Our move had difficult access points on both ends, but these guys managed to pack everything carefully and move it very efficiently.

Update: I believe it benefits the owners and the consumers by leaving honest reviews, so that's what I'm doing. After my original review below, the "general manager" called me to try and rectify the situation. Likely because I left a 1 star review. My honest opinion is that this is not a female owned business as claimed, if that matters to you. He offered to send people out to help pack that day and could send people the next day to help load the pods. I needed the pods loaded that day because I work the next day, but decided to let them come the next day and handle the packing myself.

Prepping and loading: 4 stars.
4 guys show up to load the pods. They did a good job wrapping the furniture and loading the pods. However, they overuse blankets and padding for everything. It was unnecessary and caused issues that I'll get into.

Professionalism: 2 stars.
3 of the 4 guys were professional and 2 communicated well to address concerns. 1 guy was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. Because of their excess use of blankets (they covered our leather sofas and my pleather office chair even with them fully plastic wrapped) they ran out and started breaking down our moving boxes to protect furniture. Kudos for that although it meant I had to get more boxes. Prior to this, the 1 guy started barking at my wife about us not having enough blankets and they need more. She is disabled and kept trying to tell him to use the towels and sheets we provided. He continued yelling at her that they wouldn't work and was hostile in his delivery. She told him to talk to me. I'm working from home during all of this and in a meeting when he comes and starts telling me the same thing. I told him we don't have more moving blankets and to use the extras we have. I will get more once I can break from work. He continued telling me that won't work and I had to pause my meeting to deal with him as he was adamant about interrupting me. English is not their first language and it may be a cultural difference in communication style, but the others didn't have this problem. It was rude and disrespectful.

Wrap up: 1 star
I had to pull out a bunch of board games they lazily threw in there cuz they would have fallen and likely spilled the contents all over. They asked me to tip, which is normal nowadays but irks me nonetheless. They also asked me to revise the review which is what I'm doing. They were speaking russian to each other throughout the day and undoubtedly said things about us during the time.
The worst part is they didn't clean up after themselves at all. They left all of the empty plastic wrap cylinders everywhere. They drank our water bottles (not a big deal as it was hot and they worked hard) and left the empty bottles everywhere. They also helped themselves to soda in our fridge. I offered none of this, they just took it without asking. And worse, they left the empty soda cans everywhere which I found under a bookshelf thanks to a trail of ants!

Bottom line, would I hire again? No.
For the owners, it would be useful and logical to bring extra supplies to sell in the event of running out. Better than getting harassed by your employees.

Spoke to Maria on the phone to book movers to help us pack and move things into our pods. Everything was covered and the date was set verbally on the phone. I did not receive an email but it was pretty clear in our conversation that things were set.
The day they're supposed to arrive, no calls or people show so I call only to find out they never booked it. With our hectic schedules trying to move this was the last thing we needed. And yes, it's on me for not calling sooner to confirm but I've dealt with many companies where a verbal confirmation gets the job done.

The Rock Movers made my moving experience a positive one. I have to stress this, I HATE moving!. But utilizing our four man team, the moving crew got us from our old townhome into our new home with no fuss and little stress.

They were early, very professional, and moved so many of our delicate items with so much care. What would have taken me days to do on my own, they did in just an afternoon.

I would highly recommend them for your moving needs.

The movers went above and beyond! They far exceeded my expectations! I had to move within a 2 week time because of a family tragedy. I tried to be as ready as possible but it was hard. The guys came in created a plan and never stopped. The truck was packed like a puzzle and unpacked with care. They didn't even mind moving a large piece of furniture once we got to the new place. Maria who helped me set up the date and number of helpers, never seemed to mind all my questions and changes. Thank you all so much for being so wonderful in such a tough time!

Back movers did a really great job. They were the most competitively priced out of all of the quotes that I received. They also added onto the move the day of the move and helped me move some items that I had in a U-Haul and and the amount that they added on to the move was completely reasonable. They were fast, efficient and extremely nice. I would highly recommend them. Additionally, one of my items got lost in the move and I didn't find out until a couple of months after my move and I reached out to Maria at the rock movers and she helped reconcile the situation no questions ask which I really appreciate it. I would highly recommend them for any moving needs, they are super responsive super careful and super efficient.

Fast AF! They got the job done quickly. We did help move smaller items to their car to help out which I recommend if money is an issue. No reason to sit and watch unless you literally can't move. Helping them sped the process up so much and the men were very grateful for the help. Both guys were very friendly and we would definitely call them again!

The absolute BEST! Sasha and team helped us move. We opted for the 4 man moving crew. The guys were efficient, friendly, professional. Just an absolute pleasure.

Everything about moving SUCKS except hiring The Rock Movers. This was the best part of the move. Their pricing has to be the best in town. We went from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house. We had a lot to move. 4.5 hours from start to finish and the final price was LESS than I anticipated.

I'll be sure to recommend The Rock Movers to anyone planning to move and if we move again, they're my first call!

This company had reasonable prices. They were very fast and professional. They were careful with my items. I would use them in another move and/or recommend them.

Updating a disappointed review about a long distance move to 4 stars. Maria called and we discussed what took place.

There were reasonable misunderstandings possibly caused by a language barrier. She offered to make concessions which was not necessary. We had already remedied what required attention, and it was not a large cost or inconvenience to us.

Mistakes occur. I make them myself all the time. How businesses react when they occur speaks to the character of the ownership.

Can't make it 5 stars for the second move we used them for, hiccups occurred. But, based on their sincere efforts to make things better, which was greatly appreciated, we highly recommend the The Rock Movers
for both local and longer distance moves.
