I wanted to update my review and compliment Jade for her patience and professionalism. We have been using Cal Agents for property management for the past few years, and our experience has been significantly better than with our previous company. Currently, we need a plumbing repair at a rental. A retired plumber friend of mine believes it's a quick fix, while the plumbers who have assessed it think it's a larger job. Going back and forth has not been easy.

Jade has been incredible throughout this challenging situation. She has remained patient and professional, consistently following up promptly and ensuring nothing is overlooked. I highly recommend working with Jade.

Run away and look elsewhere. As one of the reviews below mentions, the goal of this company is to take as much as they can from tenants - watch out, avoid, and look somewhere else to find your rent.

It's been over a year since I updated my review last and I've done more business with these folks, so it's time to show my appreciation again!
With Lex and Nikki's help, in January 2023 I bought my dream home in the Oakland hills. I couldn't have bought it without their advice, contacts, and vision. Again they helped me find a lender who would work with my atypical financial profile (I own a business and don't show much income) and another lender to give me a bridge loan until I sold my house. I was able to sell my house in Oakland in May 2023 after Lex and Nikki helped me find some contractors and a stager that helped me get a great price.

The team at Cal Agents Realty are top notch and very professional when responding to property maintenance requests, usually scheduled and completed the same day.

Special shout out to their Maintenance Coordinator, Diego Moreas for quickly scheduling a one day repair. He conscientiously followed up my maintenace request phone call with prompt return phone calls and texts, and coordinated the completion of the job to our satisfaction.

I've been renting a property under management of The Cal Agents for a little over a month now, and they have been nothing but professional. Fiona was very helpful during the leasing process at helping me secure an apartment that fit my needs. JJ helped guide me through the move-in process. Lastly, Diego made sure a maintenance problem was promptly fixed.

So far so good. Responsive and asked the right question. They are elite property managers and my experience with them, so far, has been good.

Is this a scam property management firm? I never post reviews but feel this one is warranted. We submitted $80 of applications for a rental property, went to view it and the agent there wasn't anyone who had previously auto replied to my messages, and only received auto responses ultimately when requesting a status update. we were also told the renter is responsible for landscaping and some utilities were shared with other tenants. 0/5 for lack of communication and unprofessionalism.
