Szeto Plumbing and Handyman

I noticed a leak by my window on Saturday and I looked on Yelp for a repair service and found Szeto Plumbing. They were incredibly responsive after our initial phone call and texting a few pictures over of the leak. Han stopped by within 30 minutes to evaluate the leak and discovered it was a clogged gutter above the window. I was impressed with how quickly Szeto Plumbing responded to my call, diagnosed and fixed the issue. Thank you so much for the excellent service!!!

I needed to replace a kitchen faucet before a tenant moved in, and a friend recommended Szeto. He came right on time, finished the job very quickly, and charged me a price that was more than fair.

Put a project on Yelp to change a kitchen faucet. After receiving several bids, Reliable Handyman was the cheapest and was able to do it next day. The gewas at my condo the following day, and replaced my faucet without any problems, in minimal time.

I had ordered a tankless bidet toilet and needed a hand with installation. Reliable Handyman was not only responsive, but had quoted me online with provided pictures of my current toilet. The plumber came the next day ready to do the installation. However, the new toilet interfered with the water valve and we needed to reroute the line to turn 90 degrees and run along the wall. He explained that in an event of a water leak, I'll want to be able to access the valve outside the toilet and not have it stuck inside. We reschedule for the next day after he bought materials for install.

The installation was smooth. He even helped out at the end with recycling and disposing of the toilet. Appreciated the excellent service at an incredible rate. Would recommend to anyone doing plumbing.

Cannot trust this person. I spoke to Szeto on Monday and he scheduled my job for the following Friday at 5pm. I specifically asked him if he serviced my area and he said that he did. Friday afternoon came and I did not hear from him so I texted him an hour before the job was set to begin just to make sure he was coming. This is when he informed me that he could not do the repair because he did not service my area. I've would have been okay if he had reached out to me a few days earlier to let me know the situation but he never did. Now I have to explain myself to my tenant.

Water levels have been low on my toilet for a few months, so I wanted to do some preventative maintenance before it turns into something larger.

Called a few of the local plumbers in the area - either not responsive or charging at the highest range.

Since the local shop wasn't picking up, I messaged them through Projects on Yelp and accidentally put a request out to other plumbers.

Reliable was one of the first that reached out and after fielding a few others, I decided to go with them.

Seamless process - chat on the phone for a minute to figure out availability, then Rick will text you when he is able to secure a tech to come your way. Any changes will be quickly communicated - which is so appreciated.

The technician Han was so pleasant - it's all in the details:
-easily figured out parking/access
-removed shoes without prompting
-came prepared with everything, parts and his own towels, yes I have had repair people destroy my towels with the grease on their hands
-professional, polite, respectful of my home
-the repair was simple but he showed me how to troubleshoot in the future, which is invaluable if the same issue occurs

Reliable has a customer for life and found out after they do other repairs outside of plumbing also - excited to have a handy person other than TaskRabbit!

They came out to install a new faucet in my garage that I was a little nervous about. I couldn't believe how fast the guy was very impressed with their service.

Recently we noticed 2 issues in our condo in SF. One is that there is one piece of hardwood floor broke which created a hole. The other one is that the bathroom window is too old and can't really hold and close correctly.

At first, I got a quote from our neighbor handyman who came and gave me a quote of $1000 for both issues (not to replace the window but just to fix it). It sounds a bit too much so we decided to get a second opinion. We found "Reliable Handyman" on yelp. They responded to my message super quickly, and sent a guy to examine the situation about 20 mins after we first texted. The handyman came and just fixed the 2 issues on site in 30 mins. After that, he said that the job is small enough so it's FREE of charge. It's really too good to be true. I basically saved $1000. Definitely recommend and they will be my first and top choice whenever I have jobs like this in the future.

Rick helped us install a gas line. Super prompt, safe, quick and very fair pricing. They were great at explaining what they were doing which I really appreciate. Overall can't thank them enough!!
