The Gym

The Gym is a great gym. I love the fact that it has metal plates, it's clean, and the atmosphere of the gym is full of friendly people. 10/10

1. Why are you hiding behind an anonymous number? This is the only review you posted besides the one trainer you blasted by name.

2. You are lumping all trainers into one bad experience. I go to this gym, I have a personal trainer that I love and respect. He has my personal goals in mind and is the most positive person I have met and who will lift you up with positive energy and words of encouragement. He is the picture of professionalism. The other trainers I talk to both male and female are all the same, professional and positive people who have their clients best interest in mind. You need to tailor your complaint to the person you have a problem with. Not The Gym and all trainers.

3. Did you go to the owner with your concerns regarding this one trainer? If not why? Do you think random hate speech and false accusations are the way to fix a problem? Maybe you are part of the problem.

4. As far as "bitchy" women, not everyone's personality is going to mesh and if a woman in the gym gave you attitude, maybe you should look in the mirror - your attitude towards everyone is pretty bad. I probably would have snubbed you too, and I was raised to find something nice to say to everyone I meet because you never know what personal struggles they are facing.

Be carful who you trust, salt and sugar look the same.

Tim Mansouri, he is a white man, 50 years old blonde hair with a ponytail; he is being trained by Rob Vela and is advertising his services at The Gym. Exercise caution if you engage in business with him as he allegedly uses unclean needles and lacks sanitary practices. A personal encounter with his Botox treatment resulted in my eye drooping and twitching, with no concern shown when I informed him. His establishment is called Captive Wellness. Kindly share this information within The Gym community.

I truly believe that this is a special place to be!
Today I had the most awesome workout at The Gym as I love to do functional workouts, free weights and machines. I have everything right there at my fingertips which helps my workouts get done quickly. I really love being around people who truly care about working out as I have been in gyms since I was 19 and now I am in my mid 50s. It is difficult to find a gym atmosphere that has everything you want, great membership price and really cool people from the members to the people that work there. I even love that this gym is 24 hours so I can leave my house at 4AM and know that there are people there working out or 5PM and there still being room to get in and grab a great workout. I pretty much have been in gyms my entire life and I haven't come across a place that has everything that I want and need plus the atmosphere.
CJ the owner, has every machine in working order and as items get worn out, he is consistently swapping them out. There has been quite a bit of expansion that just recently happened too with more machines, I never get bored with my workouts and always creatively changing them up from doing agility workouts with cones, fit ball, rope, boxing bags, and then the free weights and machines.
What I have found to be fun too is that there are tanning beds. My hubby and I started our tan this year with a few times in the tanning bed, that totally brings me back to the 80s/90s when tanning beds were massively big and everywhere.
A funny story, Jeff and I, my hubby have been at the gym now for about a year... but 20ish years ago we were working out at CJs place, The Gym all the way up to us having our first child Jacob. I was working out then up til the last workout which was the day that I went into the hospital to have our first baby, Jacob. AND yes, he was full term. We didn't come back until 20 years later since we built an incredible home gym. Now that both of our kids are so independent we decided to venture out back to The Gym and use our home gym when we decide to have a quick workout and then gather dinner together with the family together.
Appreciate you CJ ad the crew you have brought around you with the fabulous customer. Jeff and I call these nights that we workout at The Gym our date nights as we get to giggle just as much as we did 20+ years ago PLUS be in a place that really supports our lifestyle, working out and staying young. :-)

I can't recommend this gym enough. The place is always clean and has everything you need to train, CJ is a really nice guy who is constantly cleaning and getting things done. Only been there for a month but totally worth it and will be extending my membership indefinitely.

After spending several year playing in the NFL, I've belonged/joined many gyms over the years. My experience at THE GYM was the absolute worst new membership experience ever. I recently had a total hip replacement and needed a place to continue my rehab. After going to therapy at Results PT next door and waiting in my car for 45 mins( as membership inquiries don't start until 12:00). I walked in and asked for a tour of the facility. I then asked you use the restroom before we started, again after waiting in my vehicle almost an hour. I was told only if you sign up. I asked if he was kidding.....He said no you can't use the restroom unless your a member. You'll have to go to Jack n the Box on the corner. I said no I won't I'll just got back to the PT clinic. I then asked a 2nd time if he was kidding and if it was worth losing a paying membership over his attitude. He said he didn't care. At the time of this writing the yearly dues are approx $600. You have a choice where you spend your money. There are plenty of iron piles in Sacramento. I won't spend mine here and I don't suggest you don't either.

Best gym I've ever been to. All fitness levels welcomed, kind and passionate environment, that still leaves space for high level powerlifters and body builders. Never seen an environment like it. I believe it has to do with the care and passion of the owners and trainers who are normally there. Been going here for six months and have absolutely nothing bad to say except if I ever have to move out the area I will never be able to find a gym that comes close to what I've experienced here.

Great gym, been going there for a few months now. It has expanded a little bit so there is a lot a space. Even with the parking lot full the gym doesn't feel crowded. The owner is around a lot so most broken equipment gets dealt with quickly. Love that it is 24 hour access as well.

The owner CJ is there almost all the time everyday ,he's helpful and friendly and always makes sure the gym is clean and machine is wiped down .CJ is constantly walking around and making sure the place is clean .
Its a month to month contract witch is amazing .
Sadly I had to leave because it's far from me and needed something closer but I 10/10 recommend this gym to anyone willing to drive or just looking for a new gym to join .

Fantastic place! I'm only disappointed in the fact that I wasted so many years going to 24 hour with my family when so could've been doing my own thing here and seeing results I wanted. I felt so much pressure by others at other gyms to be or look a certain way but The Gym is so much different! There is such a great feeling of respect for one another since the small amount of people here are looking for the same goal while not being so lax like other gyms and having pizza night...
I had to move to NY recently and selfishly saved this review for my Exodus since I didn't want it to start filling up too much. The owner runs a clean and tight ship here. Definitely go, you won't regret it.
