your appointment! So glad that I find my preferred mechanics close to my new home.

I took my Hyundai Accent there for a 90,000km tune up. He fit me in the same morning. Not only did he do all the work within 40 minutes, he also took the time to fill up my tires, check the brakes and air conditioning which he reported were all in good condition. Not only did he not charge extra, he didn't try to sell me service that I didn't need, like a lot of the other mechanics. Very reasonable price for the tune-up too. I'll bring my summer car Maserati Granturismo to him when I need service in the future.

I agree with one of the Yelpers who had the flat tire. My tire wasn't flat but had a slow leak (caused by a nail) that was at 6 psi on late Fri afternoon. Got the tire pumped up but no time to bring it in to any shop to look and repair before Sunday.

Lucky I trusted fellow Yelpers to help me out and they did. Read the reviews and gave Allen a call since he was one of the few shops that opens on Sundays for a few hours at least. Advised me to come around 1-2 pm and tire was all repaired by 1:20 pm. He assured me that if I had any problem whatsoever to come back. Best $28 ever spent for a peace of mind and even better, not have to buy a brand new tire for my 20 year old car!
