Taqueria Los Gallos Express #2

I love that it's open late night and right next to a boba joint. Mexican food and boba is a match made in heaven to me.

Their menu is a pretty standard Mexican food place and seating is slightly limited, but their food is quite tasty. I came here with the husband and a friend and we got to sample different meats.

- the flautas were pretty good, crispy on the edges, but a bit soft where they poured all the lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce. Overall good and I love how there were generous pieces of chicken. Loved their version of refried beans which paired well with the rice and flautas.
- the two meat places were well seasoned and flavored, but nothing spectacular.
- I do love the fact that they have your own chips and salsa bar with a good variety of salsa and add on options. However, most of the salsas and add ones were gone by the time we wanted some and we had to notify them a couple times that they needed refilling.

Overall, good late night Mexican food option.

I can't believe I haven't tried this place yet... it's recommended to me by my neighbor as I was looking for a "good burrito" place and i became an INSTANT FAN of Los Gallos!!!

I ordered two burritos (Steak and Lengua) to go and they are both DELISH! Their burritos are packed with flavors that are perfectly balanced... the meat is grilled, tender and flavorful, perfectly balancing the rice, beans and other condiments (I ordered my burritos with everything). The burritos are also rolled perfectly tight - meaning, when you eat it, the "stuff" is not falling off left and right onto your clothes. A signal of a perfect burrito!!!

I've had my fair share of bad to mediocre burritos in Concord, and Los Gallos' is by far and definitely THE BEST BURRITOS IN TOWN!! Additionally - I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have a self-serve salsa bar, which many places do not offer anymore. And, their salsas are YUM!

I will be visiting again very soon to dine in and try their other dishes. Can't wait to come back... Thanks Los Gallos!!

Let me start by saying I've been here twice, the first time I went because it was highly recommended to me so I decided to give it a try and I was not a fan. I gave it another chance recently and the food was absolutely disgusting I had 2 of their pupusas and a strawberry water.The pupusas were very thick and oily with hardly any filling so it was basically just all flour pupusas,totally not worth my money.The strawberry was pretty good a little too sweet but I added more water and problem solved.Let me get to the service now, idk if saying the service was horrible is enough because it was very unpleasant.I was being charged extra for something my food came with and the workers made it an issue when I asked for a to go box.Uncomfortable situation

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get nachos sort of late. Unfortunately, we stopped at Tacos El Patron, and they closed early. My boyfriend suggested Los Gallos since we had our mind set on nachos. Being from the area he remembered it being fairly good from his younger days. We ordered nachos, a taco, and a pupusa. With our order, we were able to bring chips and salsa home from their self-service bar. For some reason, our order was taking a long time. Many people who ordered after us came and went while we were still stuck waiting. I think the pupusa caused this. By the time we got home, the nachos were cold and a little soggy. It had A LOT of sour cream on it. Sort of an overwhelming amount just plastered on top. The taco was really not good at all. Looked and tasted like something I could have made on my own. I wish I just got a regular taco. My boyfriend's pupusa was the best thing we got, but the masa was slightly thick and dry. Probably won't visit again.

Very authentic Mexican food! Service is impeccable and I stumbled on this restaurant back in 2020 during the peak of Covid and even back then the food and service were on point. You truly get your money's worth here and coming here once will make you an automatic repeat customer. You can pay Apple Pay or by credit or debit but they give you a little discount for paying cash... just FYI.

I've gone here and to the main restaurant many times. I went about 9 pm. The taste of the carne asada burrito was not as good as it's been. Not sure why, maybe an off night. I think they left out the sour crème and onions and it just didn't have that immediate yum taste. The fact that they say they are open 24/7 is great but you'd really like to have that great taste from your first bite. I'm sure I'll be back.

Amazing to find a place that still has $1 tacos for Taco Tuesdays!! Also looks like a lot of people appreciate it too because it had a steady stream of patrons. Granted they don't give you huge portions and they charge for chips now but still worth it. I got a huge cantaloupe agua Fresca and it was sooo good and refreshing. This place is always hustling and bustling and also good to know they're open 24 hours! You can go to Farringtons a few doors down and then come here to sober up with $1 tacos afterwards.

Check your order before you leave. These we're supposed to be 5 tacos but I made it into 4 because the order barely had any meat. The food is less than mediocre. I'm actually upset I waited in line for this.

It's quite pricy. The burrito is small for market price. They have $1 taco Tuesday but only on some tacos, not all and they were not clear on the menu which one is $1. The meat is quite bland no flavor. They have several tables inside and they are pretty clean. The servers did great for cleaning up everything after customers left.

Picking up tacos for a light dinner for family. Although it was dollar tacos, there's hardly any meat. 2 weeks ago, there was plenty of meat.

So very disappointed that this place is inconsistent. I will need to find another taco place
