Habit Burger & Grill

The food was prepared fresh. The service is quiet since you need to just go to the kiosk. The ambiance is very casual. Would return.

I know the IN N OUT line is long, but seriously go there instead.

The service here is AWFUL. Waited 30 mins and other people who ordered after me were receiving their food. They don't call our numbers and just throw orders on the table with customers having to ask the staff if it's their order.

My bf and i requested a refund and when the manager eventually came out, we were told that it was a long process for a refund. So we ended up having to wait even longer for them to make our food because it felt like that was our only option.

Yeaaaaah, safe to say I'm not going to the habit anymore.

This location is always dirty and incredibly slow. The staff is always preoccupied on their phones and joking amongst themselves and the food is always cold.

Today was the last straw! I have never witnessed such a bizarre and gross display of "customer service." The manager, Alejandro, went out of his way to be rude and disrespectful to my sister. She ordered food at the kiosk, after all of the staff (on their phones) ignored her as she stood at the register. After ordering, we waited about thirty minutes for the food to arrive. A staff member asked for proof of payment, she showed it on her phone, yet he still wouldn't give her the order. The manager, Alejandro, again asked for proof of payment. She again showed proof. The manager took the order that he placed on the counter and walked away with it. He returned and told my sister to leave the store. She asked for the food that she paid for, and he told her "I tried to give you the food and you didn't want it- so leave!" She asked for a refund and he told her to give him her credit card info and she might receive a refund in 3-6 days. Of course she refused.

For no reason at all, Alejandro refused to give my sister her paid order AND refused a refund. He then decided to ignore her to talk to another employee that walked in reeking of marijuana and visible high.

Essentially, he STOLE her money! Alejandro insisted she leave the store and even seemed entertained as another customer decided to interject herself into the conversation. He refused to give her a number for HR.

The fact that there are multiple reviews here detailing similar experiences with the same manager shows that those in charge of this location do not care. I will never spend another penny at any Habit location.

I like The Habit burgers and this is the first time at this location. It's pretty much the same as all the others. Ordering from their kiosk was easy, food came out pretty quickly, and burger was really good. The burger tastes like it was just made, with crispy (not wilty) lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. Fries are good - not as crispy as McD's but crispier than In-n-Out.

I was here in Alameda, looking around near the "tube" that you drive under the water and go to and from Oakland, and I saw that there's a Habit burger right near here. It's located in a newish shopping center right next to a Panda Express.

I do love me a Double Charburger with cheese and add those free grilled onions! I ordered and my order was up quick. I specifically asked that the cheese be melted, cause I've had problems with getting cold cheese slices before.

The burger came out and the cheese was melted! The rest of the burger was assembled nice and the grill onions were added as asked. Here's a tip on eating one of these fab burgers. To get more of the grilled charburger taste, just eat the burger with the meat side down on the bottom as you stick that burger in your mouth! Yeah, eat it flipped upside down. That way the meat will hit your tongue first and that wonderful char burger flaver will fill you mouth better. Try it both ways, you'll taste the difference!

Tonight's experience was top-notch. Burger was cooked fresh and exactly as I requested. Fries were done extra crispy, as requested. Service was fast and friendly. Dining room was as clean as can be expected. No vagrants living in the restaurant or outside on the tables. As always, convenient free parking.

The guy in the frier was arguing with the manager and I guess everyone had to pay for this.. they gave very little fries unfortunately I noticed back home this meal was 20$ I was expecting a little bit more fries .. imma give 2 stars cause of the delicious chipotle sauce they give very good.

The food is good but can be better. I really don't know if it was sauce that needed a level up or something. All put together it gives you a good burger; smoky which I like.
Went with the half order of fries and onion rings. A drink and an original charburger with cheese. I ordered via the app and I was told my food is ready. When I got inside, the staff member seemed to be lost and started to ask people where my order was.
Didn't know what was the problem but my order was sitting in the side.
Ketchup seems to be the only sauce to go along with banana peppers, jalapeños, and yellow pepers.
The inside is okay, it was clean and not many people for the middle of the weekday during lunchtime.
I would like more deals for me to come back.

I would like to try the teriyaki burger and the lemonades.

Good Morning I order my salad on the kiosk. Kick and easy.
I went and got ice and water for the day.
Before I knew it he was calling me my fresh salad had been made.
Very war customer service. He was funny joking with his employees. The energy was amazing.
Thank you habit for making my delicious salad.

Wasn't our first dining choice today but was an open choice on Dec 26 - still the Christmas Holiday.

Was aiming to go to Famous Dave's just around the corner. We get there. Doors are locked and and says something like 'short staffed takeout only.' Great. So there we are standing out in the rain in front of their locked door wondering what next.

Habit is just around the corner and is one of the next closest restaurants. I'd say its similar to Nations in many ways - but the food quality and ambiance is much much better. Unique sides and more comfortable yet no formality or extra time wasted with servers.

Right as you enter you immediately put in your order in on one of the many self serve tablets. If you prefer to talk to somebody there is that too - but you might wait for a person or two first.

I had a chicken burger. It had bacon and avocado and on toast bread. I thought it had a great taste - and no strange flavors or over salted like you can sometimes get elsewhere. Chicken tasted pure and without unnecessary preservatives. It was pure chicken and just enough flame broil taste.

Interesting sides like Tempura green beans and cauliflower makes the experience much better and differentiates this restaurant from many of the others that just serve fries. If you have a chicken avocado burger and vegetable sides I'm sure its much better for you than the typical burger joints.

The ambiance was modern, clean and comfortable. Booths added to the comfort and experience. Very cozy to sit along a wall in a booth rather than on a table in the middle with foot traffic buzzing behind and around you.

Drink options were great too. There was fresh tea and some lemonade type fruity stuff along with all the regular soda options.

Overall a great experience tonight. Enjoyed it and will be back.
