Sushi Mura

My new go to sushi spot. The staff are so kind and hospitable. The sushi is delicious and fresh. Yummy sake cocktails. Incredible patio to get some sunshine and the interior has a lovely atmosphere. I've been a few times now and it's always been excellen!

We were in the area and decided to stop by at this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was busy, but the staff were very efficient. There was an ordering tablet at each table so it was very easy to place our orders. However, regular paper menus were still available for those who wanted to look over a whole menu at one go.

Once the order was placed, our food arrived fairly quickly. Seafood was fresh and food portion size was very good. We ended up with leftovers. My child ate the whole gyoza order. I enjoyed the selection of assorted sashimi. The aburi salmon battera was packed well and loaded with salmon. The salmon was nicely seared. The on cloud 9 roll was loaded with chopped scallop. The tempura was perfectly fried and udon tasted as expected. Lastly, their presentation was excellent.

The restaurant was clean and tidy. Restrooms were clean and well organized with hand soap, mouth wash and paper towels. The ambiance was modern and definitely a good place for large groups. Prices were reasonable too for the amount of food we ordered. I would return if I am in the area and craving for some Japanese food.

It's their 4th location. How could it be this bad and still have three other places? It just opened recently and we live nearby so we ordered delivery. It took forever and it cost over $150. We were excited and that feeling soon dissipated.

The only two good items were the California rolls and the shrimp sunomono.

Our uni was dry. It was so dry and it smelled off, so I didn't eat it. I ate one ikura and the sac was really dry and it tasted fishier than ikura should taste so I didn't eat it. I put my amaebi in my mouth and upon my first chew, I spat that out because it was slimy. The sockeye salmon sashimi tasted off.

What an expensive mistake.

Last week, I visited this place with my children. In Japanese cuisine, freshness is as important as taste, and this restaurant excelled in both. I was quite satisfied with the sushi rolls, especially with the addition of sliced beet vegetables that enhanced the flavor. While the pork cutlet was good, the potato croquette stood out as a delicacy, and I highly recommend it as an appetizer.
