I was anticipating the Club SFO opening. I have been twice.
I have two prefaces. The first is I grew up under modest circumstances. I did not even know there were such things as private clubs, other than in movies. I'm not saying this establishment is the equivalent of a posh country club. I just don't want anyone inferring I am accustomed to being treated well at exclusive institutions; I belong to a demographic more likely to have been excluded in order to ensure those places remained exclusive institutions. I would not say airport lounges are democratic. They keep out people, to be a refuge. But they are much more democratic. They do not exclude on the basis of ethnicity or faith or gender, and so on. The second is I have no complaints. This is a perq of a specific credit card. I'm lucky to be able to spend time here. My attitude is to be grateful. Otherwise, you are a bad person and bad things will happen to you because you deserve that.
The Club SFO is in Terminal 1, the Harvey Milk (and kudos to the city for the naming!). They have an Amex Centurion counterpart in Terminal 3, which is either exclusively United or dominated by that carrier. If you are familiar with these offerings, the Club SFO would rank well domestically (there are much more lavish buffets overseas), among the independents. It is on par with the Alaska space, also recently opened, in the same terminal (they moved), but not as fancy as the Amex chain. I plan to stop in whenever I fly JetBlue. They had some Asian breakfast offerings. It is not a full on Japanese breakfast. They had Japanese style scrambled eggs, not the tamago, but the East Asian custard style preparation. They also had a congee stand with scallions and kimchi.
I do have a concern. I may be wrong. Priority Pass and the lounges you can access with it are vague, deliberately so, about whether you are charged. To the best of my understanding, and I believe it would be a violation of consumer protection laws otherwise, you are not here (they'd have to disclose it or have you sign) -- but Priority Pass and the lounges won't ever tell you clearly. I have checked the associated credit card, and I have not seen any fee listed.
The other note is offered in amusement. It is if anything a testament to efficiency. This has happened to me maybe once before in my life, at some sort of buffet restaurant. I got a plate. I set it down. I went to get some juice. During the fifteen seconds I was away, a staff person cleared my plate. Good for him, that he was brisk and wanted the bar where I was seated to be clean and tidy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 26, 20241 check-in
Finally we have a decent Priority Pass lounge in SFO! The entry and check in was smooth. It turned out to be very crowded on the Monday afternoon I was there so all the meeting rooms were already taken (there's a QR code on the tables to reserve them). The selection of food was better than any Priority Pass lounge I've experienced in the US (which is a low bar I know) but still worth celebrating that this is now located in SFO.
Already looking forward to my next trip from Terminal 1!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 19, 20241 check-in
Located in Terminal 1 near the B-Gates, The Club SFO is an above-average pit stop for pre-flight R&R and fuel up. This newly opened lounge has a great atmosphere and interior decorations are a feast for the eyes. I found it cozy during my 1st visit especially when the "fireplace" greeted me upon reaching the top of the stairs.
The Club provides a variety of amenities for a "busy-bee" traveler. There are a lot of private meeting rooms along the far side of the lounge. Fitness-related rooms (i.e. yoga) occupy the wall nearest the bathroom. There is a good amount of dining space with different seating styles/arrangements. A wide bar area seating allows patrons to hunker down and get their necessary liquids for their flight. The themed/named drinks at the bar tasted good to me.
The food options were minimal (for lunch time) but all the items I tried looked freshly prepared with quality ingredients. The veggies had great color and texture. Not mushy at all. I was told that there is additional food options for dinner time.
I believe I stayed at The Club for 1.5 hrs and had a positive experience overall. If I ever have another flight out of Terminal 1, I would highly consider checking out The Club SFO again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 5259437383Aug 15, 20241 check-in
Like that singer, Lizzo said, "it's about damn time!" Finally a lounge for priority pass holders with friendly staffs that won't deny you access. This was my first time at the lounge. I arrived on a Wednesday at 8:38pm and there was a line of about 25 people in front of me. By 8:46pm one of the staffs came out to announce a 15-20 minutes wait. We got to check in at 8:50pm. There were 2 staffs at the check in counter.
