The Spa Magnolia

This is the best spa in Victoria to get a pedicure . . . .

I've been going here since it opened, but not exclusively, though I must say this is one of the top spas in Victoria for services and care, and the best in pedicures.

I like the nice touches such as real candles, tea and citrus water, loaner reading glasses in the waiting area, plush memory foam pedicure massage tables that you just sink into, and high quality personal care options and toiletries in the change room.

The Transformation Pedicure ($65) is the best in Victoria because they do them while you are lying down so that you can rest or even nap while your feet are being transformed. Another reason is because of the professional, attentive care from the estheticians, all trained at The Aveda Institute. Aveda-trained professionals stick to meticulous sequencing and procedures every time and you will notice it at any spa, even in their stress-relieving foot massages.

For $15 add on the paraffin wax treatment to the pedicure, and you will also get a relaxing hand and arm massage while your feet take in the heat and benefits of the paraffin.

Last year I enjoyed the Escape spa package for over three hours of bliss as a birthday splurge ($285 - hydrotherapy, massage, exfoliation, facial, mani and pedi). My daughter has enjoyed their massage, pedi and manicure services as well, and I've enjoyed their couples massage with my partner.

Note, there are male and female estheticians, so if you have a preference you can advise when you make an appointment.

The only change I can suggest currently is that the main door now has a loud piezo alarm tone when opened that I could hear all the way to the back room.

Spa robes were luxurious, I felt welcomed and relaxed arriving early. Able to sit with tea in the lounge before service. I got a massage with facial Bliss package. Service was great, however, I felt pushed to buy products after which was a big turn off. I was told about it on the table during facial, then again when walking to the change room, then again as I was changing the woman came back and told me more about it and they would be on the counter. I was interested at first, but after feeling really like I had no option, I was out of the sale. I don't like that. I absolutely have an option. I loved the products and the woman was kind, knowledgeable definitely, we chatted a lot during services, but I do not like feeling like I am without option to go without if I choose. It felt like I was obligated or something. I told the front desk it's more than I wanted to pay and I will pass now.

Awful place - they took a reservation then claimed they couldn't find it and then told me they were charging me because I didn't cancel in time. Unorganized. Totally unprofessional. DO NOT GO.

This was the best spa treatment, self-care treat, experience I have ever had. Hands down.

My boyfriend surprised me with a facial at the Magnolia spa as a birthday present. The ladies at the front desk were super warm and welcoming. I was given the coziest robe I have ever worn and a few minutes to fill out an intake form. The woman who did my facial, Alex, was so extremely nice, and her voice and presence was so calming. The facial I had was a customized one, Alex picked out the products for me based on what my intake form said and what she saw when looking and touching my face. I also added on an LED light treatment (which was fantastic).

I could go on and on about this treatment. It was amazing, each step, each mask or lotion or serum she used smelled amazing, and Alex had an incredibly soft and soothing touch. I received a foot, arm, and scalp massage during the facial. I wasn't expecting that with my facial! It made me feel so relaxed and happy. Overall I felt extremely well taken care of and super relaxed. This was such a lovely gift for my birthday, I will for sure be coming back and recommending the Magnolia spa to my friends.

They took really good care of me at The Spa Magnolia. The lady who did my mani-pedi was friendly and engaged in conversation when I wanted but also didn't talk too much and let me relax as well. The spa was clean and had a good ambiance. Recommended!!!

I had a 60 minute therapeutic massage with Jill. Excellent service and I left feeling very relaxed. The changing rooms and the lounge where you wait to be called for your service are very nice and well appointed. Jill was interested in making it a great experience by checking in with me about areas of emphasis, amount of pressure etc. The robes are also fabulous ‍ A perfect activity for a getaway to Victoria.

My fiancé and I visited The Spa Magnolia a few months ago for a side-by-side couples hot stone massage. The spa is beautiful, calm and so relaxing. Everyone we interacted with ensured our time there was nothing but serene and we are excited to visit again soon!

I have been to many spas. I found this one to be ok. I got a pedicure with no polish. When I got home there still was some polish on my nails that was not removed. The person at the reception argued with me about what a Swedish massage was until I told them to google it. The shower head did not work properly. The waiting area was a bit budget.

When I go to a day spa it is to be spoiled. It is a treat and I expect to feel like an goddess through the full experience. I have always felt this way at other spas. I did not at this spa.

Don't come to this place !!!!!
Cons: I got an one hour Swedish massage but the massage was only max 45 mins. The masseuse was also not professional , the guy didn't know what he was doing. Pressure , skills , attitude were not worth $100. I will probably only pay $30 for this

Pro: ambience music and facility were very relaxing.

Overall, don't waste your money. Go somewhere else.

Wife and I stopped by during our weekend getaway, the staff was very professional and ambience was calm and relaxing. Locker/bathroom was very clean and well kept. We both got facials and eyebrow wax, I found it competitively priced for other spas in the area. Definitely be back next time we stay the night in Victoria
