They came to my neighbor's house and worked on their yard and left a mess in front of my driveway.

I saw them cleaning up and was going to ask them if they were going to sweep up the dirt and debris but thought that would be rude. I was naive enough to think that they are professional and would clean up the mess they left behind. Obviously I was wrong.

Lanna, the owner, is fantastic. She takes her time to understand what the client is trying to accomplish. Then she comes back with suggestions and ideas - all provided with her expert knowledge, but in a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere.

You can not go wrong by working with her - especially when it comes to succulents!

Had some communication snafus, and I get the sense that she prefers to work with higher-end clients, but her work is lovely.

Lana is an example of someone who loves what she does, and it shows. I've seen her work and made comparisons with other landscape artists. That being said, I never actually hired her for a project but for a consultation. As a DIY guy, I needed ideas on how to transform my yard into something more attractive. She definitely gave me some good advice and have since completed the project. I never forgot how helpful she was, not only with advice on design but with her connections to other people. One of her clients was trying to get rid of a redwood swing set. She made the connection and I was able to pick it up, restore it and use it for my 3 yr old. She had no obligation to do this, but she did it anyway. Keep in mind, this was my first and last interaction with her. If I ever need a project completed, she's at the top of my list

If you are looking to spruce up the garden, and you live in any of San Francisco's microclimates, check out the GARDENista. Lana and her team do a great job. We needed to clean up the yard and put in new plants to get things looking snappy before we sold our house. Lana and team came in and quickly got everything looking great. I almost didn't want to sell after seeing how nice and welcoming our yard (front and back) could be.