Once inside it was about 90% full. Food was decent, but not great. I enjoyed the seasonal soup, though it reminded me of a pasta sauce and I enjoyed the limited dessert they had which was the strawberry shortcake. The brownies were just ok, and the chopped fruits were not all sweet. There was also 2 different salads, carrot coconut curry and rice, orange chicken and broccoli (nothing like Panda Express), portobello and broccoli wrap and slices of bread.
There's also a soda machine and a coffee machine and still water and sparkling water from a tap. I'm glad they don't offer plastic bottled water.
Despite how busy it was, it didn't take long to get a few drinks from the bar. There were several options of wine and cocktails. I've tried the rose, brut and a couple of reds. Unfortunately I didn't like the taste of any of them. Used plates were not cleaned up immediately but eventually they were. By 9:30pm the amount of people have been reduced to about 70% full and when we left at 9:51pm, there was no more line to get inside. Lounge closes at 11:30pm. From terminal 1 we walked to terminal 2 without going through security again.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 14, 20241 check-in
Lounge located in SFO. I was in the international terminal so I had to walk to the other terminal for the lounge.
Upon access, it is very nicely maintained and clean. The lounge was very crowded but thay was expected.
The food options were ok. Nothing stood out to me. There was a nice bar in the center.
There are other amenities like a wellness room and private rooms. I wanted to checkout the wellness room but it was locked and the staff didn't know how to open it.
Bathrooms were cleaned frequently!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 13, 20241 check-in
This lounge was very conveniently located across from my gate. Loved that.
After checking in, we took the escalator up to the second floor, where the lounge was. It was pretty packed, but luckily, we were able to find seats and tables. The tables had used cups and plates, but a staff member came by and cleared them not too long after we sat down. We were in the lounge for about half an hour, and staff members came by a couple of times to clear the tables during that time.
I like that the food was buffet style, meaning you can grab and go and not have to place an order for your food. The food was decent. I liked that they use pre-ground coffee beans in their coffee machine. I got a decaf latte, and it was pretty creamy and good.
Overall, I had a good experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 12, 20241 check-in
The place is very well designed and made. This lounge is far better than the international lounges at sfo.
Tons of seating area. As it's very large, the food gets emptied out pretty quickly, so please try to get your grub as soon as you seen it . The food is pretty decent for an airport lounge . Nothing spectacular to rave about & much better than the food at the club at SJC. The cocktails are decent, would recommend trying their signature offerings
Docking points as the restrooms are not that well maintained, I guess with the large about of seats, they probably need to increase the number of staff.
All in all, a good place to chill till your next flight.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 18, 20241 check-in
Pretty large lounge, I was able to take advantage of the bar, walk up buffet, as well as the workout room. The staff was able to walk me through how to use the lulu lemon studio and I enjoyed how private it was!

The Club is a solid chain lounge though I have my criticisms.
I came in quite early (actually still at SFO now) for my flight to Taiwan. Flying Starlux you're stuck with the Virgin clubhouse lounge and basically they say go kick rocks if you're not 3 hours before the flight.
Most are going to have an Amex and have priority pass... which back in the day was legit. But now you're options are far more limited despite the messages otherwise.
This "The Club" spot has opened super recently so I couldn't say no.
I got zero lip or trials to get in. I did have to try to explain to another person how they could call up their lounge card. I hope they figured it out...
The area is spacious enough but not huge. I have ZERO Idea why they have the lululemon workout areas as a perk.nobody who is about to fly over 10 hours is going to say "I need a workout at the airport!" They'd do that at their hotel or what have you.
They had a nice dining area. As of today the dining on demand wasn't working. They have live stations but nothing rung my bell so to speak.
They also have a bar area. The bartenders are ok. Better than when I was a bartender in college.
It's a solid choice. Certainly needed. I still prefer the centurion lounge if I'm not flying One world or business. But I'd take it over many others.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 2, 2024
3.5 rounded down.
New lounge at terminal 1 SFO. Can access with priority pass so gets a little crowded. There's a small buffet that's primarily vegetarian friendly (wish there was more protein options with food)
Space looks nice, lots of table / seating options, self serve coffee, sparkling water on tap.
Bathroom needed attention - women's restroom ran out of toilet paper and doors were a little hard to lock.
Convenient lounge if you are flying out of terminal 1 or terminal 2Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
