Any birthday specials or things they do for birthday guest?

      A:

Birthday specials I'm not sure about but they do bring out a piece of cake which is really moist! They also add a nice sparkler on the top of it as well! The presentation of the plate is 10/10

Came to experience Dine in Downtown 2024.

Menu offerings represents a variety of different region and states showcasing creative diverse flavors of Mexico. Features eclectic Mexican art and home to tequila museum. Upon entering hung a beautiful Dia de los Muertos display.

Seated promptly for a party of 5 providing excellent assistance throughout our meal. Inconsistent drinks prepared for each guest at our table. Fresh local ingredients in the farm to fork tradition. Delicious unique food in an inviting relaxing ambiance. Quite pleased and satisfied making our visit well worth the experience.

      What a fantastic find!

My wife and I visited here for our anniversary lunch, having made a reservation in advance. We later discovered that it's an "elevated" Mexican restaurant, but looking back, an authentic street Mexican cantina might have been a better choice for us.

We started with chips, salsa, and guacamole as our appetizer. I ordered the Mexican Mule, which I enjoyed, and chose the Arrachera Méxicana con enchilada for my main course. My wife went with the Mayan Margarita and three mini chicken tinga crispy tostadas with a side of Mexican rice. While the drinks were decent, the food didn't quite meet our expectations. It wasn't bad, but given the hype surrounding this place, we were expecting something more. Instead, the dishes were just okay, nothing that really stood out or made a lasting impression.

The ambiance was visually appealing, with vibrant colors and design elements inspired by Mexican culture. The setting was intimate, though a bit on the crowded side. The service was good, but nothing particularly memorable. Despite informing them when creating a reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, there wasn't anything special done to acknowledge our occasion. In the end, the experience felt like an ordinary meal out, rather than a celebration of our special day.

I'm very disappointed with our experience at Tequila Museo Mayahuel given it was just me and my friend who spent nearly $100 for not so great food. The highlight of our lunch was our drinks and chips with salsa and guacamole. WOW... that should say a lot. On the other hand, our small plates and main entree were lacking so much flavor and barely tasted like it was seasoned/marinated.

The drinks we got were Mango Y Chile (on the rocks) & La Flor. I'm not a huge tequila fan but this drink is allowing me to have a change of heart. Chamoy, you can never go wrong with and the agave gave it a hint of sweetness. My friend enjoyed the La Flor and the taste of hibiscus along with a slight spice from the jalapeño were different but good different! Chips were salted and thick providing a great crunch when using to dip into the salsa + Guac. By the way, Guac was seasoned well! Loved it!!!

For our meal we ordered Brochetas de Chorizo Y Queso (small plate) and Carne de Puerco en Salsa Verde (entree). Coming out to our table they looked delicious! After a few minutes of us tasting everything it was unfortunately subpar. The chorizo had some tough parts (unappetizing to me) which I had to spit out. This made my dining experience unpleasant and wished the cheese could've been more present. Seemed almost nonexistent. The pork for the entree was very tender, however, didn't taste like much. Salt would've gone a long way here! Rice just seemed like white rice not necessarily Spanish rice. My friend said it reminded her of minute rice. :(

Lastly, we ended our meal with a dessert. We've both had flan before so we opted for Imposible. Man, this dessert was a disgrace. The flan itself was very gelatinous and broke down in my mouth like extra firm tofu. It even looked like tofu!!! Chocolate cake near the bottom half I couldn't even get past and I like chocolate. It tasted too firm and gummy.

Sadly, this is not a place I'd recommend nor come back to. I hope it was an off day for the restaurant and others have a better experience than we did. I still can't get over how much we spent on this food when I can get stuff for half the price at a mom and pop restaurant.

Not really what i expected. I've heard so many good things about this place and i was happy to finally visit but i was left underwhelmed.
The service was ok. Didn't have reservations and it was around 8ish i think. We were able to get a table for 2 with no problem.

It took a while for the server to come and when he did it seemed like he was distracted. Whatever we ordered our drinks and food. About 10mins later our food came out. That was a shocker cause it only took 10mins and our drinks haven't even arrived yet.

I ordered tacos they were pretty decent. Nothing too special. He ordered enchiladas. Wasn't to wowed nothing to rave about. With all the raves i heard just expected more to it but i guess it makes sense to have premade meats in food heater ready to assemble for the flavoring. I just expected more wow.
I also ordered their version of chocoflan and sadly the cake part tasted like it absorbed the onions in the fridge.

The food was amazing as always. If you haven't tried the pistachio mole, please do so! Great vegan menu. The drinks were great too. The service was great and the ambiance is always perfect.

What a great experience. The decor and ambience are great although I would have like that the primary bar had more warm lighting. Service was spectacular and our server took great care of us and provided superb recommendations. Highly recommend to try the small 6 bites of Mexico.

What an experience! The mole made with pistachios was incredible. The Braiden chicken was cooked to perfection. The mango cake was a great way to finish the night.

Cocktails were on point and well crafted. I am not much a fan of mezcal but my drink was super well balanced and delicious. Overall, go and give it a try. This is a great spot in the Sac area.

I'm not from around here, but I saw the reviews and it was very close to my hotel so I went for lunch. I saw a cool sampler platter Yelp photo and ordered that along with a shrimp salad that was recommended to me by the waiter. The sampler was a lot smaller than I thought, but good. The shrimp came in an interesting curry like chipotle sauce. Very nice shrimp. I also got the vegan menu smoothie. It was like a cocktail, interesting. Overall Was a good business lunch meal where you aren't totally asleep for the afternoon work hours.

My favorite place just to have the delicious and mouth watering cocktail, the mango chile! It's sweet and a little spicy in flavors. You'll just have to trust me and order a few! We stopped here for a cocktail before bar hopping to our next spot hence why we only had chips and salsa. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We sat outside on the patio and she checked on us often. We'll have to come back and try the food next time! But the mango chile..... my favvvvvv and you can't even taste the tequila but it's in there! Enjoy!

Came up to try out the Dine Downtown 2024 experience.
A wonderful casual spot with friendly staff and efficient service.
Food and drinks were visually pleasing and the flavors and taste matched.
We enjoyed a great variety of selections from the menu and each one was a delight.
We especially loved the house made chips and salsa paired with the guacamole. This is a must.
Drinks were a delight with most packing just enough alcohol and little ice which made the purchase very satisfying.
Portions were a bit smaller and geared towards a single person. The overall meal was satisfying.
Check this wonderful place out and enjoy a wonderful meal and drink.
