I consider this place awesome authentic Mexican food!! The orange sauce is just as good as La Vics Not as spicy which isn't a bad thing. Come Here for great quality Mexican food. The staff is Friendly and this is definitely my go to place for Mexican food near the Princeton Plaza. Take a picture of the menu when you get there because I noticed the menu isn't really online!

+1 star for fresh, delicious food. They serve some of the best tortillas around.

+1 star for efficient and helpful service. Even if they could always seem to use another staffer, they always try their best.

+1 star for consistency- this place has been solid for years and I've enjoyed every meal of theirs that I've ever had. Leftovers are great, if they aren't eaten before you get to them!

      +1 star for cleanliness

+1 star for fairly priced food and drinks. The value is there for what you get compared to so many places.

wanted to love this place but really couldn't all of the meats are seasoned simply with salt it seems. maybe not even. the meats were bland and really lacking any marinades or seasoning. the melted cheese El Jefe is the best value item here but be warned, likely this has what it feels like a pound of cheese on it. with all that cheese this was a greasy mess. what taqueria's seem to get wrong is, in Mexico the taqueria's that only season with salt always cook over wood charcoal which adds flavor. if cooking on a plancha or gas grill, you'll get none of that extra flavor from the wood smoke.

heart did lose a few beats here due to the grease. sadly I'd probably never return as there are so many better places in San Jose.

staff was very nice and place was very clean.

Plenty of parking as this place is located in a strip mall that has some vacancies. Overall the decor of this location is a little run down, but came as the yelp reviews were good.

Ordered some chips and guacamole and they were ok... the guacamole didn't have a ton of flavor and the chips were just average.

Also ordered 4 tacos, 3 carne asada and 1 al pastor. The meat has a nice charred flavor, but overall flavor is lacking, but the handmade tortillas are a nice touch.

Also ordered the chili verde plate and this was awful, didn't finish it after 4 bits. Way too salty and seemed to have too much vinegar on it.

Service to order was friendly, but it did take over 30 min to get food, maybe because there was a large group ahead of us and some of the items are homemade.

Overall this place is ok, but not sure it warrants the hype or maybe I just need to stick the the simple things, tacos and burritos.

Also, the AC wasn't working the day I came in so while you can eat there (about 6 or so tables inside), it may be a little warm. On the plus side, the salsas are spicy!

This has to be one of my favorite taquerias now because the Al Pastor Super Burrito is SO GOOD

There's plenty of parking in the plaza, so no need to worry about finding parking.

      Card/contactless payments are available!

      Service: 5/5
Everyone I've met so far have been very welcoming and kind.

Super burrito with al pastor: 5/5
The al pastor is so tender, flavorful and smokey. I love all the fillings except I don't get beans. Everything else is amazing.

I recommend this place to everyone! :)

Very small restaurant with great food and friendly service. Besides the four tables that seat 4 people there are a few that seat 2. There's also some tables outside, and they do a lot of takeout. Despite its size, this little family restaurant is worth checking out.

pretty sure this is my new go-to taco place in SJ

super taco ($5.15) - these are 1.5x bigger than normal sized street tacos for sure. I'm good off of one but since they're so yummy I try to stuff two

      Jefecita ($6.50)
      El jefe taco ($7.70)
: only difference between these two is the extra tortilla on el jefe, its a grilled cheesy tortilla. ONE taco is good enough, it literally is the size of the togo box. ordering 6 tacos was literally six meals that I ate for three days straight LOL

al pastor over carne asada for sure but I wish they added pineapple to al pastor tacos like how they do in LA street tacos.

Tacos al pastor was closed on Cinco de Mayo and so we were looking for another place to go. This was great as their tacos were cheap, very full, and had handmade tortillas.

My girlfriend also loved their super chicken quesadilla.

They were hustling and super fast with our order, only taking 20 minutes of the expected 35.

Might be our new go to taco place.

This is my family's go to taqueria for tacos and burritos. The food is fresh and delicious. They also have yummy agua fresca. I particularly like their watermelon agua fresca. I like to order ahead by calling the taqueria. It makes it easier to order ahead and pay when I pick up the food.

Been coming here for years now always amazing. The best thing on the menu is the Chimichanga it's best with either chorizo or carnitas. Since I first came here the only thing that has gone down in quality is the hot sauce.Don't get me wrong it tastes equally as good but they have reduced the sizes and I think they freeze it or add Gelatin because a few times it's been kinda frozen/jello like. When I don't get the chimichanga the California burrito is FIRE it's so good.

This is the best taqueria in the south bay! Great customer service. Came as soon as they opened and there was already a line forming up. Carne asada tacos and burrito were definitely on point. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The lady, who took my order, said the wait is about 20-25 minutes, but ended up waiting 30-35 minutes. Plenty of parking. It's a small establishment, so there are only five to six tables for dine in.
