Taco Fresco Burger & Fries

I love this place. It's unassuming but has some great food. I usually take it to go, so unfortunately I don't have any photos because by the time I'm home, I'm so excited I always eat all the tacos before I remember to take a photo but I seriously crave their shrimp tacos on a regular.

They fry their tacos so it's juicy shrimp in a crunchy tortilla shell, filled with some crunchy lettuce and cheese.

Their menu is also huge and has other options like their regular soft street tacos, hamburgers, fries, etcetera but the shrimp tacos in my opinion are the must try items on their menu!

The service here is amazing! The cashier lady was so sweet and they were really fast. It's convenient of them to have outdoor seating if you have a bigger party. I got the shrimp and fish tacos the other day and they were so delicious. As much as I am a shrimp taco lover, I really do think the fish tacos stole the show. The shells were nice and crunchy and I really liked their slaw + chipotle sauce combo.

Best shrimp tacos in Sac!!! The chipotle sauce is SO good and truly elevates the tacos. They also have red salsa sauce on the side which is too spicy for me, so I don't use it. Their homemade shells are so crispy and different from other taco places I've tried. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Taco Fresco is a hidden gem that I wish I could gatekeep but this place deserves the recognition. The carne asada fries are yummy and a huge portion.

How is this restaurant not talked about more in Sac circles?

Now that I think about it, it could be because of how far and awkward their location is. However, the place itself is a very unassuming medium-sized restaurant with a few outdoor seats and a couple of tables inside. It's what they do with this space that really makes them standout. We got the entire taco gauntlet, fish, shrimp, chicken Al pastor, and carne asada. By far, the shrimp and fish tacos are the way to go. From the tangy and sweet sauce to the nice crispy outer shell and crackling batter, the fish tacos do reign supreme at this location. That doesn't mean their other proteins and tacos aren't bad but the next 5 tacos I get there would definitely be all fish.
The folks at the register are also nice and attentive, no qualms there.

Overall, if fish tacos are your forte and you would be remiss not to visit this fine seafood taco establishment!

Okay, this place is worth the hype. They have a nice set up, with some tables inside, but most tables outside. The menu has many great accompanying pictures. The prices are valid. Also, my food came out so quickly. Both tacos were cooked and put together so well. This is the first time I've tried taco shells like this. It was sooo crispy. The thinly slicked veggies were a great touch & so was the sauce. The portions of shrimp and fish were solid. The tacos were sooo good. If I was hungrier, I'd probably order more food, but I guess I'll just have to return to try more of their menu.

This is one of my go to places for shrimp tacos! The shell is what makes it different from other places because it's fries and puffed up. The chipotle sauce is fire and the salsa is SO spicy but the good kind of spice!

We got 4 tacos and a jarritos for about $20. We definitely could have ordered more food but we only came in for some tacos today.

The hours don't appear to be accurate or reliable. Yelp and their website says they close at 6pm. We drove out here and arrived at 5:15 and it appears to be already closed.

I don't know why my family and I stopped coming here when the food has always been delicious and the portion size is perfect. The cashier was very kind and patient with us when we were ordering. After not coming back for a while, I instantly lit up when I saw the menu. This place is hidden across the Vietnamese Church and I wish it got the recognition that it deserves. With both an indoor and outdoor seating, it's pretty spacious and clean. We ordered fish tacos, shrimp taco, carne burrito, and asada fries. For drinks, we got horchata and Jamaica. All of the food was very well seasoning, however the shrimp was a bit bland but that could also be my fault for this is my first time having it. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're ever in the area.
