It's a very nice Trader Joe's, certainly by Manhattan standards. Spacious, well-stocked. I almost never fail to find things I need. It's also usually not too crowded if you go in the morning.

Probably one of my favorite Trader Joe's locations in the city. This location in particular is well spaced out and decently stocked (although last time I was here pasture raised eggs were completely sold out...which is what I came here for...which was a total bummer). Employees are generally in a good mood and helpful if you need help finding something or checking to see if they have anymore of anything in the back. There's a bathroom in this location that's decently clean which I also appreciate since I often stop on here after having dinner in the city and need to use the facilities before I trek back to Queens.

Ambiance wise, the store is clean and well lit. Check out lines move quickly like a well oiled machine. It's conveniently located right near the subway, so very central to get to and from. If you're in the area and need a few things from the grocery store, this location is worth a visit.

Trader Joe's is always a welcome in any neighborhood especially my new work neighborhood, Soho.
Here's why this location ALSO rocks:
      Location:
TJ on Spring Street is verrrrrrrryyyyyy conveniently located next to the Spring street train station which is great for a pre and post work stop by.
      Inventory:
Soho TJ is very nicely stocked but has a disappointing small cheese section, I wonder why? I love the stock on my faves: TJ movie style popcorn ( have you tried this yet? You won't be disappointed!), dried mangoes, TJ olive oil, soups, just tried the Butternut Squash and loved it, a bargain at $3.99. Healthy but sitting next to Lobster Bisque... very tempting.
      Seasonal:
Pumpkin this, pumpkin that.. ooh Pumpkin dazzle me!
The seasonal merchandising are also conveniently located near checkout: those Pumpkin batons are mighty good! The Cinnamon blondie baking mix.. don't tempt me you pumpkin devil!
      Customer Service:
Consistently great and love that all TJ employees walk you to the aisle where the item you want is located vs. pointing. Well done!
The lines are much smaller than Gold Street, muy pequeno which puts a BIG smile on my face!
      Ambience:
Just needs a bit of tweaking.. big space but a little dark. Compared to other TJ, Soho needs to come to life a bit, Soho has a hip vibe and TJ needs to step it up.
After all, their cool flower selection ( btw all TJ locations I shop at from Williamsburg to Manhattan, have great flowers and great prices) can only do so much.
All in all, so happy you're in my work neighborhood!
      Thanks TJ!

This is such a nice TJ location! It's conveniently located next to the Spring St (C/E) station and it is quite large. I usually measure how spacious TJ locations are in the city by how wide the aisles are, and the aisles here are large enough that I don't have to worry about bumping into other people. It is generally well-stocked as well, so I swing by here when I'm having trouble sourcing certain products. The staff are friendly and helpful, like all other locations.

      Updated review

Trader Joe's Soho 2023 has gone downhill. I no longer recommend this location. This location has a attitude as if they are doing customers a favor by opening their doors.

They do not keep the basic staples in stock (eggs, butter, bread). Thankfully I only use eggs, and butter for baking at holidays.

The friendly staff they used to have working at the store are not there. They have brought in a new crew that is rude, confrontational, argumentative as you are checking out. Definitely not the experience you get at Whole Foods or Wegmans.

What i absolutely detest is when I am paying for my groceries, and I am finalizing the bill, the cashier is assisting me, Trader Joe's allows their other store staff to casually walk up to you while your in the middle of your purchase transaction to have a discussion, spark an argument, ask about totally irrelevant nonsense, as if paying for my products is not a priority. I have shared this with management and despite sharing. It continues daily.

To have a horrible human of a store employee like Breanda, I will not patronize that store until she's gone, and I hear changes has been made for a kinder customer experience. I do not spend my money in establishments that treat customers bad!

In and out in 5 minutes with my whole list, a new record, staff are friendly and helpful. Store was pretty empty and VERY well stocked. This is a great TJ's location, more compact but still has the essentials, gotta love it. Shout out to my cashier Kyrie!
      For being friendly and efficient.

We were taking a bus home just around the corner from this location today, so it was a great opportunity to buy as much as we could carry. When we entered the store and got a cart, we asked a nearby employee for the location of a certain item and she immediately asked if we wanted her to bring us there (we thanked her and said it wasn't necessary, but certainly that was very gracious of her). Also; the cashier was *incredibly* friendly, she had a wonderful sense of humor and she was wearing a terrific Christmas costume.

I love a well organized, stocked Trader Joe's. Especially one that' wasn't jam packed with people shopping. This one was good. The service was great! The pickings were great. They didn't have a couple of items i originally wanted, but that's okay. I subbed them for other stuff. It's almost impossible to spend under $80 nowadays. Lol. I was kinda close to this location, so instead of going to the Trader Joe's that's closest to me, this one was worth the walk. If I'm in the city, I'd definitely hit this one up. No pics this time.

YAY!! This is the best Trader Joe's in the city! I've been shopping at this location since the first day they opened their doors. I was one of the residents who was SOOOO excited when this location began construction because there are no other grocery stores in the area. The closest grocery store was Dean & Deluca in SOHO and, I mean come on! Who was doing weekly grocery shopping at Dean & Deluca?

And so fast forward to now and I love how everyone in the store is aware that I am in the store every time I stop in to grab a few items. It's as if an announcement is blasted over the intercom, "Black person on the way in. Repeat, GROWN BLACK PERSON on the way in! Everyone be sure to watch her shop! She may buy too many sugary products."

It makes shopping fun! In addition to making consumer decisions, I also get to run through the store in circles, in a lab rat, labyrinth kind of motion. Simply to annoy the people who are also circling right behind me in the same circular, lab rat, labyrinth kind of motion. So we all circle around together like a bunch of video game AI avatars where the game is called "Chase The Black Woman Shopping" and honestly, at this point, it has became really fun! :)

Fun like in the film "Get Out" kind of fun! Where you smile real big while "ugly cry" tears stream down your face at the same time.

There's no human rights issue there or anything. Completely normal for people to act like bigots in 2023.

What an impressive Trader Joe's I went in right before Thanksgiving to pick up a couple of snacks and they had 25 people working at the registers. I thought the line would be out the door and it's amazing how quickly I might've only been in line for three minutes. Great customer service at the store. Great location .
