    • Q:

Do you have to share the room with other people? Or can you book it just for your group- 4 people?

      A:

I think you can book it only for your party for extra fee, but I had a party of 4 and we were joined by two other couples, which was still fun.

We did the Depths with 6 adults. We were paired with 2 other players. We made it out with about 5-10 min and needed 2 hints. I think the room is best designed for 5-6 players.

Will say this escape room was a breath of fresh air with novel technology & visually stimulating sets.

Hands down the best escape room I've done in the New York area. The puzzles are fairly non linear. Some novel technology and minimal use of padlocks. The story was mediocre but the visually appealing sets helped to make up for it.

Did the Timeliner escape room with my friends and had a positive experience.

There are a lot of options in terms of themes of rooms ranging in difficulty. It is a standard escape room in the sense you get an hour, but here, they did unlimited hints compared to the normal 3. The room we did was super immersive and made us think a lot. It was a fun room to do, we escaped with 15 minutes left. Would definitely recommend and plan on coming back.

      Updated review

I finally got around to doing The Depths and Timeliner: Train Through Time, so I just wanted to update my review on those two rooms. The Depths is currently my favorite room at the NYC location, and Timeliner is in between Playground and Gold Rush!

      The Depths
This room had less enthusiastic ratings from friends who have done it before, but my low expectations were heavily exceeded. I liked the room because I am a science teacher, and I felt like I had many great "solves" in this room. This room probably has my favorite puzzles of the franchise so far. I was trying to figure out how to put the differences in words, and the best I can come up with is that it's more based on pattern observation than object manipulation. One of the top things that stood out about this room was that my friend and I could work concurrently on tasks, and we didn't get bottlenecked. The ending can be stressful with 2 people, but we made it work!

      Timeliner: Train Through Time
I really liked the concept of Timeliner, especially the immersive experience with our names on the train ticket. For me, I wish they were less ambitious with the time periods so they could make each separate room/era more immersive. Call me traditional, but I wasn't a big fan of looking at screens. My advice to you in this room is that order matters :) My friend absolutely loved this room, but she also contributed to more puzzles and felt more successful. We do want to add that one of the last puzzles should be a little easier to manipulate in terms of room design; my friend's hand hurt like crazy after it.

We played the Depths with just two people. I think we were a bit overwhelmed with everything and could've used more time. I appreciated the unlimited hints which we really needed in order to get through the first room. Sadly as escape room novices, we barely made it to the second room before our time ran out. It was definitely a fun experience and required a lot of thinking outside the box.

We attended a team-building event at an escape room where we took on the jailhouse breakout challenge, and it was a blast. The fun began as our team divided into two groups, Cell One and Cell Two. We had to collaborate through the walls to escape our cells and eventually, as one large group, break out of the jailhouse completely. With just four minutes to spare, we managed to escape. It was an incredible team-building exercise, and we're eager to return to this location to try out different escape room themes.

Definitely surprised at how much fun I had at the Escape Game. My group came for a 3pm reservation, but didn't get started until 3:40. It was fine for the time being as we were busy talking amongst ourselves, but then we felt rushed to start the game. We chose the hardest game - Prison Break- and ended up finishing the game with 16 minutes left. The host of the game was nice and helpful throughout the entire time, and explained all the rules to us. It was definitely challenging, but definitely got closer to the people I came with. For sure a great team bonding experience.

Loved this place! It's great for team bonding, birthday parties, and some good old fashion fun with your friends! The rooms are challenging, exciting, and with each clue comes a new thrill.

Our group of 7 did 'The Depths' and got out with seconds to spare! After escaping, our game host gave us a tour of other rooms and even offered a discount if we book again! Thanks Michael for a fantastic experience! Can't wait to come back

First time at any escape game and man I had such a great time!

Came here on a trip to NYC because one of my friends said it was a very good place with a lot of good reviews and we've also been meaning to do one of these for a while.

      10/10 recommend

They had a late policy of 5 minutes after which you would have to reschedule and we were 6 minutes late. The staff was nice about it but the other group that was supposed to go along with us was not very cooperative. So we just let them go and rescheduled for the evening. The guy working there was super nice and even give us a 30% refund for all the trouble.

We did the Gold Rush and it was so so good! Just 5 of us but we had at blast.
Spent a little extra time on some of the challenges so we didn't make it to the end. But we were super close. Really really unexpected challenges but it was so so so fun! What unique challenges in all of them as well.

Totally recommend coming here. And I can see why there are all five star reviews!

This is definitely the best escape room spot I have been to in Manhattan! It is super conveniently located right next to Grand Central and walkable from Bryant Park.

The rooms here are very well thought out, high tech, and fully immersive. It is obvious that there was a lot of attention to detail - the puzzles are cleverly a mix of being thorough with discovering things, using analytical reasoning skills (read: math), and leveraging teamwork from beginning to end. There are so many interactive components, so definitely use your wits and think outside of the box with all of the puzzles. The more diverse your group is, the better!

Overall, the staff are very pleasant and friendly as soon as you walk in. They will explain the concept to first-timers and someone will walk you to your designated room to review the do's and don'ts of the game. You have unlimited clues throughout the 60 minutes if you choose to use them. Interestingly and unlike any other escape room I had done previously, they also let you use your smartphones throughout the experience to take photos. I have done Special Ops: Mysterious Market and Gold Rush so far, but excited to come back and do more rooms soon!

This place is pretty solid, packed with tech and moving parts, high production cut scenes, very well worth it. Came here on a Thursday morning for one of the first games and got $10 off. A party of 5 for the special ops room was pretty good and was a conformable amount. We finished the room with 15 mins left to spare and were kept on our toes the entire tire day. Would definitely recommend this spot.
