    About the Business

Our Burger Truck is just what the San Francisco Bay Area has needed. We are the 1st and ONLY Stuffed Steamed Burger Truck in the United States. Our Steamed Cheeseburgers are "a healthier, tastier alternative" to regular burgers because they're cooked with steam, there's no oil or grease added during cooking. Most of the grease/fat from the meat is drained out after cooking. You won't feel like you've eaten a greasy burger afterward. We serve Angus ground beef or ground turkey on a fresh Brioche bun.

I can appreciate a steamed burger since I am averse to grease, but it does allow the flavor and juices to escape out of the meat. I did order without jalapenos, but probably should have left them in since that is what likely keeps the flavor intact. My bad. I also peeled away most of the bun, which was very dense.

On the upside, the fries are fantastic, and the guys on the truck are super friendly. Nothing overly negative - it just comes down to personal preference. Be sure to check in on Yelp for a complimentary water!

Possibly one of my favorite burger spots ever!

Patty is soft, filled with jalapenos & deliiicious! The cheese is perfectly melted and the patty is so good in general. If they're ever around the area (South SF) I'm always going to come back lol.

The past two times I've been here they had curly fries & I LOVED them (esp w the cheese melted on top!)

I wish they were around more often or had a brick & mortar shop! (hint hint)

This is one of the best kept secrets of the Bay Area!! To those looking for Halal burgers these are grass fed that taste so juicy!

The bun is amazing as well. Real cheese that is unbelievable. Tastes so fresh that you will be asking yourself to eat more. Great fries, great service!
      Can't get any better!!

Thanking the owner bigbad Rog for doing an awesome catering event!

      Updated review

Roger, what I wrote isn't a fake review. My burger was soggy and therefore disgusting. If the bread falls apart, how would I enjoy it? I didn't have time to respond to your message because life. Your business is no priority of mine.

I'm sorry to hear that you are so defensive and unwilling to accept mistakes on your end. You question where I purchase your food. I was playing golf in the Mission Bay on 4th street and was craving a burger, I left disappointed. I have actually been to your truck twice. One a long time ago and didn't remember if I liked it or not. This time was terrible, sometime in January. If you think I'm fake or the review of your food is fake, you need to get over yourself. I would strongly suggest checking your quality before you blast fake news and point fingers.

Be warned everyone reading this, this is how this business owner conducts himself. Tries to intimidate, yells fake news, point fingers and declares he needs to know who whistled on him. Reminds me of a certain president.

Edit 2: This guy spent the time to comb through 50,000 review to see if my name popped up. I find this hilarious. Who says the the person writing the review had to have paid for it? I didn't pay for it, a friend in our group did. She was equally upset at your food, perhaps I need to encourage her to come out of hiding and post a review. You're a waste of stomach space. I definitely went there in January, lies again. You should just stay closed.

I ordered black beans veggie burger at this place and it was probably the best veggie burger I have till date in SF. The bun was very soft with a crispy patty, avacado, mustard sauce and cheese. The burger was also good enough in size. Wish they offered fries with the burger but you can order them separately for I think 4$.
The only issue I had was the amount of time I spent to get the burger which was more than 15 min but I think it was worth the wait.
I will definitely try this place again but maybe not on a recurring basis.

      3.5 STARS

      The Money Shot.

No, I'm not talking about shooting man juices between the eyes like Clint Eastwood. I'm talking about DAT climatic food porn shot when sh*t oozes. Like when you cut into a soft boiled egg and the yolk oozes out like lava. It's all about DAT golden drip. Makes you wanna lick your lips doesn't it?

Born in Connecticut and touted as a healthier burger, is the Steamed Cheeseburger. The crowning of copious amounts of ooooeeey goooey, melted cheese cascading down the side of the patty makes it food porn, money shot worthy.

After seeing on the food porn pics on The Steamin' Burger's yelp page, I knew I had to have a taste of it. I was ecstatic to find The Steamin' Burger's truck at the SoMa StrEat Food Park over the 4th of July weekend.

