The Block

Pretty sweet spot! Great Petaluma location, with beer garden feel surrounded by food trucks! They have quite the selection of beer here! And a number of food trucks. I was slightly disappointed with the vegan options. It's hot or miss with what food trucks might offer. But the pizza place here, that seems permanently here, made up a vegan pizza for us. And we were quite happy with our vegan pizza and beer! There's plenty of space and seating here, inside bar area and out! Great place for families and I know they hold events here too! Following some food trucks that frequent here and keeping an eye out for vegan specials! I know one has offered the impossible burger in the past! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

A great gathering place! It's a casual indoor venue with an outdoor feel, due to both barn-sized doors are kept open. The breeze was welcome on a hot night. Dillon the bartender is very sweet, helpful, and attentive. One week I opted for the food truck of Mexican food, and another week I had The Block's Lamb Gyro Pizza with tzatziki sauce. Both were delicious.

I happened to be there for the Tuesday eve open mic. The group was so welcoming, and well-organized by the 3x album singer songwriter Domenic Bianco. It was so much fun!

This place rocks and makes Petaluma an even more fun place. Great music and always a fun crowd and you can vibe indoor or outdoor.

So many things I love about The Block!!

1. Perfect place to meet up and bring your DOG!!! Whenever we go (me and my beagle) we meet other dogs and dog lovers! See pics!

2. Pizza Zimas Elote pizza (Mexican street corn) - crema cheese - hot sauce - corn - sooo good!!!

3. Trivia night Thursdays! Fun and I'm not good at it but I try!!

4. $10 mojitos is one of the best prices in town!

I came to the Block for a friend's graduation celebration. We came on a Saturday afternoon.

It wasn't too busy when we first arrived. There are many tables and a few places to get food/drinks from. I opted for a lion's mane mushroom taco and cauliflower and potato taco. The stand was pretty busy and they were making tortillas by hand so there was a bit of a wait.

The tacos themselves were pretty good! My favorite was the mushroom one. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the salsa complimented it nicely. I also got a side of chips (not pictured) which were very crisp.

Live music started playing later in the afternoon which was nice. The ambiance of this place is pretty cool. It's a great place to hang out and get a drink. The food prices are a bit high, but I imagine these are set by the vendors and not by the Block. I will definitely come here again!

I've loved this place and have came to the establishment so many times with friends and family. I have even reserved some tables for a birthday party in two occasions.

Their selection of beer and cocktails is great as well as their food vendors they have outside.

BUT, on this occasion, I will be rating the bar service & customer service provided this past Saturday.

The bartender that served me this past Saturday night was either in a bad mood, or simply lacked customer service. Since I know they have a rotating cocktail menu, I asked what the sweetest cocktail they had (as they were new cocktails I hadn't seen before.) Without saying a word he shrugged and looked at me like I had just offended him.

It had caught me so offguard, and which I just decided to get your typical sex on the beach cocktail. I am so glad I wasn't the only one who saw this behavior/attitude, as my good friend and her son had witnessed this interaction.

Anyways, besides this recent interaction, this is how I view their establishment overall:

Food options : 7/10 (When food options are open)
Service : 50/50 (You never know what you're gonna get.)
Ambiance: 8/10 ( They have some good live music on some weekends, as well as great seating with fireplaces.)

my first time at the block last night for the open mic. The sense of community there was wonderful, very supportive and loving! had a great time, plenty of room to dance. Nice people with a great host. I had margaritas and they were very, very good. The service was great and I plan on coming back. if wanting to eat, I recommend looking at the online menu prior since it's dependent on which food truck will be there on any given night.

Met with a friend to check out the Block Petaluma, and the ambiance did not disappoint. It wasn't overcrowded even though it was the weekend! There were plenty places to park, and sit in the beer garden. Indoor/bar area had heaters, but we chose to get a little sun outside. Zimi's Pizza is a cute little walk-up window where you order, and they have hella bomb wood fire pizza and calzone options. I chose veggie calzone -- it was warm, cheesy, filled with artichokes, mushrooms, and bell peppers! The staff were friendly and the vibes were nice. Great place to catch up with friends! What's not to love!

Was so delicious, best seasoned and homemade tortillas and sauces effing ever.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon for a causal drink and catch up with some friends. I always love coming here to hangout and enjoy the chill vibe! The bartenders are super friendly and I automatically noticed that the bar area seemed to have gotten a remodel since the last time I had been here. There was a new cocktail menu with fun and unique drinks--which I always love! My friends and I spilt the "elote pizza" and as for cocktails, I tried the "you're my boy blue". Can't wait to come back to try more of their new drink menu!

My friends and I truly used to love coming here. Trivia nights are fun and I loved the chicken gyros- btw where did they go? The last few times I've been here it's only pizza basically. I think the 'Block-tails' are delicious and the name is clever. But I beg of you: please make this a 21+ only establishment. When walking through the deck area, I am constantly looking down in fear that a feral child is going to run into me and cause my drink to spill. When sitting at the picnic tables/ benches I am being bounced up and down by children running back and forth completely unsupervised. The last time I visited, there were more children under the age of 10 than adults! It is just getting a bit out of hand? Considering it is a bar and not a playground.... I don't understand the logic of allowing kids under 21 here
