The Meticulous Handyman

This review is a bit overdue -

I actually found the Meticulous Handyman via my daily commute into the city. I would see the van each day at the same spot and quickly coined them my "carpool buddy". Fast forward six months I was on a journey to open my own business and needed someone I could trust to give the space some pizazz and the Meticulous Handyman delivered. "Meticulous" is an understatement. Gary and Jeremy were so thoughtful, kind and strived for perfection when putting up my wallpaper. They were, beyond meticulous - about every detail. The owner, Jasper made sure to keep me informed along the way - with updates on timing, number of technicians needed and costs. They also put up my curtains and a small planter. These are both things my husband and I could probably complete ourselves but it would have taken triple the time and likely involved some unnecessary stress, lol :) I can't thank the team enough and will definitely use them for all future needs!

Jasper and Crew know what they're doing. Professional and down to earth. No upselling, but he provided some honest feedback and suggestions. We had them replace an exterior backdoor and fix our bathroom door. Both doors were tricky in true SF house fashion; nothing was square or lined up, but they rolled with it and made it happen.
My 3-year-old daughter locked herself in the bathroom, so I had to use a circular saw to cut a hole in it. Below are before-and-after pics. Amazing work that retained the original aesthetic of the old-timey door which was important to us. I honestly think it was magic the way they made it look like nothing happened.

We're more than satisfied with the excellent work by Jasper & team! They repaired our exterior stairway landing (which had a few rotten boards from years of water damage)- now replaced, sealed, & painted! They were on time, professional, & found a perfect match to our existing paint color. They also came back a few weeks after the initial job to make a few adjustments after the weeks of heavy rain. We'll be glad to support this growing business with our future handyperson tasks!

This was the first time using this business and I was extremely satisfied with their professionalism. Both Jasper, and the next day, Gary, showed up right on time . They were knowledgeable and communicated well the issues at hand with my project. Gary fixed the sticking door issue quickly and thoroughly with zero mess. We are very pleased with the result. Finding a handyman can be fraught in SF but I can confidently state that our search is over now that we've found Meticulous Handyman. Jasper and Evan were skilled, competent, friendly, and quick to consult with us on their preferred problem solving approach. Better yet, they finished early and under the estimate! I recommend them highly.

My first interaction didn't go well but. I decided to try again after a recommendation from an interior designer. Very happy I did. Not just professional but helpful, collaborative and communicative. Will use again.
