      This review is for Martin Lee (service advisor). He is the epitome of great customer service. After a horrible couple experiences at Albany Toyota (DO NOT GO THERE), I decided to just bite the bullet and drive to Berkeley to get my car looked at since it was still under warranty.

      Martin was empathic to my situation, suggested what could be wrong, and assured me that his mechanics would take a look and figure it out. I'm so glad I made the switch, even if it means driving across town.

      I would not recommend this dealership for anything !! they're sales suck in July of 2024 they sold me a car with more than 4 misfires and a broken headliner. It was beyond difficult to get in contact with their service team despite how easy it was the first time around when purchasing the car , they give you the run around and I was left to fix problem after problem on my own out of pocket. I notified them same day of purchase that they car began to give me problems , if i could turn back the time i'd save my money and time and avoid this dealership all together. They're service team also extremely unhelpful and unethical , i was forced to take my car to a horrible part of town in oakland to leave it because that's their only choice of service mechanic due to the "better pricing" THERE MECHANIC DID NOT FIX NOTHING! I again had to pay my mechanic to 1. double check his work 2. to actually complete the work.
      Unfortunately they were not willing to work with me on almost anything. This dealership lacks dignity , compassion, and authenticity.
      out of 5 dealership automobile purchases i experienced this was definitely by far the most stressful worst car buying experience i have ever experienced. I had high hopes working with Toyota of Berkeley and out 5 dealerships this was the first and only dealership to fail me. I would NEVER go back nor refer or recommend this dealership for anything. Please take the time to read and LISTEN to the reviews which is what I should've done from the jump.

      The service department here is outstanding. I bought my Tacoma TRD Off road truck here in 2019. Taken it in for regular service, and I have to say, these guys are excellent. Always friendly, super knowledgeable, professional, and they make you happy you bought your vehicle from Toyota.

      I want to do a special shout-out to Vincent Lee who usually helps me. He has helped me learn a lot about my vehicle too.

      Great place to get your Toyota serviced even if you didn't buy it here.

      I came in on July 3rd, 2024, and Delila a very friendly and nice sales rep helped me with test driving a 2020 BMW M340i. After the test drive, I wasn't sure how to put it in park and struggled before she helped me with properly placing it in park. I liked the car so we went inside to talk numbers.

      After signing the contract, I was ready to leave with my car. Delila then informed me that the GWS module had locked up and they would help fix it and get back to me.
      Rudy the sales manager, was extremely helpful in keeping me informed and up to date throughout the whole process.

      On July 12th, Rudy said the car would be ready for pick up around 12-1PM. He also took extra steps to ensure the car was also filled up with gas and detailed for my arrival. Not only did he fix the module but instead of unlocking it he replaced the entire part free of cost!!!

      I arrived around 2pm and saw the cleaning crew wrapping up. Delilah gave me the keys and gave me a little gift for my troubles she also showed me how to properly put the car in park to avoid any issues.

      I left the dealership without inspecting the vehicle and drove straight to work, a 6-minute drive from the dealership.

      Immediately, as I'm on the freeway the tire pressure light came on. I get to work checked and found a poorly patched tire.

      I text my boyfriend he rushes over he took pictures of my vehicle and noticed the car bumper was broken as well! When the car was left behind there were no damages on the front bumper.

      I then try to make some calls and noticed my phone was about to die and decided to charge it in the car only to find out the charging port wasn't properly working.

      I came back to the dealership on July 23 Although almost a full week had passed by before I decided to report these issues Rudy was still extremely helpful and is planning on helping me fix these issues.

      My experience hasn't been the best with the car itself as some minor problems popped up after signing off on paperwork, however
      Rudy has stepped in and is doing everything he can to ensure customer satisfaction which is extremely appreciated!

      If you decide to buy a car I recommend getting Delila's help with sales and for any issues that need management's attention I recommend going to Rudy!

      Alexis and Simon were extremely helpful. They have great customer service and worked with us to get the best deal for our GR86. Alexis accompanied us on our test drive up Grizzly Peak. She went above and beyond in making the experience for me and my partner memorable. Simon was thorough in breaking down the different package options for our purchase and was really patient. It made us feel more confident and reassured with our purchase especially after getting offered the complementary 7-year environmental damage coverage for our new car. This dealership really cares for its customers and I highly recommend them if you are looking to purchase a Toyota!

      FYI... no one contacted me as "Jess C." indicated. Now I realize they just have a response and do absolutely nothing about it, likely for every review. My son is still not well and had to hire a driver to pick up his car for $400 since they needed it removed immediately. Awful customer service. Wish I could have given zero stars.

      $3,997 for a 60k maintenance on a Highlander. Feels like we got completely ripped off. The cost appears to be 3x to 4x what people online say they pay for this service. And they are unable to produce a complete receipt showing why the cost was in excess of the already obscene $3,300 quote when the car was dropped off. Did the dealer blatantly take advantage of my wife? Sure feels like it. We wont be back to purchase or service cars.

      Every time I bring my car in, they always seem to tell me my car is due for some type of point inspection test that will cost $500+ & I'm swindled every time even tho I explain I work from home & don't drive the car much at all. The last straw was using scare tactic to tell me that my car is leaking oil & needed repair. "Oil is leaking everywhere! We need to do the repair & it will cost $3,200 but because you're a long time customer we'll only charge you $2,800." I took my car to a retired mechanic that my brother trusted for a second opinion & he found NO OIL LEAKS AT ALL! Good bye Berkeley Toyota.

      This was my first time at Berkeley Toyota. I usually dread going to get servicing done for my vehicle, but Martin Lee, my technical liaison, made the process quick and easy. He was polite, professional, and answered all of my questions. He even went the extra mile to check on some information for me.

      I received my vehicle back at the time he said it would be ready. I have no hesitation in taking my vehicle there again and highly recommend the service department at Toyota of Berkeley, especially Martin Lee.
