If you're craving Pineapple Dole Whip like at Disneyland then go on to Trader Jim's website and find out where they will be because their pineapple soft serve will have you thinking that you're eating it at Disneyland!

On this particular Saturday my friend used his handy dandy Yelp app to find something in Petaluma for some sort of dessert and Trader Jim's popped up as being at the Farmer's Market at Walnut Park on the west side of Petaluma so we decided to go. We started strolling by all the different stands and offerings and then there it was the Trader Jim's Tiki trailer. We couldn't wait to get a taste of their pineapple whip! I had the pineapple float which was the pineapple whip in a cup with pineapple juice. Talk about delicious!!! And the price was right!

Don't forget there is no need to travel to Southern California when you have a hankering for that delicious pineapple whip as you need not look any further than your own backyard and Trader Jim's Tiki Trailer. Head to their website and find out when and where they will be next (hint, hint, they frequent The Barlow in Sebastopol quite a bit!).

But anyways, I got to try out a bit of their pineapple juice and pineapple whip at the recent activated charcoal food festival and it was great. The line and wait were absurdly long being that it was a hot day but I could understand why. Their pineapple whip is very refreshing on a hot day. Their juice was okay, but being that they seemed to be low on ice that day, I think it would've much better at a colder temperature and would give them a pass on that. I think the combination of the two would be perfect which they serve as a float with a lil umbrella. I definitely gotta try that next time I get the chance!

Trader Jim's was the first "ice cream" I tried at the Spark Social food truck ice cream event. The dole whip was $5. While I don't think it was exactly the same as the dole whip served at Disneyland and Disney World, it was good enough. I appreciated that they made the swirl come to a perfect point and that they included a festive drink umbrella. The yellow mini food truck is beyond adorable. Refreshing and sweet.

Am I in Disneyland? No....but I felt like I was for a moment.
The "dole whip" wasn't exactly the same but that was OK by me. It was a tropical, sweet treat and that's all I needed.

Trader Jim's duplicates the Disneyland experience by offering Dole Whip products: floats, soft serves, etc.

I would not order from them again. Delivered the ice cream without anything to keep it frozen. Did not even give a time frame for delivery. It sat outside for 5 hours. The driver didn't even wait to see if someone answered the door.
If you deliver ice cream yOu would think you want it to stay frozen so you dont poison people.
I will never use them again. Beware before ordering

I love pineapple. This was amazing I almost drove back to get another but was already out of town. Track these guys down you will not be sorry.

We got referred by Trader Jim's from our wedding coordinator, Lisa Bravo, and couldn't be more happy with them. We love soft serve and dole whip, and we wanted a tropical touch to our wedding so this dessert option fit in perfectly. The booth looks awesome and much classier than other food trucks. The rental was affordable and we compared other soft serve or ice scream vendors and we couldn't have been more happy in choosing them. Your guests will love it too, everyone from the kids to elders were enjoying the healthy dessert. Everyone we corresponded with was very responsive and was always ready to help or answer any questions we would have. Thank you!

Trader Jim's has revived the Dole whip that was popular at Disneyland, complete with a nostalgic trailer&chalkboard menu. Be sure to check their website for their schedule- they are closed on Sundays&Mondays, they are at Petaluma's Farmer's Market on Wednesdays, and on Thursdays, they are at the Sonoma Development Center near Glen Ellen; they're also at special events. The Sonoma Development Center has an awkward parking situation- it's best to park along Arnold Drive.

They have friendly, quick service and make a wonderful Pineapple Whip. At $5 it's a deal. Since the soft serve is made from coconut milk, it's lighter than the dairy kind. It's vegan&one can call it an Orange Julius kicked up several notches. On a hot day, it made an excellent dessert.... and it sure beat paying Disneyland admission! It's a magical treat.

They go to Disneyland for inspiration, but the pineapple whip has an interesting history rooted in Californian theme parks. Vacaville's Nut Tree (which initially opened as a fruit stand in 1921), which preceded Disneyland in 1955, had a pineapple whip of its own- https://cookeatshare.com/recipes/fresh-fruit-with-marshmallow-sauce-a-nut-tree-vintage-recipe-620956 It was more of an assortment of fresh fruit with a marshmallow sauce. The marshmallow dip is made from mayonnaise, egg yolks, etc. Not exactly soft serve in pineapple juice.

Trader Jim's is excellent! Perfect on a hot summer day. A hidden treasure. This "taco" truck should be on every corner.

Saw their cans and cans of Dole Pineapple juice so fair to call them Dole Whips. The soft serve wasn't too ice like LoveBerry. Haven't tried Pineappples to compare. Didn't have the cherry on top so it's a Disneyworld Dole Whip. The Dole Whip at Disneyland has more soft serve as well. I was able to finish the whole thing in under 3min since it was so small (the heat also help melt it quickly). Good to satisfy if you're craving a Dole Whip.
