I've been waiting 5 weeks to receive my new Model Y. The issue I've had with this dealership is that they told me my car would arrive the 15th-30th, the 20th-30th, the 22nd- 30th, 25th -30th, then finally I received notification to schedule an appointment for a pickup on the 27th. I called the store and spoke to a representative who confirmed my appt to pick up my car. That day, I sold my current vehicle to make space for the new Tesla. Later that day, I got a notification they needed to move my appt to the 28th. I was already upset at this point because I spoke to the employee and told him I wanted to minimize my time without a vehicle, hence why I confirmed the appt. But apparently they only "confirm, but may cancel appointments", something they failed to tell me BEFORE I sold my car. The next day, they rescheduled for the 29th. I called them that night and they said there was an 80% chance I'd get my car the 30th. Then they rescheduled again for the 30th at 530pm. The next morning, they called and said my car was still en route and was slightly delayed so they moved my appt from 530pm pickup to 930pm (they close at 8pm, weird) but I confirmed I could pick it up late. 2 hours before my appointment, they called and said "you can either buy a car from our lot (not matching the configuration I ordered) or else you will not get your car for another two weeks". WTF?!?! What happened to my car that was en route?!?! A day delay, sure. But how did it go from my car being en route, to suddenly a 14 day delay?!

And through all of this, their communication is TERRIBLE. It takes multiple phone calls to get through to a human and 50% of the time, it just rings and rings (I guess they just stop answering phones when they don't feel like it). When you text them, they do respond, however it's the most generic responses, like an automated AI response, or from a call/text support center in China. They don't even read or respond properly to the questions/concerns and give out the same generic responses.
When I asked them if they could provide me a loaner car (which I feel is deserving considering their employee told me my car would be ready the 27th initially, and who I informed I would be selling my current car to make space for, never mentioned it was apparently a "maybe appointment?" Whatever that is) they refused.

It's also very odd that I still have not been assigned a VIN number. From my understanding, the factory is supposed to assign me a VIN once the car is manufactured then en route to me. The dealership informed me they offload the new arrival vehicles and then they assign VIN numbers. This leads me to believe that the dealership is giving people preferential treatment, giving friends & family new cars first before customers who have been waiting longer. It makes me think they gave away my car to someone else. How else could my car go from being "en route" to now a "14 day delay"?!?! It's the only thing that makes sense.

Honestly I'm so incredibly frustrated with Tesla and Tesla Colma. Their lack of communication, inability to stick to a schedule that THEY set, broken delivery day promises, irregular responses, and ineptness of keeping a customer informed of the developments of a 60k$ car order.

I'll be calling Tesla corporate tomorrow to complain and see about getting my car directly from the Fremont factory because Tesla Colma is running a really shady business.

Bought my second car from here this week - everything went perfectly thanks to Jason assisting me with pickup, outstanding service

There is not much to say, but my friend came in to pick up her car and asked how to use the Tesla as it was her first time and the worker there said "I'm off" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! And he said he would pass her to another coworker and no one showed up as she just sat inside the car.

She also asked for a long range and the worker said short and long range is the same... like.....

Jason is the man!! Not sure how this place has bad reviews. Bunch of sissy's. The process can be confusing at times but just ask for help or head on in to the site!

Stay away from Tesla but especially this place. I ordered the car online. After A MONTH I finally got my loan rejected with no explanation. I called for more info and waited on the phone for 4 HOURS!! Finally they answered and said they'll review my loan. Magically the next day my car is available. How long was it just sitting in their lot? Within a week the car completely falls apart. No camera, no nav, locks us out. They says I need to wait 3 weeks to get it fixed. Finally I convinced them to tow the car. No word from the dealership on what's going on with my car. Tesla is GARBAGE

Johnny in the delivery department very helpful all the steps to picking up my vehicle was patient and kind and I really appreciate that. It went another way to take care of me. thank you guys so much

Came here for our first test drive and had a great experience. You can conveniently book a test drive appointment online. When you show up, a sales associate will get your license details and have you sign a waiver, then they get you situated in a car, show you how everything works, and off you go. When you bring back the car, you just return the key to any sales associate, they make sure you understand how the ordering process works and see if you have any other questions, then you're on your way. Love the sales model here - no pushy car salesman, no one has an ulterior motive, and everything is user friendly. The Tesla driving experience is unlike any other - more computer than an actual car it seems like but we can easily get used to the high tech.