On the menu were 5 Steamed Cheeseburgers:

*The Steamin' Burger: 1/3 lb jalapeno stuffed angus patty, sharp cheddar, onion, mustard, brioche bun ($8)
*The Double Play: The Steamin' Burger + Pastrami ($10)
*The Homerun King: The Steamin' Burger + Bacon + Avocado ($10)
*The Switch Hitter: The Steamin' Burger w/ a turkey patty instead of a beef patty ($9)
*The World Series Champ: The Steamin' Burger + Pastrami + Bacon + Avocado + Fried Egg ($13)

Also on the menu are Fries ($4), Cheese Fries ($5), Chili Cheese Fries ($6), and Pastrami Cheese Fries ($6).

CC's accepted. Make sure to check-in on yelp for 20%. I forgot to. =/

The owner (?) was really nice when I placing my order for The Double Play and it took a quick 5 minutes to receive my order.

As I was walking back to our table inside the barn, all eyes were on my money shot. When I placed it on the table, Tater Tot could smell burger love in the air: http://bit.ly/1HOfu0K. He thought if he looked all cute that he could get some: http://bit.ly/1KTiwBK. Sorry buddy, you're on the raw diet. No cooked burger foh you!

I gave Mr. NSS first dibs. Then it was my turn to sink my teeth into the money shot...

      The verdict?

It looked better than it tasted. Sure, steaming the patty removed all the fat but it also removed all the flavor and shrunk the patty so the bread-to-patty ratio was off. The steamed [well done] patty was tender but wasn't juicy (tasted more like a meatloaf). It was bland even with the cheese and the pastrami. The cooked jalapenos didn't really add much heat.

As I took a second bite, the bottom bun fell apart from all the water in the patty so we had to eat the burger upside down. Really heavy on the mustard so it was overwhelming. We also added a fried egg which was perfectly oozy. Make sure to get a lot of napkins because this is one messy burger.

The Steamin' Burger was more of a novelty item for me. It was good to try once but not something I would order again (3.5 stars rounded up because of the friendly and fast service).

IMO a burger is not a burger without that charred goodness with a bloody center. RAWR!

I are here a few days ago, they were at Spark Social on Tuesday! Funny thing is, is that when I tried to check in it said I was too far away from where they were. I was standing right in front of the food truck! Kinda funny but oh well, it seems Yelp is still used to them being at another location.

Anywho, I came after the lunch rush, closer to 115pm. There was one person in front of me and a few people waiting for their meals. I ordered the home run king with a side of cheese fries. Both were delicious. Burger was juicy and the cheese melted really well with the French fries.

What I really enjoyed about this food truck was the efficiency. Again, I came during the tail end of lunch, but my meal came out in about five minutes. The man I ordered from even said it was take about five to seven minutes anyways. I'm used to other food trucks at Sparks taking up to 15 minutes with making my meal with no one really waiting.

I would come back here. It was great. Quality American food!

The true definition of a 3-star is not technically a bad thing, it's "A-OK". It's like I don't regret eating there and I might eat there again, but it's not OMG rave worthy. They serve up an unconventional (for this part of the country) style of steamed burger and some dressed up fries. Truth be told I'd probably prefer Super Duper, but it's nice to have a change of pace from time to time.

The Steamin' Burger: Well done, but moist. Loads of melty cheddar cheese and enough jalapeños to give it a kick without being overbearing. Liked the raw onion slices to give some zing. Slathered with mustard but no ketchup by default. Without a strongly charred patty, it tasted a little meatloaf-esqe. I don't think I was digging the whole thick well-done thing after all.

Pastrami Cheese Fries: Spicy fries with a light batter. Topped with melted cheddar cheese that congeals pretty quickly. You basically have to pull bits of cheese from the massive clump to go with each fry bite. There are small pieces of chopped pastrami that seem to fall off each fry before you can get it to your mouth.
