Came in for a quick band adjustment. Had it done in five minutes.

Super friendly guy, good price, was also responsive on the phone call.

Needed a battery replaced in a quartz watch of mine - service was fast, communication was immediate, price was very reasonable.

With a lot of watch repair services disappearing (shops closing), and a tendency to be overcharged by jewelry stores, places like this (which, by the way, is inside the Ace Hardware Store in Concord...so don't look for street signage...just go into the Ace Hardware and turn left past the registers) are really nice to find.

While my first time, it looked to me like he had the the appropriate tools, workflow, and expertise...it's the little things you notice when you've been messing with watches for years. Things like casebook tools, workbench set an eye level, appropriate lighting and magnification. Seems to this layman that he's been doing this for quite a long time, and that's a comfort.

I own a Seiko 5 watch that was given to me by my mother in 1969. I wore it for about 6 years then the band broke and I put it in a drawer until now. I found an identical watch on ebay and i swopped over the movement and case back (because of the date code on the back). Now I have a new crystal, polished case and watchband and I still have the original parts. I started wearing it and noticed the watch would gain 1 minute every 1.5 hours. I look online and found the watch repair guy.

I was very impressed. He reminded me of Geppetto in Pinocchio and he just tinkers away at repairing watches. He has a small booth inside the Ace Hardware Store in Concord...so don't look for street signage...just go into the Ace Hardware and turn left past the registers.

It is a small shop within a shop. He is a nice man and very helpful. Good place to go and get a battery in my old school watch.

I brought in an old watch with very little hopes it could be restored because of internal corrosion. But within two weeks I got a brand new watch. Thankful for Richard's service. Will only be coming back here for future watch repairs. Fast quality work for a great value.

Richard helped me with a vintage Seiko that wasn't keeping time well. My wife got it for me as a bday gift and the watch would lose about 4-6 min each day. I took it to Richard and he worked on it but when I first picked it up, the same issue remained. I took it back in and he worked on it again and took care of it for no extra cost even though the problem was something unrelated to what he originally had tried to fix.

Store is in Ace Hardware! (To left when you walk in)
I had tried to get new battery in small town in Oregon at fancy jewelry shop. Should have known it would not work out when took the assistant 8 minutes to get the back off.
Richard had new battery in under 5 minutes.

Richard, the watch repair guy, was a pleasure to work with! My Seiko SKX had begun developing condensation underneath the crystal due to a faulty gasket after getting it wet. Richard was able to clean up the moisture and fix the issue same day and charged a reasonable price for his services. Happy to have found a watch maker so close to home, will be taking all my other watches to him in the future!

Richard provided excellent customer service, even texting me updates for the watch repair.
My watch prior to service (moisture appeared beneath the crystal after getting it wet due to a worn down gasket).

I sent a Bulova to be fixed by Richard, and I can definitely say he's one of the best in the area. The price that he gave was very reasonable, and less than the others in the area. The service was immaculate, and the watch is essentially better than when it was bought. I will definitely use Richard's watch repair again, and most likely will for years to come. As said before, THE BEST.

Bulova that I sent for repair, after he made it look like new.
