Tice Valley Physical Therapy

Superior physical therapy (PT). In addition to PTs, they have college educated PE, kinesiology and nursing assistants. Extremely well coordinated care at each session. I'm back to regular activities including running 30% sooner than anticipated.

I had a great experience at Tice Valley PT. The owners are involved each day, overseeing everyone's recovery and progress. The junior staff are awesome, and very helpful. I was impressed by the expertise, and how quickly they had me fully recovered and back on a snowboard, back to hiking and workouts. I highly recommend this group for any PT you need.

I highly recommend this place for physical therapy. Beautiful new facility with an incredible staff. Friendly and skilled professionals. They had me up and running after knee surgery in half the time the surgeon expected and I am not a young person. They are the best.

The PTs seem knowledgeable, but their attention is very divided during your appointments as they are working on several patients simultaneously. Your care is mostly provided by "interns" who often need to ask the patients themselves for instructions (instead of the PT). The whole experience feels chaotic.

My husband and I are in our 80s and have benefitted greatly from several rounds of PT each over many years. My husband's treatments have been predominantly from sports injuries (ankle, knee, shoulder, back) as he was a professional athlete when younger and is still very active; my treatments have been for conditions common among seniors. The staff at TVPT could not be more professional and effective, nor could they be more welcoming, supportive, and genuinely engaged with every client. They make each session a positive experience, earning them the respect and admiration of clients like us, and of the sophisticated physician community that recommends them so highly.

Outstanding, professional, lively P.T. help in a so positive environment of expert staff guiding, supporting real progress continually during appointments and for home exercises. Their location is a super facility with abundance of much natural light (very large windows) and pleasant view. At my age of over 8 decades it is a joy, moral booster to feel, have consistent, tangible progress. Tice Valley P.T. is a Real FIVE STAR happening; highly recommend it.

This is a great place with the most caring, personable people. I learned so much and recovered amazingly well. Really enjoyed working with everyone, especially my lead therapist, Rob. If I or my husband have future therapy needs will definitely come here.

Five members of my family have used Tice Valley PT over the past 20 years. and we absolutely love Don and his crew. I am the most recent client, having injured myself playing pickleball. I am making a miraculous recovery and plan to be out on the courts in the next three weeks thanks to Tice Valley PT!

Tice Valley Physical Therapy is by far the most effective, and professionally run P/T facility of the 5 different places I have had P/T over the past 10 years.

They have a great team of lead therapists, assistant therapists, and interns all of who get to know and support you while you are in the gym. I am writing this review in the hopes that I can save people who need P/T some time in finding a P/T facility that works for them.

Here are the details of how my sessions are run.
My therapy starts with 10 minutes of heat and ice. Rob Waters, my lead therapist, checks my progress by asking a lot of questions and puts me through a "try this - try that" so he can see what I'm talking about. Then he manipulates the areas where I am having pain (my neck and shoulder). Then he gives give me exercises and stretches to do in the gym and at home. The first few visits he watched me do every rep to ensure I have the correct form.

I no longer need a therapist by my side to do the exercises, but all the employees seem to scan the gym and will come over and correct my form or set me up for the next exercise as I move through my routine. As my condition changes, Rob adds different exercises. The last 10 minutes are for Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS). Each time I am there from about 45 minutes to an hour. I could leave in less time if I needed to or wanted to, but I don't rush through the exercises, thinking the more I put into P/T, the more I will get out of it.

Given my past experience, I didn't think P/T would work. I was just in the wrong place or not with the right people. When I started P/T my pain level was between 6 and 9 daily for 9 months. At times, I couldn't drive or sleep because of the stiffness in my neck. Now the pain is between 0 and 3. I am on my 14th visit and will probably use all 24 visits my insurance company authorized. I think I am learning some good habits that want to be ingrained, so I can stay healthy and keep pain away.
