Man, this place is special. 6/5 stars for me

The space is upbeat and relaxing at the same time! Loved what they had on espresso when I stopped in as well. Tried out a tasting flight with one of their coffees brewed three different ways. Safe to say I'm going to be thinking about it for a while...

Huge props to the staff for making such great coffee and crafting such a nice and memorable experience for guests. It isn't just anywhere that you see baristas equally passionate about making high-quality coffee and serving people kindly. This spot is killer. You haven't tasted coffee til you've been here yet.

I saw the line at the Nob Hill location when visiting Chinatown and it was long. Went to check this location out and the line wasn't bad.

Marshmallow (2/5): Idk why I decided to get tea at a coffee shop. I thought this would be sweet like marshmallow, but just tasted like plain tea. I don't think I can make a fair opinion about this place till I try their coffee.

Hopefully I can come here again.

A classic Richmond coffee place! Innovative drinks, above and beyond service, and a chic clean ambiance. There are almost always lines out the door.

Docking a star due to super small coffee sizes, and I don't think that the coffee is mind blowing necessarily. I also wish that there was more seating available. However, the workers are so kind that I think it will keep me coming back. Plus I do eventually want to try their espresso flight...

went on a Sunday around 12:50pm and luckily didn't have to wait in a long line. It was a bit crowded inside and seating was limited but there is some standing space.

      Drinks Ordered:

Tasting Flight - 3 pours of today's feature coffee (10/10): I'm not a huge coffee person and normally cannot drink much without milk & sugar, but this was delightful! As it was from a lighter to darker pour, I found it very easy to drink since it almost had a tea-like aspect to it.

Tasting Flight - one coffee prepared 3 different ways (9/10): we chose the Ethopia beans for this one. I loved the latte art but also the coffee went down quite easily. The glass in the middle was the hardest for me to drink as it was very bitter, but I still thought it was pretty good.

I definitely plan to try one of their seasonal drinks next time!

Although The Coffee Movement is known for their coffee, I grabbed one of their seasonal iced tea drinks - the Earl Greyhound - and I downed it so fast I probably scared some people. It was incredible and inspired me to recreate it (poorly) at home. The floral notes from the elderflower(?) tonic and the tea complemented each other perfectly and they read my mind on the sweetness. There are some seats inside for you to sip on your drink but this was so good that I could've finished mine just walking from the pickup counter to the exit.

There's quite a line in the morning but it lies quick! They have a pretty good system in getting people's order and making the coffee. The place itself is pretty modern with some seating. It's not super small but can be crowded since it's busy. Since it's quite busy not sure I find this a relaxing place to sit and enjoy my morning. Seems more like a grab and go. Coffee itself was delicious!

Love the location and love the coffee !!

I got a vanilla latte that felt perfect to me, it was a bit more on the bitter side so if you like your's sweeter just ask, they're all really nice and super accommodating. My friend got a matcha latte, she felt like it wasn't sweet enough and was actually the one who thought the latte was bitter. Obviously it's not going to be as good as a Japanese shop that specializes in matcha, but it was pretty good! I'd say better than Starbucks.

i love the cute car they have parked out in front and the minimalist interior. They had limited seating when i was there but an amazing neighborhood coffee shop to swing by at.

This place was recommended by our local coffee shop, AM CRAFT.
We ordered a coffee flight, consisting of 3 pours-overs of the day's featured 3 coffees.  The lightest one tasted like a light tea, too light for me.  The second one was acidic with lots of brightness.  The third one was deep but not over burnt, my favorite.

Their pastry was even better than their quality coffee.  Ham and Cheese croissant, Chocolate croissant, Blk sesame Kouign-amann. All were wonderful.

      Would love to come again.

      What I ordered:
      -Cocoa Cappuccino [4/5]
      -Iced Latte [4/5]
      __
I finally had the chance to visit this place earlier this week. It wasn't too crowded; only one person was ahead of me. I tried the cocoa cappuccino and an iced latte, both of which were delicious and clearly high quality. The interior is minimalistic but quite small. The staff were friendly and nice. The only downside is the price--it's pretty pricey, and the cups are small. Despite this, I still recommend giving this place a try!

My husband ordered the slow drip and I ordered the vanilla rosemary latte here and we both agreed that our drinks were exceptional! If you're more particular about your coffee, I'd say that this place is worth the try. For the slow drip, you could really taste the different notes of the coffee and the description that they gave for it was pretty on point. The latte was one of the best I've had in a while, and for those who care, the latte art was on point. One thing though is that some of the drinks here are pricey!! I don't remember the exact prices, but the slow drip was around $10 which is pretty steep for a smaller ish sized cup. Service here was really friendly. The store itself is aesthetic and I think it would be a great place to work or study.

Overall, if you're looking for great coffee and willing to spend for it, this place is definitely worth the try! This place is a 5-star place based on the quality of everything, but I'm lowering it a star because of the price point.
