      NOT JUST A PLAYGROUND!!!!!

If you go towards the water you have one of the BEST views of Manhattan. You're between the two bridges and get such an awesome view, the river on the shoreline, and they have great steps/area to sit and hang out.

Would be a great spot to sit and have a picnic at sunset or after. Many people hanging out, listening to music, eating their dinner. Beautiful area and hasn't gotten a lot of attention like the park on the other side of the Brooklyn bridge.

Plenty of kids (likely those coming after school ). Ship themed with a small boat for a sand box. No restroom but Time Out is nearby for that purpose. Bench seating surrounds the playground for parents and caregivers to relax. Overall a solid place for lids to run. Jane's Carousel is a few mins walk away

Yet another beautiful NYC playground. This one is well maintained, spacious and has something for kids of all ages and abilities. The bonus here are the beautiful bridge views.

The entire space is gated. There are plenty of benches around to take a break. Wish it stayed open slightly later in the summer (closes at 8pm and you will get kicked out).

      First to Review

How do you not love the NYC Parks systems? They have a standard formula and then tweak it to accommodate the location and size of the space. Most of them have a "big kid" bunch of equipment and a "small kid" bunch too. If you have kids you know what I mean and if you don't why are you really reading a review about a playground?!

This playground is well maintained and quite large. The size is what gives me pause on rating it 5 stars b/c you can easily lose track of one of your kids if you're not tracking them with GPS. There are a fair share of elevated equipment which the kiddos love, but it's just high enough for an elevation, but low enough to smack your head on if you're over 5'7" - OUCH. Add in the fact that there are two exits/entrances and you really need to be hands on and have no more than 2 kids with you (yes, I'm talking to you mr. I'm just checking my email leave me alone dad).

The view here is beautiful as you're right on the water between the bridges and there is an ample amount of shade and filtered shade through the trees. A combination of slides, poles, a tire swing and sand pit make for what could last 2 hours if you through in a game of hide & seek. I've never seen any real amounts of litter here and considering when I see something damaged in NYC Parks I fill out a complaint in the 311 app it's fixed in less than 2 weeks you know your tax dollars are working hard.

Bring your kids here after a day strolling around Dumbo, a ride or 2 on Jane's Carousel or after a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and you'll remember why you pay $4K rent to live in Brooklyn - and be darned happy about it.

Playground is entertaining but the near-constant noise from the Manhattan bridge makes this a place not to linger.

Love that there's tons for everyone in this area. Dumbo Boulders (climbing walls), Environmental Education Center.. Great views and walking the neighborhood is really great. Bring a draft coffee at the Feed Shop nearby.

Big space with sand, climbing, tire swing. Great views.

My nephew loves it here. Clean, and feels safe. Plus the DUMBO area is just a good spot in general for snacks after ect.

Who doesn't love a pirate ship playground with a big ole tire swing, sandbox and sprinkler in the summer. The water fountains always work and there is a public restroom only steps away. You can also hit up Janes Carousel around the corner or one of the many restaurants. Overall, a great spot to let the kids burn off some energy.
