Nissi Motors is run by honest, nice people who care.
They explain everything about the service, and know about the quirks of certain makes (i.e. my Fiat).
I paid more and had unreliable work done at the Fiat dealership, but never here. All the work done has lasted and was done in a reasonable amount of time.

I can't say more other than this is the best auto repair shop I've ever used.

I recently got bought another used Mercedes GLE. First thing I did was made an appointment to have Al service the car. He double checked and make sure everything was working properly. This is my 4th cars I brought to Al. Totally trust Al with all my cars!

When one of the rear brake lights went out recently, on my 2012 Fiat 500, I called Torx Motorsports, as usual, knowing Al would find an appointment for me within a day or two, fix the problem quickly and give the car a once over to spot any other potential problems. Turned out, I needed two new tires, as well as the replacement light. As usual, Al suggested quality, but reasonably-priced options and completed the repairs within the day. I'm hoping to keep this car for several more years, and I trust Al completely to keep it running smoothly and safely and to tell me when it's time to retire it.

A "Service Engine" light came up so I made an appointment with Al. *I dropped off my car in the morning and he was able to diagnose and finish the repair by the end of the day! He also gave me a few options before moving forward with the repair. The repair cost (parts + labor) was very reasonable and I was so happy to have my FIAT back & running great again. Thank you Al!

Hands down the best mechanic I've been to! As a woman, I'm always hesitant to get work done on my car. Some mechanics don't take you seriously, don't listen, or try to upcharge and tell you you need all this work done. That didn't happen at Torx. I was having brake issues and he was able to fix them! He even had me drive the car with him after it was fixed to make sure I felt safe and comfortable. He explained everything super patiently and let me ask a million questions. He showed me the work he had done. He was kind and considerate. His shop is clean and welcoming. I will definitely, definitely be coming here for all my Fiat 500 needs. THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BEST!

Al provided exceptional service, demonstrating his expertise by efficiently changing my brakes. Not only did he address my immediate concerns, but he also offered valuable insights into other necessary repairs. Throughout our interaction, he displayed commendable patience and actively listened to my concerns, providing thoughtful advice regarding other areas of my vehicle. I was particularly pleased that Al respected my budgetary constraints, allowing me to address repairs gradually rather than all at once. This consideration was especially important to me, as I had previously encountered an unfortunate experience with a dealership that performed unauthorized repairs on my brand-new car, resulting in unexpected expenses. Al assured me that he would always seek my consent before addressing any additional repairs, aligning perfectly with my preferences. Furthermore, he documented the other issues I mentioned, labeling them as "what to address later" on the invoice. Al's friendly and engaging demeanor made our conversation enjoyable. Despite my busy schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday, Al accommodated my limited availability, allowing me to pick it up on Thanksgiving Day. This arrangement worked perfectly for me, as my employer granted me the day off. I appreciated Al's flexibility. I am already looking forward to my next visit in a month for minor repairs and the opportunity to see Al again. Once again, I extend my gratitude to Al for his exceptional service. The brakes are performing excellently, and I even had the chance to experience the thrill of driving in sport mode on regular roads. Thank you for imparting your knowledge and for your exceptional hospitality.

We have a 2005 Mini Cooper that needed an oil change and a repair for our driver side window. We needed to find a reputable mechanic who works on Mini Coopers but who wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Our friend just recently had a lot of work done on her BMW at Nissi (now Torx) and recommended them to us.

I was put in contact with Ada back in 2019 and she is the best! Her communication is all I could have ever wanted and more. She was very open and honest about everything. Never tried to up-sell us. Once the window was taken apart she sent me a picture of it and what the work entailed. We had an issue with our windshield wiper motor which we ended up fixing later. However at the time, they went to check to see what the problem was at no charge. She gave me a breakdown of what the full charges would be and even asked if it is something that we wanted to continue with. She made it known that there was no pressure and we didn't have to proceed if we didn't want to. I really appreciated that.

They really did all they could to impress us as 1st time customers. Since then we have been back a numerous times to fix a list of things that was recommended (clutch, power steering, new tires, brake issue, etc). Al has been nothing but up front and is always doing what he can to save us money. We have been coming to Torx since June of 2019 and will keep coming back. If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, reliable place to take your vehicle, then go to Torx and talk to Ada and Al.

They hardly need it, but here's my five star review as well. I first met Al (the owner) when I bought a used 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth from a dealer in Texas and needed a "post-purchase inspection" to make sure it was as advertised. I had combed the internet and forums and discovered that Torx was one of the few shops in the bay area that worked on Fiats, particularly the 124 Spider. After the inspection, I decided I want to make a few modifications to my Abarth to improve the reliability and drivability. I reached out to Al to ask if he was willing to perform some of the work for me and from this grew a fruitful collaboration.
Having minimal experience modifying cars but armed with research from various 124 and Miata forums, I ran all my proposed performance modifications by Al first. Let me be clear, Torx is not one of those shops that creates those crazy race car builds with engines that eventually blow up, nor did I want a car like that. I wanted the car to look and drive like it came from the factory, albeit perhaps from a performance division like M-sport or AMG. Al's 20+ years of experience working for BMW is invaluable in this regard. To that end, Al helped me with the following upgrades over the past 12 months of ownership: upgraded spark plugs and coilpacks, upgraded diverter valve, upgraded sport springs (1/2" drop), upgraded to oem Brembo brakes, upgraded tires, upgraded manual shift bushing, swapped both seats for new Abarth seats, upgraded muffler to Abarth Record Monza muffler, and replaced all engine and transmission fluids to Amsoil. Al was also there answering my calls when I had a mysterious starting problem (resolved when I replaced my battery). All the modifications have resulted in a car that gives me pleasure every time I get behind the wheel. I've owned over a dozen new and vintage cars in my life (air-cooled Porsches, Audis, Acura, etc.) and have extensive experience with mechanics and shops and I will say that my experience with Al and Torx Motorsports beats them all.

Torx Motorsports exceeded my expectations for great service, timeliness, and expertise for foreign cars. Located in the heart of SOMA, it is very accessible and offers appointments as early as 8am (maybe even earlier if you ask).

I recently bought a new car, a Fiat 124 Spider, which was due for its 20,000 mile service and an oil change. I scoured through several auto shops in SF and surrounding areas and found Torx Motorsports to offer the best expertise and top recommendations to keep my car running smoothly from Ada and Al. In fact, the other auto shops did not mention a key component that is recommended by Fiat to change upon reaching my service mileage milestone. Torx Motorsports offered the parts number and I was able to purchase this after-market to save money and they installed successfully. Moreover, I received very good recommendations in the area to have a tire fixed and receive a price quote for a backup dash cam (w/ loop recording) installed.

Service: 5/5. No doubt about it. These are the top foreign car specialists in the area, especially for Fiat.

Overall, will come back as my recurring service providers. Thank you Ada and Al!

Always pick up the phone and reply to emails and are very upfront about costs.
