Food is very tasty and freshly prepared . I go here often as they have a great variety for to go also . Would highly recommend .

This spot has been a local favorite in the Evergreen area for Thai takeout. Back in the day, it was purely a takeout only model but now -- they have tables and seats for indoor dining.

During our most recent visit, we shared a lunch that included Chicken Yellow Curry with Pineapple + Jasmine Rice, Papaya Salad (only Thai style available), and a Pad Thai. No complaints with our small spread for two to share. The Yellow Curry was sweet and savory with generous amounts of protein, vegetables, and pineapple (a must for me in curry). The papaya salad was refreshing but didn't have any hints of the strong fish sauce or fermented fish sauce taste -- if you know, you know. The Pad Thai was made to order and came out piping hot straight from the kitchen wok. We enjoyed everything and dined in.

Most dishes are already prepared and can be ordered for takeout almost immediately. The only exception are the dishes that require stir frying from the wok (i.e., Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, etc.)

The lady running the front of the house was extremely sweet too. Keep up the momentum y'all -- we all love the concept!

i got the pad thai (mild) i appreciate that they separated the peanuts and bean sprouts. the noodles were delicious! seasoned and cooked perfectly! overall a good place for thai when you're in a rush/for to-go

Thai Elephant Express has been in this plaza for years while other restaurants come and go.

Small and cozy restaurant.

Pre-made food on a steam table. I love their garlic chicken. Creamy, light panang sauce with basil.

Their Tom Yum Soup is pretty delicious as well. Their noodles are usually fresh made when you order so it takes a little time to prepare.

They do have a few tables for dine-in. But mostly, it's to take out.

Overall, 3.5 stars.

Came here with a group of friends after eastridge it's one of our go to places after. The parking might be difficult on a weekend. I recommend parking across the street near Target.

You pay at the front they prefer cash but also accept credit card. They call your order shortly after ordering around 10 minutes or you can order online for take out.

I love their pad Thai and pad see-ew it's super tasty and the portions are decently large. The cost is around 20 dollars for either dish. They provide free water if you sit in. You can adjust the spiciness to any level low, medium , high spice I prefer medium spicy.

Definitely a place to come try if you're craving Thai food and around San Jose!

There's seating indoors but we always order Togo. You're allowed to sit there while waiting for you order though.

My South Bay friends swears by this place! They usually order only Basil fried rice to go and the portion is really big too!
This time I came and wanting to order something different as well. So I ordered the chicken massaman curry and tamarind fish and of course the basil fried rice. The curry and fish was okay, it was a little underwhelming since the fish was really cold, and the curry was a little sweet. But the Basil fried rice was solid per usual.

Overall, I really like how fast they cook the food, and I would recommend getting the Pad se ew or the basil fried rice here!

Thai Elephant is my to-go to spot in SJ for some yummy Thai comfort food. I have been coming here for over 9+ years!

It's a great grab and go takeout spot when you want some quick quality food. There is limited seating inside so I recommend coming here when you're trying to go a picnic or ordering dishes to bring home to the family.

When you first go in, you can see an array of Thai food selections such as soups, protein, and vegetables. On top of the counter, there should be a menu that lists additional options such as their Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice and more. Heads up if you order the items on the menu, it is going to take them some time to make it fresh for you, unlike the already made food in the case. I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes when it's busy.

My recommendations for food is the Tamarind fish, Tom kha, and I am currently obsessed with their basil fried rice. The fish is sweet and has a good umami flavor, perfect to pair with rice. The Tom kha is creamy, light, and flavorful. When you order items in the case, you can choose what serving sizes you want and there are different associated prices for them.

The basil fried rice was so aromatic and flavorful. I used to get their Pad Thai and while it is still delicious, the basil fried rice blew it out of the water! Something I like about Thai Elephant too is that you can always adjust spice levels in their items on the menu, so if you can't handle spice like me, you'll be just fine.

Good for the price and most of the time you can get two meals per serving. Pad Thai is so flavorful with a nice sweetness and sour to balance it out from the lime. I like their Pad see ew too. Haven't gotten to try their curries yet.

Service is good and place is a cozy restaurant. There's seating and in a really popular food plaza as well.

Great place to order decently priced Thai food! I called in advance with everything that I wanted to order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. When I got there, I also ordered additional items which are packed right in front of you in containers of your choice. The food was made fresh and the lady who packed my food definitely hooked it up.

They do take card, however, prefer cash.

This place you can order to go however there's also tables for you to sit inside. They have air conditioning and the ambience is relaxed. I would definitely come here again.

Basil fried rice was my favorite! 10/10
